Come escape the busy in this newly remodeled cozy cottage right on the lake!
Curl up on the couch and watch the ducks swim by right in front of your house! Or tie up your bass boat to your own dock in our little cove with a beautiful view of the lake after spending the day fishing on High Rock lake. House is just around the corner from NC Wildlife public boat ramp.
This 2 bedroom house has been completely redone with new flooring, furnishings, and fixtures and is perfect for your family vacation. You will have the house and property to yourself. Kayaks and life vests provided and the cove is perfect for swimming.
A new 22’ pontoon boat is available for rental!

Cute little place

It was great! Pretty quiet. Right off the lake. Cozy and big enough for our 5. Had what we needed and if not, places to shop were near. Kayaks were a great plus for the kids. We caught some fish and enjoyed games in the evening. Would definitely return.

Loved our stay!

Loved our weekend stay! Such a lovely place with plenty of space & everything we needed. Morning coffee on the porch with the views of the lake. Will definitely be back.

Perfect little getaway

We loved our stay in the house. Everything was very cozy. The view was beautiful and peaceful. The take traffic was pretty low so my son and I kayaked to the Hwy 8 bridge and back. The living room is set up perfectly for a game night (which we did while watching the Canes give up on life during the Eastern Conference Final). We would definitely come back!

Great little place!

We absolutely loved it here! Our inly complaint is the bed is horrible and the pillows are flat, so plan accordingly.

Perfect Lakefront Home

Highly recommend this immaculate, well-stocked, and beautifully decorated lakefront home! It was the perfect setting for an annual gathering of six “old” girlfriends! Be sure to check out the brunch at nearby Childress Vineyards—it was delicious and so much fun!

Weekend trip

We couldn’t be more grateful and happier for the opportunity of staying at this amazing lake house. Plenty of room and right on the lake with the closeness of the Mariana. I would totally recommend this place to anyone looking for amazing getaway with the perfect sunrise and sunset view ever! And also they offer Kayaks and it was super easy with the kayak boat launch!!

Excellent location and beautiful house

This house was great!! The location especially to the water was wonderful. The kayaks were right by the water making it so easy to put in and take out of the water. The house is so clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay.

Quick Break from Regular Life

My husband, daughters and I had a wonderful time! The cottage was cozy. Great kitchen, nice bathrooms, and plenty of space! The hosts were amazing to communicate with and we really enjoyed the boat rental! Love Love Love!

Perfect for a getaway

We had a great time and enjoyed our stay. We were in town for a wedding and this home was super convenient to the venue. The home was also nicely decorated and very cozy in a very quiet neighborhood. The really nice location of this home made you feel distanced from the hustle and bustle of a city, but on the other hand it was only a short drive to visit a nice restaurant or bar in town! This would be a perfect place for a weekend getaway!

We had a great 4th . Enjoyed the beautiful home especially the kitchen area ! The kids enjoyed the swimming and Kayaking . Nice location for fishing ..would definitely stay here again and we highly recommend this property to our Family and Friends very reasonably priced as well...The owners are very welcoming and pleasant.

BEST Father’s Day Vacay!!

We had the BEST time staying here this weekend! The location couldn’t have been better, the house was SO cute & super clean — and it was fully stocked with allll that we could need & even some fun, surprise “wants” 🙂 We are already excited about our next trip to stay here. The hosts were great to work with & again, I just can’t say enough good things about the house itself. + the kayaks!! Ah, so much fun. 11/10 recommend staying here. You will absolutely not regret it.

A very good place for the whole family!

A very beautiful view of the lake, it's clean inside the house and around it. Interesting for children. We went fishing and kayaking. You can also go boating on a pontoon if you rent one. Played ball and other active games. Witnessed beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Watched birds that looked like herons. A very good vacation for the whole family!

Amazing Property!

Our family was there for a fishing tournament and it was just what we needed! The property is in a great location (right on the lake) and close to the boat ramp. The house was beautifully decorated, in excellent condition, and super clean. The house was very well stocked and even left some surprises (snacks and coffee)! We enjoyed the dock on the lake and sitting in the rocking chairs on the back porch looking at the lake. The owners were excellent to communicate with. We will definitely be back here and rent again!

Amazing

It was great. The hosts were very helpful. The family loved it. If you are looking to reconnect as a family highly suggest this place. Comfy, cosy, relaxing and great views. Very very clean and plenty of space. Dip your feet in the lake or sit in the rocking chairs and read a book. We even had space to do a impromptu Easter egg hunt for the kids. Would do it all over again.

Charming!

We decided to celebrate Mother's Day with our first VRBO experience. Once we arrived my wife kept exclaiming how charming the house was and bright and clean. The owners were so responsive and exceedingly accommodating! We had our entire Family and once guest for a total of 6 and we rented the boat as well. One flew in from CA, one from AZ and one came in from Boone, NC, and one from CO. It was worth it for all! This vacation was a total success all around and the house we chose just made it that much better! Thank You! We will see you again!

Good Food Fishing and Fun

This is a very nicely remodeled lake house. Everything you need for your stay was provided, including covered parking for your car. We ate lunch one day at Mazatlan, a Mexican restaurant 3 minutes from the house that had been recommended by the hosts and was very good. There is excellent access to NC Highway 8 which provides many eating options as well as gas stations and a grocery store. We enjoy Downtown Lexington and always visit some of our favorite shops while at the lake. Downtown also offers several places to eat, have coffee, or even pick up a sweet treat from two different local bakeries or the famous Candy Store. We fished from the dock and enjoyed morning coffee and sunsets from the rocking chairs on the back porch. Bird watching, as well as enjoying the many geese, ducks and turtles that frequent the cove was very pleasant also. We thank our hosts as we greatly appreciated the quiet evenings and relaxing days we spent here.

Terrific lake house!

My family and I (2 kids) stayed at the Heath’s home for an extended stay due to not being able to be in our primary residence for a total of 10 days. The Heath’s were wonderful, kind, and communicative. Their home was recently remodeled, clean and tastefully decorated. It was bright, cheerful and well appointed with linens, kitchen supplies and paper products. The windows across the front had a fantastic view of the lake, and it was quiet and located in a quaint area. We had never been to High Rock Lake and my husband and sons enjoyed fishing from their private dock and we even used their tandem kayak. There is also great living spaces with roomy sofas and more great views. I’d definitely recommend their home to anyone interested in staying in the area.

Lake House vacation

We went to the the beach last year and did not have a good time at all due to the resort we stayed at was a lot of walking and waiting on elevators with no air and cross road tunnel to parking garage and I am disabled so it was a rough week. We decided on finding a place at High Rock and I booked the week at the lake house and once we walked in the house was beautifully inside and pleased with everything and since we did this vacation close to home I got to enjoy my kids and grand kids come out for part of the week and they all had a blast and wanted to stay longer. They took the canoes out each day and swam at the dock and we all fished.. The only thing bad was the weather rained but we could sit out under the big covered porch watch the ducks that visit us everyday. We would definitely rent again!
