Down Home Coastal - A Resort Style Beach Escape

Down Home Coastal is a newly updated spacious 2 bedroom / 2 bath corner condo in Crystal Tower. Each bedroom boasts a large attached and furnished balcony with views of the Gulf of Mexico or Little Lagoon. Enjoy the private beach and large beachside pool/hot tub with lazy river via an air-conditioned walkway. Other amenities include two additional pools (1 outdoor with hot tub and 1 indoor heated pool), well equipped fitness center, sauna and outdoor grilling area.

The Minimum Age Requirement for Booking is 25

Beginning April 1, 2025, the facility will be monitored by a system that scans license plates to determine if you are a registered guest. You will be provided a code to use to register your vehicle and pay for parking upon your arrival at the complex. Acceptable forms of payment will be by card only. Cash payments will not be accepted. There is a maximum of 2 vehicles. Policy is strictly enforced.

Fee Schedule Per Vehicle
One Night Stay = $20.00
Two Night Stay = $40.00
3 - 7 Night Stay = $60.00
There will be an additional $5 per night charge for stays over 7 nights during the months of April - October. Parking will be capped at $60 per stay during the winter season months of November - March.

Where do I begin… First I would like to say the communication is top-tier! Long story short; dates got mixed and I was afraid to lose that week. I contacted the host, and then called VRBO and they stated that the host was already on it. Secondly, they truly are super hosts and the place was a nice quiet, clean vacation rental. Thirdly, everything was explained in detail, everything was organized and laid out properly for us to find. We will be back!

Great family vacation

Great Beach Vacation

Floors were in need of sweeping and mopping upon arrival, but other than that it was very clean and we enjoyed our stay at this property.

Will be staying here again! Within walking distance to some of my new favorite restaurants & of course the beach! Owners were very quick to respond to any questions I had both before and during my stay. Looking forward to my next stay!

They were doing some construction to one of the pools and fixing the hot tub during our stay but otherwise really family friendly place to vacation.

Great spring break trip!

We had a great family spring break trip! The condo was sparkling clean and welcoming on our arrival. It was the perfect size for our family of four with two teenage daughters. It's in a great location and the skywalk makes it easy to get to and from the beach. Owners are easy to communicate with and respond quickly to messages. Highly recommend!

Gulf getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Down Home Coastal. Everything you need is provided and the correspondence with the property owners was effortless. The unit is beautifully decorated and very comfortable for the 6 of us. We would definitely recommend this property.

Pool and Sand access

Having the pool and sand option was amazing. My family likes the beach but sometimes needs a pool option and Crystal Towers gives you both options. Rooms were spacious and king size beds were comfortable.

Awesome Getaway!

My wife and I and our toddler stayed at this location for several nights. The condo was great - everything was clean and spacious. We enjoyed having 3 different pools on property (especially with a little one). The short walk to the large pool / beach area was quick and easy. We will definitely think about coming again!

Down Home Coastal is Amazing!

Down Home Coastal is the perfect vacation condo. Spacious, clean, and full of amenities. The views are beautiful and the patios are the perfect place to relax. There are pools, hot tubs, work out room, and even a sauna. The property owners are organized, friendly, and always available. We will definitely be back.

We stayed June 15-22! We left this morning. The condo was perfect for our family of 5. It was very clean and well maintained. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and pullout couch bed and even a roll away twin bed! The roll away bed was perfect for our 3 year old! Access to the beach was so nice walking through an air conditioned walkway! Yes it is across the street from the ocean but still has amazing views from the master bedroom and the living room and balcony! Will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful condo & great experience!

This condo is so nicely done with relaxing beach theme decor. Definitely one of the nicest beach condos we have seen. There is a closet full of beach gear including a wagon, pool noodles, floats, etc. Rooms are nice size, kitchen is stocked with dinnerware, elevators were close, only one floor from the walkway to the beach. The staff in the lobby were friendly & knowledgeable, they took pride in Crystal Towers. And if you need a pen to fill out the parking pass, they will have one for you to use. The amenities were clean & well kept. The owners responded to our questions very quickly, check in & out was a breeze. We really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to book the same condo in the future!

July 2023 stay

We loved this condo and working with Brad and Jennifer. Our only complaint was that the floors were dirty upon arrival. It was clear that they had not been properly cleaned in several turn overs as we ended up swiffering the floors to try and get some of the dirt up. We let Brad know and he was immediately responsive and had the cleaning crew come out ASAP to reclean. After their departure the floors were pristine and our feet were no longer black. As for everything else it was the perfect property for our family of 5 ti enjoy Gulf Shores.

Great place to stay!

My family enjoyed our stay here for the week. Condo was great, owners were super helpful and awesome to communicate with. The complex is very family friendly! The condo had everything we needed for the week, spacious and nicely decorated. Only downfall for us was the handicap access to the beach. Having a paraplegic daughter in a wheelchair it was very challenging getting to the beach even with a power beach chair. Crystal Towers does not have an access ramp to get onto the beach. We were told we could use the neighboring complexes (Legacy) ramp, but that access is thru their parking deck where cars park and block the entry so we had to go down the street to another access and make it work. Just keep that in mind if handicap access is a must as in our case. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend to others!

Thanks for the honest review Melissa! We are glad you enjoyed our place and apologize for the beach access issues. Unfortunately, Hurricane Sally destroyed our accessible beach ramp. Due to the damage to the beach itself we could not get approval to rebuild the ramp. We did receive some positive news from the city this week. The beach restoration project that will go from Gulf Shores to Orange Beach has been approved. The restoration will begin in our area in November and should be completed before the end of the year. Once completed our beach should be significantly deeper and we’re expecting to receive the approval to rebuild our accessible ramp. I will make sure to let you know once we have the ramp rebuilt.
