This 2-bedroom/1-bath rental is designed to promote the health benefits of greenspace and therefore offers a Caribbean stay distinct from the traditional ocean or seaside views. Guests at the Smith House can hear waves crashing in the distance and smell the odor of the Caribbean Sea that is only a 5 minute walk away. However, they also get to enjoy the stress reducing tropical garden environment that surrounds the residence. In addition, guest are free to pick and enjoy the antioxidant-rich tropical fruits that are in the garden. Indoor amenities include free wifi and comfy airconditioned bedrooms with smart TVs and windows that offer garden views. Guests can prepare meals in a full kitchen and dine indoors or outdoors. The backyard tropical garden offers walking paths, signs that name the various tropical fruit trees, and shaded areas to sit or recline while listing to the sound of flowing water from 2 water features.

This property is a family inheritance and that is why it is called the Smith House. After the hurricane disaster that hit the US Virgin Islands in September 2O17, I decided to surround the residence with an old-school Caribbean environment that reduces stress and promotes food sustainability. What has evolved is an environment where walking paths traverse a garden of fruit trees and tropical plants. A stress relieving place where you can eat and spend time outdoors in the sun or shade. The inside and outside environments at this property captures the easy going spirit of Caribbean living I enjoyed as a youth.

When you open your bedroom curtains in the morning, you are greeted by the beauty of a natural tropical garden and you feel refreshed. Later, you can have your breakfast outside while listening to your favorite music or simply enjoy the sound of flowing water from the waterfall or pond. To get your fesh supply of vitamins and minerals, you can pick fresh fruit or check the small vegetable garden for the pick of the day tomato. The combination of these features makes staying at this rental a unique experience.
