Five bedrooms, a game room, a lush backyard, and mountain views — near trails and downtown Durango. The right home base for families and groups who want space, outdoor access, and a genuine Colorado summer. Hiking, rafting, and the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad all nearby. Modern kitchen, comfortable gathering spaces, and room for everyone to spread out.

Five bedrooms, a game room, a lush backyard, and mountain views near trails and downtown Durango. A home base built for families and groups who want space, outdoor access, and a genuine Colorado summer.

The game room has air hockey and foosball — the right setup for evenings when the group stays in. The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and dining space for the full group. The living areas feature a fireplace and comfortable gathering space. The backyard is a private oasis for BBQs, morning coffee, or stargazing around the fire pit.

Guests have full access to the entire home — all 5 bedrooms, living areas, game room, gourmet kitchen, backyard, and outdoor spaces. The home is yours for the duration of your stay. Ample on-site parking is included.

Access details are provided through your guest portal prior to arrival.

This property is professionally managed by Gilson Property Group — not an individual host. Every stay is prepared to the same standard: thorough cleaning, quality linens, and responsive support from booking through checkout.

We give guests their space. If anything comes up — a question about the property, a local recommendation, or a concierge request — we are reachable through the VRBO messenger and respond promptly.

Everything from private airport transfers and grocery delivery to private chefs, in-home spa services, and guided excursions is available through your Gilson guest portal before and during your stay. Browse and book on your own schedule — no phone tag required.

Before your stay, we will ask you to complete a quick identity verification through our guest portal. It takes just a few minutes and is how we ensure every Gilson stay is seamless and secure. A valid driver's license and rental agreement are all that is needed to confirm your check-in details.

A $250 security deposit is collected prior to arrival — similar to a hotel holding a credit card on file — and released in full after checkout once all access items are returned. Guests may also choose a non-refundable Damage Waiver instead, selected during the pre-arrival verification process.

Our guest portal also includes our full concierge menu: private chef, grocery and alcohol delivery, airport transportation, welcome kits, in-home spa services, early check-in and late checkout, guided excursions, and local recommendations — all available to browse and book at your convenience, before or during your stay.

Great place for Family

The space is great to relax with family and friends. Teens enjoyed the games and parents could be upstairs hanging out separately. Host was very nice and responsive. Nice clean house with nice beds.

Great Home away from Home

Wonderful property in beautiful Durango CO

Host was extremely communicative, easy to contact, and quick to respond. Instructions included within the home were easy to locate and understand. The home was beautiful and had more than enough space for our group of 7 adults and 2 children. The cupboards were labeled making locating cooking supplies, dishes, and utensils easy to locate. The location was close enough to the town of Durango while also being in a beautiful, more remote location away from the hustle and bustle of the main town. I would recommend both this location and host to anyone.

Awesome Large Home in Peaceful Neighborhood

Wonderful large home with huge game room in basement. My 15 yo loved this house! It is in a wonderful quiet neighborhood. Close to old town Durango. The living room TV is giant wand very high quality which is nice.

Magical Stay in Durango!

Overall, absolutely wonderful place and great host! The property was perfect and the house had everything to help make our stay great. The host responded quickly and helped clarify any questions my group and I had. Wonderful location!

Our stay went well, good location for train. Kitchen well equipped.Games need attention. Safety concerns: No hand rail for front steps, first step too high, large cracks in sidewalk, no egress window for one of the basement "bedrooms"Outside aesthetics needs help. Mowing the grass/weeds would help.

Durango getaway

The house, though old, was very clean and roomy enough for our family of 6. The downstairs provided a nice play area for the kids. The kitchen area met all of our needs. We needed to contact the owner and she was easy to reach. I would recommend this property. Durango is a great vacation spot!

Comfy Stay!

What a cute, fun, and spacious home. Met the neighborhood cat we named “Post”! Beds were super comfy! Hostess was kind enough to have to place for early check in and was communicative throughout the entire visit (beforehand) as we requested early check in a few days prior to check in. Safest neighborhood ever! A 7 mile drive to the heart of historic downtown where shops are cute as heck and the community is super friendly. Will stay again.

House near Durango

The property was just as presented - good for larger families. The house is very tech savvy with a many tv’s and hi speed WIFI. I was surprised that West Durango has zero retail, not a gas station or convenience store, so everything required a trip into Durango proper.

Durango summer

The house was located about 10 minutes outside of Durango. It was an easy drive to get to the downtown area. The house itself is located in an older neighborhood but nice and spacious. There was plenty of room for eight of us. It did not have air conditioning but many homes in Colorado don’t. It did appear as if it might be having something installed soon though. Overall we had a great stay!

A bit underwhelming

First impressions weren't great, the house didn't have a/c and was very warm but after opening some windows cooled down, it also had a strong chemical cleaner smell and the basement a bit of a pet odor, most of the cleaner and pet smell dissipated after airing the house out. Communication with the property manager was good and the overall of the stay was good. On a positive note the beds were very comfortable.

Extended family snowboarding getaway

The vacation property was well suited for our family of ten (7 adults, 7 yo and 2 under 3). The main level had two bedrooms, a kitchen, dining and living area. Downstairs there were three bedrooms, a refrigerator/bar area and a large game/play area. The play area was great for the small children. The kitchen had all the necessary appliances. On the patio was a grill. Overall this was a good value for the price. A couple recommendations would be to make sure there was enough paper towels and toilet paper for the guests. There was a problem with one of the lower level bedrooms properly regulating temperature at night. The refrigerator ice maker was not working and no grill brush was provided for the grill which was not clean when I used it. All this being said, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again at this property.

Needs cleaning and maintenance, no mountain view.

We do vacation rentals often, and expect it to be well maintained and clean. House number not visible at night. Bear proof trash bin latch is broken. Need to replace handrail for the front steps we had some older folks in the group that had trouble, barking dog next door, No closet in Master BR?, shower curtains were grossly mildewed, knobs missing in the kitchen, patio door handle broken, very few hangers ( host sent more), Downstairs bathroom plumbing needs overhaul only cold water in left sink, bathtub shower freezing or scalding, floors in downstairs BR and kitchen need mopping, bathtub is moldy and dirty. lightbulbs out in several rooms, gray fabric chairs in kitchen are very dirty..

We were four seniors, stayed 4 nights, lots of room, beds were very comfy, downstairs was great, game room was awesome.House is close to downtown Durango, like 6 minutes.Sidewalk up to house needs repair, couple serious cracks.Front porch was nice with chairs and table. Back deck was crowded with furniture and grill, but we cooked two dinners on grill, and only half worked, could not get one set of burners to light, but we made do.If you are tv people, giant living room tv, nice size tv in master, and tv and fireplace on wall in basement, no other TVs in any bedrooms, bring your iPads!Cleaners put towels in each room, but towels were still wet, probably in a hurry. Great washer and dryer in basement dried them! Not enough wash cloths!Kitchen has everything you need and more, but no Teflon spatulas for the Teflon pans. Beautiful gas range with griddle in the middle.Front door area had no curtains on door or side windows.Furniture and area rug in living room needs updating.Great WiFi, we had to work and it was fantastic, not work, but WiFi.This is a long established subdivision, with fenced in yards, and lots of houses, but not noisy at all.Master closet is not available due to owners locked area, I say this because there is only one closet upstairs in second bedroom, it’s big but..Master has shower and one sink. Downstairs bath is a true master with two sinks, tub and shower, very nice.I could go on and on.We would stay again!
