Welcome to Monroe House, a brand new, pet-friendly home just a 2-minute drive to Lake Michigan’s beaches!

Nestled in a peaceful wooded setting, this stylish, family-friendly retreat is perfect for a beach vacation, cozy weekend, or getaway with friends.

The home features 3 bedrooms, including a king suite with a daybed + trundle, a queen + bunks room, and a third queen; plenty of space for everyone. Designed by a professional interior designer, every detail has been thoughtfully curated for comfort and style.

Step outside to find three private decks, a hot tub under the stars, a fire pit for s’mores and stories, and a yard space set up for games. Whether you’re sipping morning coffee on the private upstairs deck or winding down after a day at the beach, Monroe House is made for making memories.

Forgot something? No worries! Dollar General is within walking distance for any last-minute essentials (like that toothbrush you swore you packed).

You’re just half a mile from Hagar Shore Beach and Roadside Park Beach, two gorgeous spots for swimming, sunset walks, or beach picnics. DiMaggio’s Pizza is nearby- grab a pizza and take it to the lake for a picnic with a view! Looking to explore more? You’re just 10 miles from St. Joseph and 12 miles from South Haven, two charming lakeside towns full of dining, ice cream, shopping, and attractions. Golf lovers will also appreciate several championship courses just a short drive away.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us! We had a truly relaxing and memorable stay here in Coloma. The house was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed—and more. We especially loved the upstairs deck, liked the peaceful backyard with amazing fire pit & the proximity to the beaches.This area is such a hidden gem—between the nearby beaches, wineries, and small-town charm, we had the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

Home is beautiful, just what was listed plus more. They have thought of everything! I brought my supplies from other experiences with Vrobs & didn’t need it. Very clean! Kitchen was loaded with all the amenities - great space to cook for the family. Very spacious- we had 9 people 92- 5 years old.Very relaxing with the fire pit & hot tub. No one around - felt like you were Up north! Host were very responsive & nice! Ty’ Totally recommend. Definitely would come back!

Catie was a great host-responsive, checking in on us as arriving and giving us information as needed. Check in was easy and efficient. Check out instructions were simple and clear. The house has so much- very well kept, so cute, it has a great layout and worked well for our multi generational family trip. Secluded but easily accessible off a main road. Loved spending time at the fire pit, and in the hot tub. Board games and game room are a nice touch also. Close to many nearby cities, we explored St Joseph, Saugatuck, and South Haven along with Coloma. Two nearby beaches are a short drive or a little longer drive will get you to larger beaches, restaurants and shops.

Tucked away gem

My daughter and I and her two children (2 & 8) enjoyed a three day stay in this beautiful home tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. Only a short drive to the beach, shopping, restaurants. Catie had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. We enjoyed the hot tub, game room, and fire pit. Very clean and modern home, easy check-in and out. We will come again!

The house is very well maintained. The location feels secluded, but is centrally located to South Haven and St. Joseph. It met all our expectations for a great vacation spot.

We use Vrbo for most family vacations and this is, by far, the cleanest, most well stocked home we have stayed in to date! Everything we needed: comfy beds and plenty of room for our group of 10! We started the week with my girlfriend and 3 adult daughters, then husbands joined us and 2 grands! All had a wonderful time at the “blue house”, the beach, dinners, shopping, antiquing, and just being together! Thank you!

Private, quiet, clean and comfortable!

Our family of 8 stayed 4 nights. On night 2 the AC went out, but thankfully our host was very responsive to get someone out to fix it the next day, and compensated us for the inconvenience! We especially enjoyed the hot tub, foosball table and the yard made for a couple epic games of croquet! The location is so great, close to two beautiful beaches-catching a sunset is must-do. 20 minutes to South Haven for great shopping and restaurants. All bedrooms are upstairs, and the room with the queen bed is pretty small, but overall this is an awesome place to stay with exceptional hosts-would highly recommend!

The property was everything that we were hoping for and more. The home was very beautiful, seemed almost new, with full amenities and the furnishings / decor were well thought out, very comfortable and ‘first class’ in every sense.The home was situated in a rural environment at the end of a country lane nestled in beautiful nature wooded setting complete with a lit fire pit area.The property is centrally located between Benton Harbor and South Haven just minutes away from Lake Michigan ‘pet friendly’ beaches.Our vacation stay was ‘5 Star’ in every way.

