Unique property with over 7 a/c of seclusion to relax with friends and family watching the sunset. Home comes fully furnished with (kitchen wares & linens for 22 guest in lodges), charcoal BBQ pit, fire pit, RV sites and covered pavilion. Also included is a mini log cabin. Enjoy volleyball, horseshoes or just relax.

Vacation Home: Sleeps 14 - 4 Bedrooms (3 full beds, 2 queens), 2 1/2 Full Restrooms with Shower, Living Room with 2 Sofa Sleepers (queen beds) & Loveseat, Color T.V. & DVD Player, Full Kitchen with Stove, Refrigerator, Microwave, and Sink, Coffee Maker, Dining Area with Table & Chairs, Washer & Dryer, Heat & Air Conditioning. Includes dishes, cookware, linens, soap/shampoo to accommodate 22 guests (lodging), not supplied for RV/tent campers.

Mini Log Cabin: Sleeps 8 - 2 Open Lofts, 1 Full Bed in each, 2 Bunk Beds, Electrical Outlets, A/C, NO RESTROOM

2 RV Sites: Water, Electric, Sewer, 20/30/50 amp Hook Up Capabilities (dishes, cookware, linens, soap/shampoo not provided for RV/tent campers)

30×30 Pavilion: 2 Restrooms, 2 Showers, large sink/counter area, fire pit, pedestal charcoal BBQ, picnic tables

Note this only sleeps 14 in the home, 8 in the Mini-Log cabin and the additional guests up to 30 will be in your RV’s and tents. Make sure to add the RV and tent guests in the number of guests staying.

Will need to have Host send payment request to add additional pets (maximum 3), Their platform only is set to charge per stay and the pet fee is per pet.

This home is within minutes of several floating outfitters and public river access (Meramec, Huzzah, Courtois Rivers). Also there is Onondaga Cave, Aerial Park and Horse Trail rides for more options giving plenty of fun things to do on your trip. These are located within 20 minutes of this home.

Also there are Antique Malls, Murals of Cuba, Mo. and Red Rocker for other day trip outings.

The property was just perfect! There was plenty of space for activities. The only down thing was no wi-fi but we managed.

Charming

My extended family and I stayed at this location and hit the Onondaga caves and floats- the property is nice for a large party. Firewood was pre cut, property was overall well maintained, and tree lines shield from main road nicely.

Float trip 2024

My family and I do a float trip every year. These accommodations were perfect for the 10 of us. Easy access to local stores easy access to the river.

BEWARE OF NEIGHBORS-VIOLENT DOGSWe spent two nights at this property. The house is beautiful, clean, well maintained, and a great place for larger groups. Check-in was easy, and everything went smoothly until the second night.While letting our dogs out, we encountered the neighbor’s dog loose on the Vrbo property. It attacked my dog, then bit my friend when she tried to separate them. An ambulance responded to evaluate her injuries, and a police report was filed. Deputies were unable to contact the dog’s owner or verify its rabies vaccination, so my friend now has to undergo rabies post-exposure treatment as a precaution.The host arrived afterward and told us he was aware of ongoing issues with the neighboring property and that law enforcement was familiar with them. The next morning, the same dog was again roaming the Vrbo property near the cabin. We stayed inside because we were afraid another attack could happen. I messaged the host to let him know, but never received a response. Customer service was not helpful either. While the property itself is excellent, this experience was extremely traumatic. If you’re traveling with children or pets, I would seriously consider whether this is the right place to stay until this safety issue has been addressed.

The Host was notified of the dog bite incident at the retreat property and did go and talk with the guest. At that time, he also asked if there was anything he needed to do and was told no. As the guest said, awareness of ongoing issues at the neighboring property were mentioned, but none related to the Host property, Host guests, and there have not been any previous dog issues on the Host retreat property. The guest did not call the Host about the dog returning the next morning but instead, sent an email, which was not seen until much later. From the onset of this situation, the Crawford County Sheriff’s office was alerted. Customer Service also forwarded appropriate contact information to the Crawford County Health Department and they communicated with the guest that was bitten. On 8/5/26 Customer Service did respond to the guest after working with the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department and the Crawford County Health Department to see what their actions and guidance would be. Customer Service also reached out to the guest that was bitten to keep everyone informed as to what was happening. Customer Service has continued to keep contact with the guest that was bitten, updating her with all information received upon getting updates. The Crawford County Sheriff’s Department has notified the neighbor of consequences should the dog return to the retreat property, according to the law and the sheriff’s department handling of the situation. The Host and team strive to keep all rental properties an enjoyable and safe experience for all guests and pets. Therefore, they will continue to work with law enforcement who will monitor and take any necessary actions going forward. Host and Management Team

Great place for an adventurous weekend

We all had a great time at Sunset Ridge. We were within a 25 min drive of many great activities. We explored caves, did zip lining, river rafting, and ate great food at Route 66 restaurants. Sunset Ridge was centrally located to all those activities and provided a beautiful and relaxing spot to wind down for the day. Sunsets were beautiful, and the property was quiet and peaceful. Great location!!

Overall

We left a house warming gift of salt and pepper! lol But we had gone to the store for breakfast the next morning and there is a lack of skillets, cookie sheet, and just foil or wrap! When renting a home like this it’s nice just have more of the basics. But we made it work! The property and home had plenty of room for all of us. Oh tv we couldn’t get to work and shower door in main bathroom needs replaced. Not complaining just letting you know. Thank you so much for having us.
