Okanagan Mountain Retreat - Want to feel like you’re vacationing right on the mountain? This incredible, 3 bedroom and 2-bathroom log house sleeps 6 and sits on 5 wooded acres. Just 12 minutes drive from Silver Star Mountain, it’s that extra bit of space that you may need for your winter holiday.

Kids nook in the master is the perfect spot for your little traveler. It has a single bed and the bedroom has a window with beautiful views. If you do have a child, Okanagan Mountain Retreat can sleep 7 guests.

Walk through the front door to the open living area with a kitchen, dining room and cozy living room with a wood burning fireplace – perfect for snowy evenings. When you step outside from the main living area, you’ll find an incredible deck with lots of seating and views of the forest. This is the absolutely perfect spot for your morning coffee in the summer. Just down the hallway off the main living area, there are the two queen bedrooms, full bathroom and laundry room. On this level and off the living room, you will also find an alcove with a desk and stationary bike.

From here, you can head upstairs to the master bedroom with full ensuite and kids sleeping nook.

Don’t feel like leaving the property? Explore the 5 acres on the already created trail system. The perfect way to start your day! Your dog will love this house too. Not only will your dog be able to enjoy the trails and trees with you but there is a locked dog area where you can leave him or her for the day while you’re up skiing!

There is an outdoor firepit for you to use while you're outside enjoying nature but it's not available during the summer when there is an active fire ban.

Okanagan Mountain Retreat has central air conditioning for cooling off on those warmer summer days.

There is a large driveway with enough parking for 3+ vehicles.

Okanagan Mountain Retreat is a fully equipped house with its own laundry facilities. Housekeeping is not included during your stay but if you require additional housekeeping during your stay, it can be arranged at an additional cost.

Special feature: Our unit has a keyless entry (you will be provided the access code prior to arrival). This makes it convenient for you to arrive at any time after check-in time - so if you want to check in late or come a day early arriving late at night - you could just make first tracks in the morning.

"I highly recommend this quaint and beautiful log house. Six family members and two poodles stayed in this pet-friendly home. It was warm, comfortable and cozy. The home lacked for nothing and we were able to make a real fire in the fireplace in the evenings and enjoy the hot tub after skiing. We explored the trails in the woods with the dogs. It was close to Silver Star Ski Resort and to the town of Vernon. The home had all of the technology we are used to, such as wifi and a big screen TV, for movie watching in the evenings. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped and we were able to prepare some memorable meals. The host was very responsive. This is a great place to stay." - January 2024

"We booked the Mountain retreat property for the month of February 2023. First impressions are that the property is well maintained and care and thought have been put into making sure that guests have all the amenities they need to have a wonderful stay. Having space to have our dogs with us was a big plus, whether they were out on the trails up the hill behind the house, or on the porch they were happy with having a place to roam. We have very responsive dogs that stick pretty close to the house. When we did occasionally leave the property without them we opted to put them in the oversized fenced area so they could be safe outside but also comfortable. Honestly the owners have put a LOT of thought into making things accessible for those traveling with pets. We did not give our dogs free rein in the house but rather chose to keep them contained- less mess for us to clean up! The log home is cozy and it is SO quiet, we rarely heard road noise, occasionally there was a dog barking in the distance but nothing that interrupted us. We loved the 2 person hot tub - it was the perfect size for our group and it was easy to run. Its location at the back of the house is perfect for a midnight soak and look at the stars! Having access to laundry facilities onsite was huge for us and if you were traveling with children that would be a huge bonus. There are three large bedrooms and floor space for more if need be. The kitchen has everything you would need. The furnace keeps everything warm. We were in the area to ski and hike and the location of the house is perfect for both. 12 minutes up the hill to Silver Star and 5-7 minutes down the hill to Vernon. We loved the location. We felt very safe here. There is ample parking available, a fire pit with lots of wood if you want to have an outside fire. We will be back!" - March 2023
