Stunning Modern Downtown House w/ Wood Stove + Hot Tub

Stay at the Base Camp House in the heart of downtown Mount Shasta! After a day adventuring on the trails, slopes, mountains, or lakes, celebrate with great food, a new hot tub & the full mountain town experience staying in a modern house remodel on historic main street, Mount Shasta Boulevard! Walk to everything downtown including outdoor gear shops, coffee shops, bars, and restaurants or pick up fresh local organic food at the Berryvale Grocery Store and craft a meal in the stocked kitchen.

Our home can support up to 10 guests and their party will have access to all the main floor amenities, including the fabulous hot tub on the back patio. The main floor includes a bedroom with a queen bed, laundry in the hallway, a full bathroom with a tub and shower stocked with supplies, another half bedroom with 2 bunk beds with a double and a twin on each, a living room with a couch, ottoman (with games inside) and TV, a dining room table, and a stocked kitchen ready for you to cook a favorite dish.

DOWNSTAIRS ACCESS: Bookings with 6 guests or more automatically get access to the basement. It’s newly remodeled with a queen bed, full kitchenette, full bathroom, small dining area, and TV. If you have less than 6 guests but still want to book the basement, message us (inquiry) and we will walk you through reserving the basement for your stay.

PARKING: There is space for one vehicle in the driveway and then street parking after that. We share a driveway with our neighbor behind the house. If you park in the driveway, please do not block the garage. Pull up and to the right so the neighbor can get out. You can also park on the street when it’s NOT snowing. If it’s snowing, park your second vehicle on a nearby side street (off S Mount Shasta Blvd).

Great space for a group! We had access to the basement and had plenty of bathrooms. Décor was cute and on trend. Comfortable. We couldn't get the downstairs television to work for us. It would power on but that's as far as we could get it. The upstairs tv worked great so it wasn't too much of an issue. We would definitely stay here again. Backyard space was cute and hot tub was nice.

Loved the location and such a cute property. The floors could use a good cleaning, and the outside patio as well. The hot tub lid (device that helps you get the lid off) was broke. Walkable to downtown and the host was wonderful.

We had a pleasant stay, kitchen was fully stocked, the whole house was very clean. Not sure why host was not able to receive my messages through Vrbo, so my questions were not answered, but my questions were just supplies related, didn’t affect the trip.

Great stay

Stayed for a long weekend for daughter’s birthday ski weekend. Easy 20 minute drive to the slopes. The hot tub was awesome at the end of the day. It is on a busy main road and trains are chugging by too, but didn’t bother us or our guests. Nothing fancy but clean and comfortable unless you’re sitting on the sectional (lumpy doesn’t even begin to describe)we had an awesome time though and would definitely stay again

Nice Downtown Bungalow

Our family of 5 came to Shasta to enjoy a relaxing ski weekend. When reserving the house, we wanted something close to downtown with enough room for our growing boys with a hot tub. This was a nice house, very close to downtown. We loved having the hot tub to soak after a long day of skiing! The advertisement of 3 bedrooms was a little misleading, the host only opens the third bedroom (lower floor) if you have a party of 6 or more. My teenager did not like sharing a room with his younger siblings. The couch was very uncomfortable. Overall we really enjoyed our trip and the house was great!

Comfortable stay

We loved staying at this property. Very clean, well stocked and very conveniently located in downtown Shasta. The room towards the front of the property with all the bunk beds, was quite noisy at night (vehicles passing through the main road, sound of the train horn etc). If you are a light sleeper like me that is not an ideal room to sleep in. A few easily fixable inconveniences - 1. There was no sugar in the kitchen (we did not pack basics like salt and sugar assuming the kitchen will have it) 2. The heating units in the rooms have remotes but none of the remotes seem to be able to change the temperature. Got too warm at night but we were unable to reduce the temperature.

Nice location

Nice stay in this house. The best surprise was the AC, we weren't expecting it. The best thing was the location in the town, close to everything within walking distance. Highly recommended.

Great Location

We had a great time and were close enough to walk to the downtown area. The house was just as described. Our daughter was close by with her family so we gathered quite a few times at this location to make and have our meals. It was stocked with all the things we needed to have our meals there with even had some staples on hand. The house was clean and could have accommodated a lot more people than just the two of us because of the second bedroom with two bunks. We are happy we chose this location.

Great Climbing Basecamp

The property served perfectly for me and three teenage boys on a climbing trip to Mount Shasta. The property is not 1701 square feet - perhaps with the downstairs unit which was not accessible to us. It is about 1000 square feet. The full bath is shared, and the half bath is in the bunk room. The kitchen was moderately equipped; a salad spinner and flat cookie sheets would have been helpful, as would a larger cutting board and sharper knives. We prepared most of our meals in the house and other than those items, the kitchen has enough cooking equipment.
