You won't believe this cozy, farmhouse/modern bungalow that is only one block from downtown! Newly remodeled, 2-bedroom on a shady corner lot. A short walk to your choice of several outstanding restaurants, a world famous coffee shop, beautiful boutiques, a great thrift store, an old-fashioned soda shop, a bookstore, a pastry shop and many other attractions. Canyon's town square hosts many activities including a farmer's market, movie night, parades, etc. All complete with many, yummy food trucks. Canyon is also the home of Palo Duro Canyon State park, the "Texas " outdoor musical , and West Texas A and M University.. A 20 minute drive gets you to Westgate Mall and surrounding shopping and dining. Visit Cadillac Ranch, The Big Texan Steak House,and Wonderland Amusement Park,and a zoo. Your hosts are life-long residents of Canyon.

Entire house was very clean. Kitchen was fully equipped with supplies and amenities. Living room very nice with plenty of seating. Beds are comfortable. Laundry has everything needed. Very nice and quiet neighborhood.Great location to visit Palo Duro State Park, Caprock State Park and Amarillo.

Location said it slept 6. Has two bedrooms. One person could sleep on couch and one person on a foam pad. Not a six person sleep accommodation. Location and rental property were very nice. I would recommend this location to friends. Sleeping accommodation needs to be corrected in description. I definitely would use this place again.

I was so fortunate to meet this beautiful lady that owns this vrbo. Not only is the vrbo immaculate and the cutest one I've ever stayed in and I've been using vrbo for over 15 years, but she was delightful and I wish her all the success in the world if you're so fortunate to have her place open go stay in it. She's amazing and so is her property.

Visit to Palo Duro Canyon!

The house was fully furnished with anything you would need. Also the beds were very comfortable!!!! I will definitely book again.

This bungalow is absolutely adorable! It was perfect for our family as we were driving through. We only stayed for one night, but really appreciated the comfortable beds, as well as the comfy chairs and couch in the living room! Another bonus was having nice big TV’s in the bedrooms. The house was literally less than a mile from a nice little downtown area. Reminded us of the movie Back to the Future, because of the big clock tower. We had a very nice meal at Mickey’s Place, so we didn’t use the kitchen much. I did notice there were lots of extras in case you do need the kitchen! If you travel in the summer, bring bug spray because here in Texas the mosquitoes are out! Thank you Glenda for a great stay in your lovely home!

Sweet house. Lots of extras. Error in VRBO listing, which she said she would correct, but didn't help us with extra bed, but there was a couch and sleeping mat.Had issues with lil ants that got into in our banana nut bread.

Great location! Stayed for orientation at WT.

This house is located so close to the square. If you’re bored you can just head on over and there are some great shops, restaurants and a coffee shop as well. The house is just as the pictures show and very clean. We also walked to campus which was a little farther but very doable. I would love to stay here again when visiting Canyon.

Great home base for exploring Palo Duro Canyon!

Glenda's Downtown Bungalow was a spacious, spotless, and tastefully-furnished home base for exploring Palo Duro Canyon. Well-equipped kitchen and laundry, master bedroom had a comfortable king-size bed, and the blackout shades worked beautifully keeping out the bright morning light. Jack-and-Jill bathroom had a nice shower flow with quick hot water and soft, luxurious towels. Thoughtful touches like a packet of microwave popcorn, makeup removal pads, a container supplied with lint roller, toothbrushes, toothpaste, flossers, Q-tips, & sewing kit. Possible necessities like an umbrella and flashlight. Even a French Press and an electric kettle! The only suggestion I would have is to replace the scratched nonstick pots and pans. But the place was just wonderful and in a quiet neighborhood. We appreciated the lovely, well-kept yard with shade trees and raised flower beds. A very comfortable and relaxing space. Wish we could have stayed longer!

1st time to canyon

Great location! Walkable to the cutest downtown square and a short drive to Palo Duro Canyon. The property is well represented in the photos, comfortable and pet friendly.

Hi, I am Glenda. My husband Wayne and I have lived in the great town of Canyon for 58 years. We are entrepreneurs of sorts having owned rental property, laundromats, a women's boutique, and a water business. We have even tried our hand at raising ostrich.
I am pretty handy with tools and love remodeling and decorating. I keep the books on all our ongoing businesses and really love that also.
I landscaped our home and all our properties and really enjoy the physical work associated with that.
I am excited about this vacation rental business because I get to do all the things that I love doing while making extra money.

This bungalow is part of the original town of Canyon. It sits on a beautiful corner lot one block from downtown. The neighborhood is quiet -family homes and duplexes. Trees surround this property making it a shade oasis in the summer.
Because it is so near to downtown, you can walk to all the restaurants and shopping surrounding the historic courthouse.
We have paid attention to every detail in decor and amenities including luxury beds. fluffy white towels, a 60 inch smart tv and very comfortable seating.
If you book here, you will be a repeat client for sure.
