Welcome to Starfish Cottage! Our cozy, one level cottage has all of the comforts you will need for your next visit to Whidbey Island. Enjoy the home's well stocked kitchen, open living space, and private yard with a firepit sunset views. We have 2 workstations & hi-speed Wi-Fi!

We are located in a quiet community just above Sunlight Beach on Useless Bay. It is just a short stroll (1/3 mile) to the community beach & picnic area and a mile or so to Bayview, heart of the Island's south end.

Location/Map Note: We are located on the west side of Bayview Road which is on the beach side. Some map programs incorrectly place the cottage on the other side of Bayview road. You do not have to walk across Bayview Road to get to the beach & community picnic area. Please just ask if you have any questions.

Excellent property, very clean, easy to communicate with the hosts. Check in was very easy, but the driveway is a little difficult to get in and out of if you have a larger car. Accurate information in the listing w/r/t what is in the kitchen, and everything in the kitchen is either brand new or very well taken care of.

I highly recommend this rental home. The furnishings and linens are nice quality and very clean. The home has a nice floor plan and everything you need to cook. The view of Useless Bay was a nice bonus. We will definitely return next time we visit the island.

Great Place, super convenient location

A wonderful home base for the Langley Murder Mystery weekend, just a mere 10 minute drive away from Langley. Quiet beautiful neighborhood with a short walk down to the beach. House was well supplied with everything we needed - would definitely stay again.

Great stay

Liked it. Enjoyable stay. VRBO account kept glitching and wouldn’t let me communicate with the owners, but that wasn’t much of an issue since the house was great. Would stay again!

Family Trip

The property was exactly as described. It was very relaxing and comfortable. Close to a grocery store and fun restaurants. Close to a busy road, but quiet. Patti was very quick at responding to any questions that we had. We would love to stay again!

Lovely cottage!

Well-appointed, recently renovated, nice touches like locally made hand soap and cream in bathrooms, beautiful new towels and bedding, kitchen items nicer than at home! Enjoyed watching the bunnies and the peekaboo ocean view - beautiful sunset!

Our news years vacation

So me an my girlfriend of going on 5 years decideed to try a vacation home for our first time. while we visited some friends an famliy for the holidays. The owner Patti was very nice an great to work with an understanding. we had a friend over who drank a bit much an didn't wanna drive home to be safe. Patti said it was fine as well as she didt mind that we had our niece an nephew over during the day. She was very easy to work with an honest an the cottage was very easy to find. It was easy to get to an located in a good spot that worked well for going to see our friends that was a 10 min drive vs when we normally stay we stay in a hotel. Witch normally the closest we get is Coupeville but that's about 45 mins away. So we got tired of that an tried this out for our first vacation home. It was amazing it's very cute all the stuff in the kitchen worked very well. they provided lots of pots an pans an silverware an so on cups wine glasses etc etc an the beds were pretty comfy too. All around best place we've stayed and I highly recommend it.
