Fall in love with this renovated Lake Junaluska retreat. Showcasing spectacular mountain views and situated just a short walk from the conference center and lakeside facilities, this cozy cabin comes primed for a getaway with friends or family. A wraparound deck offers a scenic perch for alfresco dining. Enjoy a leisurely stroll around the lake, with over three miles of paved trails to explore, or spend the day taking advantage of the rec center Lake Junaluska pool and other amenities. Maggie Valley and downtown Waynesville are just a few minutes away. Asheville and Gatlinburg both make an easy day trip option, and Cataloochee Ski Resort offers world-class wintertime fun just a short drive from home.

After the day's adventures, gather in the living room for a board game or two. Here, you can also have a family movie on the smart TV, while using Sling TV for local channels. The stainless steel kitchen comes well-equipped to handle any home cooking needs, with a dishwasher included for stress-free cleanup. Central air-conditioning, free WiFi, and a private washer/dryer round out the home essentials.

Great place! Loved how clean it was and the master bed was comfortable. A couple of observations: change out the master bathroom fan as it is loud and doesn’t work well; box fan in master bedroom- knob is stripped and can’t change speed; and the hot water kettle in the kitchen wouldn’t work. Thanks!

Comfy stay

Our family enjoyed staying at this lovely house at Lake Junaluska. It was clean and had ample space for what we needed as a home base. We loved spending time in the beautiful town of Waynesville and mountains nearby.

The home was supplied with all we needed with great parking. The location was perfect for Waynesville, Maggie Valley, Blue Ridge Parkway and surrounding areas. Easy access to Cherokee and the Smokies.

The home was very clean and check in was easy, however, the wifi did not work for us the entire time we stayed and the management company and owner did not rectify it. We communicated through messages and telephone calls, but no wifi.

Great place to relax

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was nice and clean. Lake Junaluska was beautiful! Waynesville and Maggie Valley had lots of shopping and restaurants. SOCO falls was cool and the views on the blue ridge parkway were amazing.

Great Hideaway in the Mountains

Stayed here for a week over Thanksgiving and this was a great place that is close enough to things but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet. Master bedroom is on the first floor which makes things very easy. Will definitely consider this place next time.

The house and location were great. However, the main door keypad stopped working on day 2 and was pretty annoying and inconvenient…that needs to be fixed/addressed.

Had a great stay

Property was a close drive to walking path near Lake Junaluska. Was also close to several grocery stores. House was clean and well stocked. There is a gas grill that was ready to use. They had Corelle dishes, great because we have kids. Bed was comfortable. There was a guide book nearby with great info about the surrounding area. Will try to stay here again in the future.

Check in was at 4, we arrived at4, home was still being cleaned. We were unable to actually get in until after 5:30 pm. Fairly cleaned. Overall a great property.

Peaceful Retreat

This home was perfect for our family to relax, play number pool, and cook for everyone. The kitchen was equipped with plenty of dishes and utensils. I had never stayed in a pet friendly home before, and was a little worried. Twyla’s place had no evidence of pets ever being there! It was super clean! We also had access to the pool and putt putt course at the lake! What a fun trip!

Twyla's Mountain Retreat

Property was clean and well stocked. Had 3 adults, a teen and a 10 year old and there was plenty of room. The area has nice restaurants along with skiing which 3 family members had fun doing. Owner recently renovated the property and did a nice job. Only issue was the Nest thermostat keeper dropping the temperature when you weren't expecting it. Understand why it is set but it is not effective for the guest.

Central location

Central location to event we were vendors with. GPS took me to the backside of house so it took me an extra trip around to find the driveway. Comfortable home. Unfortunately we didn't get to enjoy the lovely deck, it looked very inviting. I did use the grill it was perfect for what I needed. We will consider staying for future events.

Nice Location, great parking

Nice place to stay. Well appointed kitchen, plenty of plates and cups for all. Smelled a little "doggy" but that is to be expected as it is a pet friendly listing (we don't have a pet). The bed in the master was too firm for my liking, but the other beds were comfy. The kids enjoyed the bunk beds. Nice big t.v. in the main living area. Outdoor porch is very good place to sit and enjoy the outdoors. Nice cool A/C inside. Great off street parking. Just a reminder for all who stay here DO NOT PUT OUT YOUR TRASH. It has to stay in the laundry/bathroom due to bears in the area.