Great getaway

We had a wonderful time at the house. It worked out perfect for my family and the dogs. Beaches were a short drive away. Enjoyed the space immensely along with the fire pit. We will be back.

Great woodsy retreat near Lake Michigan

Couldn’t stay at a nicer, cleaner or more comfortable place. We cannot say enough good things about the accommodation or or the hosts. They even went out and got a swifter for my husband.

Perfect

We enjoyed Labor Day weekend at the Monroe house and it was perfect for our family trip!! The place was super clean, easily fit our 9 person party. The decks, hot tub and fire pit were highlights. The host was super responsive and thought of everything. Highly recommend this place.

Perfect Home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Monroe! We loved that it was away from everything but still close enough to not have to drive far. Our kids absolutely loved the firepit and the hot tub. The owners were incredible with communication. We had some issues with the door lock a few times and they came over to fix it ASAP. I would recommend maybe bringing some extra towels if you have a larger group or just be prepared to wash them daily (we didn't mind). This was our first time to Michigan, and we loved Jean Klock Park and Tiscornia Park and both were within minutes of this home. We also loved making the short drive to South Haven. We will definitely be making a trip back some day!

We had our kids and grand kids withus. This is a great property for activities in both St Joseph and South Haven. A short drive to both but far enough away from the traffic and crowds. The house was very clean and it fit our needs perfectly

EXCELLENT LOCATION!

We absolutely loved our stay at The Monroe House! Perfect location between St. Joe and South Haven. We were able to visit three different beaches in the 5 days we were there. We have 4 children (15, 4, 3, and 7 weeks) and there was plenty to keep them all happy and occupied. The house was VERY clean and accommodated our group of 5 adults and 4 kids wonderfully! House was fully stocked with everything we needed. The deck on the main level was the perfect extension of living space and we spent a lot of time there. We 100% enjoyed our time and would definitely stay again! Communication with the host was great and they were very eager to make sure everything was to our liking. Don't miss out on this house if you are headed to the St. Joseph/South Haven area!

Amazing stay

Great house near several lovely beaches. We had a 5yr old, a 1yr old and 2 in their 70’s and had no problem with accessing the nearby beaches. All within a short drive and parking wasn’t an issue even on the 4th of July weekend. We really enjoyed the porch and firepit for relaxing after the beach. The hosts were so kind and thoughtful and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Would not hesitate to come back!

Sweet Rest and Relaxation

The Monroe House was just what our family needed as an end of summer retreat. The home had plenty of space for our three kiddos to roam about while also feeling close and cozy for games and movie night in. It's no further than 15 mins to get anywhere you could need for accustomed amenities (groceries, gas, or chain restaurants), and is also minutes from beaches, parks and local restaurants. We enjoyed Silver Beach and walking around St Joe as well as hiking down to the lake closer to the air bnb at Hagar Park (there are a lot of stairs, but we found it completely manageable even with a 1yo, 4yo, & preteen). On the last evening we went to Jean Klock park and took family photos. It was absolutely stunning at sunset! Monroe House is clean, well stocked for utilizing the kitchen, and the backyard & hot tub were favorites! 10/10 recommend this stay for a slow and relaxed environment allowing you to enjoy a homey get away without being too far off the beaten path.

We’ve called Michigan home for over 20 years and love everything about it—especially spending time on the lake with friends, cheering on our favorite football team, traveling when we can, and most of all, hanging out with our daughters, Brittany and Madison. They’re all grown up now, so any time we get together is extra special!

We’re so excited to share our little summer spot with you and hope you love it as much as we do.

Summers here are so special with the lake and beautiful beaches. The wine tours and now the brewery tours are both a big hit around here. The quaint lake towns are so fun to walk around in to shop, eat or enjoy a day at the beach! South Haven and St. Joseph are a short drive from our rental home. For a day away you could take a trip to Chicago by train.

Our house is pretty secluded by the tall trees in the back yard. The wooded setting is lovely and feels very relaxing. We chose this place because of the privacy but also for its central location. There are lots of fun things to do and see!

There are multiple championship golf courses within 20 minutes of the Monroe house. Saint Joseph and South Haven's beaches have been ranked in the top 10 in the country. So take a walk to the pier, then grab an ice cream cone and sit on the beach to watch the sunset!
