Welcome to your ultimate retreat! This cozy oceanview unit is one half of a newly remodeled duplex located on Shelter Cove Golf Course, right by the airport runway with sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean. Watch planes take off, enjoy stunning sunsets from the front porch, and take a short walk to the beach. Perfect for couples, families, or friends looking to relax, explore, and soak up the coastal charm of Shelter Cove.

This private 2-story, 1100 sq ft unit features its own entrance and a deck overlooking the golf course, runway, and ocean. The main level includes an open living space with a sitting/TV area, dining area, half bath, and a fully equipped kitchen with new appliances. Upstairs has two bedrooms (one king, one with a queen and twin beds) and a full bath with shower – ideal for families, friends, or two couples (sleeps 4–5). Each bedroom has a Roku TV for your favorite shows. In the garage, you’ll find a washer and dryer, a set of golf clubs, and 4 bikes to explore the charming coastal town. The golf course is just steps away if you’re ready to play! Extra freezer is available in the garage to stock up on your daily catch of fish. Whether you're here to unwind or adventure, this comfortable coastal duplex has everything you need for a memorable stay.

Shelter Cove is one of the most peaceful, secluded spots on the Northern California coast. It may take some effort to get here, but it’s absolutely worth it. Please note: there’s no public transit or ride-share service in town, but everything is within easy walking or biking distance. Nearby amenities include: Gyppo Brewery and Restaurant is right down the street (4 min walk), Shelter Cove RV Campground store and Deli (0.25 mile), Shelter Cove General Store (2.3 mile), Delgada Pizza and Bakery (4 min drive, 18-minute walk), Venezuelan Restaurant (4 min drive, 17 min walk). Scenic nearby destinations include Cape Mendocino Lighthouse (5-minute walk), Black Sands beach (5 min drive, 20-minute walk).

Feel like driving a little further and seeing more of Humboldt County? Avenue of the Giants is a historic drive along the world-famous Redwood trees, some of which over 1000 years old. You can also drive through a Redwood Tree at the Myers Flat drive-thru tree. Visit the historic Benbow Inn for a fancy dinner just about one hour from Shelter Cove.

Shelter Cove is one of the Most Under Used Fishing Spots in California with Some of the Best Variety of Fishing: Albacore, Halibut, Salmon, Rock cod, Lingcod, Crab and more!!! There are charter fishing boats with unique experience offered in Shelter Cove as well as boat ramp and fish cleaning station.

Shelter Cove is a gem of an ocean community. The Townhouse is very practical and the view from the front deck and Master Bedroom window of the Pacific Ocean is beautiful. It was also fun to watch the small planes on the airstrip. The Master Bed was very comfortable. We will definitely look to book the rental in the future.

My husband, pup and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cozy Oceanview Hideaway #1! The house was beautiful, well appointed and in a great location. The house was very dog friendly with doggie dishes, towels and a blanket. We enjoyed watching the sunset from the front deck every evening. Kira was a terrific host and provided clear and timely communication. We definitely want to return!

Shelter Cove was fantastic! Lovely home, clean, comfy beds and great location in town. Has everything you need. Host communicated well and was accessible if needed. Beautiful views of the ocean and the star gazing was awesome. Great community and food, try Mi Mochima-Venezuelan food, great breakfast spots and Gyppo’s brewery.

Lovely stay in Shelter Cove

It was thoughtfully equipped with everything you need from kitchen supplies to forgotten toiletries as well as cruiser bikes and board games. Kira decorated it so nicely and it was immaculate. I brought my two small dogs and she even had dog bowls/towels. There is a vacuum in the upstairs closet to tidy up after your pups, which was nice. The views of the golf course, airfield, and ocean are delightful. Check out the little farmer’s market on Tuesdays! I would love to return to this retreat on the Lost Coast. Thanks, Kira!

Shelter Cove Perfect Getaway

The place was easy to find. The entry system was very easy to use. The house had EVERYTHING we needed. It was decorated so cute. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of coffee and creamers. And she had kleenex placed all around. Being close to the gold course and landingstrp was NOT a problem, we didn't hear any noise. I would stay here again for sure!

Wonderful place to stay

The place was immaculate and Kira the owner/manager was very good about emailing check-in and check-out instructions as well as asking if everything was going ok. I couldn't be happier with the whole experience.

Oceanview Retreat

This is a spacious two story townhouse, one of two units in the building. There were just two of us, but it would easily accomodate a family of five or two couples, and it includes a garage. The view from the back deck and house windows is amazing, and we saw many deer grazing on the grass below. The unit is very well furnished and equipped. It feels more like a home than many of these vacation rentals do nowadays .Kira, the manager, was very accessible and kept us well informed.

Great Location and Nice View!

We stayed here for three nights after backpacking the Lost Coast Trail, and it was the perfect vacation home for us to relax after our backpacking trek. It is within walking distance of a few restaurants and cafes, the light house, and the airport, and it had all the amenities that we needed. We would stay here again!

Peaceful and Beautiful

Really loved this peaceful place! The two chairs on the front porch were such a nice way to look at and hear the waves on the ocean. Check in was super easy, the place was clean and comfy! I would definitely stay here again!

Perfect family getaway

Perfect home in a beautiful little town. We were traveling with our two young adult sons and small dog. The house was perfect for our family. Kira is a terrific and responsive host. The home is clean, comfortable, very attractive, and fully equipped with everything you would need. We would love to visit again.
