Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

It's a very stripped down property. Nothing fancy or decorative, which was our selling point with bringing children. Too often there's glass and breakables everywhere. Definitely stayed in better homes. Would be more kid friendly with outlet covers, a different stove without gas knobs right at the front ready to be turned on by a child, a fixed storm door that doesn't slam shut violently, and locks for chemical/cleaner cabinets. Vacasa did right by us when our key code wouldn't work and they got us into our property quickly. The property was relatively clean minus some issues like outside cigarette butts and some questionable deep cleaning issues in the bathroom. Proximity to a pool was a big plus. Towel and sheet service was a great perk.

The community is great, the house itself was ok

I really loved how close the house is to the pool (in the back yard!), and Frontier Town (5 minutes in the car), and Assateague Parks (15 minutes in the car). The house was clean. And the wifi and the AC worked.

Nice Location, but Very Poorly Equipped

The location was great. The community was really nice, and there was lots for my family to do. We fished off the pier, fished off the pond, attended bingo, went to the pool, beach, rode paddle boats off the pond, and rode our bikes around the neighborhood. It was a quiet, gated community. The only issues we had were with the property itself. Our first night we couldn’t get in, and we had to call customer service and they helped us. There was none of the basic amenities you’d expect at a beach house. I know I should’ve read the description better, but no grill, no outdoor furniture, no measuring cups, very little pots and pans, or cooking utensils. We didn’t realize that nobody unloaded the dishwasher until day 2, so we found some more utensils after that. The microwave handle was broken (my husband was able to fix it with some super glue). The front door didn’t close right, and my kids couldn’t open it. The tension was too tight or something, because I could barely keep it open. The beds are hard as rocks. We also had an ant infestation. We borrowed bug repellent from a friendly neighbor. Also, the fan was super dirty and filled with dust. I was afraid to even turn it on.

Not recommended

I would never rent this place again. The house needs a lot of updating. When we got there, the one kitchen cupboard door was hanging on by a thread. The next day I opened the door to get out a dishwasher tab and the whole door just fell off. That same morning, I opened the microwave to reheat something and the handle to the microwave almost came off and is broken. I let the company know that these things were broken prior to us coming. There was still sand around different spots. The kitchen was not a fully stocked kitchen to prepare meals. There were some pots. But not enough utensils and only steak knives for cutting. There's a lot of room for improvement for this place. I was very disappointed.

Cute place

We really liked that the place was clean. Looks like new flooring recently. The bed we slept in was pretty comfortable. AC worked good but it’s a little loud. Although we didn’t cook the kitchen was well equipped. Outside furniture and grill would be a plus. Pretty quiet neighborhood. We would definitely stay again!

Many nice things included

We loved having the availability to a pool. There was also an arcade near the pool that our kids enjoyed. The home has central air so the temperature was always comfortable
