This listing is for a beachfront villa—1 of 4 overlooking the Atlantic Ocean on a swimming beach, at Coco Plum Beach & Tennis Club & Marina. You will stay in units 1, 2, 3, or 4; the exact villa number is provided on your arrival day. Each villa offers an inviting open plan, living & dining space, perfect for relaxing after a day in the sun. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide stunning ocean views enhancing the serene coastal ambiance.

Cocoplum sits on a rare Florida Keys beach and zero-edge pool overlooking both the Atlantic and the sandy shore. It’s an ideal spot for family reunions or two couples traveling together. Enjoy deep-water docks along a protected canal (with water and electricity), a heated swimming pool (heated from Dec 20 to March 30 and is just not necessary at any other time of the year. with ocean views and a jacuzzi. Located at mile marker 54.5 in the central Florida Keys, the property enjoys great year-round weather perfect for fishing, diving, & relaxing in the tropical climate.

Please note: Motorized watercraft, including boats, jet skis, & all motorized toys—are not permitted on the beach. Most guests stay for 7 nights, arriving and departing any day of the week, though shorter stays (3 to 6 nights) may be available on request.

The 2-bedroom, 2-bath vacation home is fully furnished, offering a full kitchen & dining area, a master bedroom with a queen bed, a guest room with a queen & twin bed, and a family room with a queen-size sofa bed (sleeps up to six). Additional amenities include 3 flat-screen cable TVs, a spacious screened porch, & a private laundry room. We include high speed comcast fiber Wi-Fi throughout the property. On the ground floor you’ll find the utility area with washer, dryer, bait freezer and storage. Exterior stairs lead to the main entrance on the first floor (dining, kitchen, kitchen, balcony), while an interior spiral staircase takes you to the second floor (living room, bedrooms, bathrooms, wet bar). No elevators on site.

Facility was good. Beach was nasty and stinky. Also was bit by something from the beach that itches like crazy for days after you get home. Will never stay on ocean side again. Gulf is place to be.

There were two issues. First - The Sargasm washed up on the shore stank of dead fish and rotten eggs. Obviously this was not within the property owners’ control. But I wish they had told us of the issue so that we could possibly reschedule. Second - The toilets (the water closet fixtures) are old, round-bowl type and I’m a big guy. And one of them regularly stopped up but I was able to plunger it out. Otherwise, the view was beautiful, the space stayed nice and cool, it was a nice and quiet location, and I highly recommend it!!!

This property was amazing. The views ocean view was amazing and just what we needed to decompress from the rat race. The location was close to everything you would need or want to do. The cottage was very clean and everything worked as it should. Check-in was a breeze and the gentleman was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The beach was scraped every morning to clean off and level it from the previous days of visitors and whatever the ocean may have brought up during the night. The pool and hot tub were very clean and relaxing. We will definitely be coming back soon!!!!!!

Fun property with ocean views. However, entire beach was covered with seaweed making ocean inaccessible. Full explanation of the seaweed was made and its purpose but there was no mention of this on the website with plenty of pictures of a seaweed free beach on the description. Would have appreciated the heads up. Thanks.

This was a quiet family resort. Perfect for two couples. It was interesting having a spiral staircase. The views are incredible, the private ocean front beach is amazing. We took a day trip to Key West, which was about an hour away. We enjoyed a walk to Pigeon Key on the old 7 mile bridge, along with a tour. This place is close to restaurants and to the grocery store. We would go there again. We stayed in an oceanfront unit, which was well worth the money with the view, view, view. Loved it.

So much more than we expected!!! We stayed at #2 ocean front and the views and location was perfect! Everyone was so friendly! The kids had a blast! The house was perfect! Much nicer than the pictures give! So clean and so many extra perks that made the stay perfect! I was worried about the spiral staircase, but the Kids loved it and we did too! Would absolutely stay again! The private beach is where it’s at! With residential neighbors. Very quiet, perfect for families!

Had a great stay in Marathon. Home was well equipped and had everything we needed. Unfortunately for us, there was a large sea weed die off and the beach was not usable, no fault of the hosts. Hope to visit again when the sea weed has cleared up.

Great stay!

Best property in Marathon! Beautiful views, private beach, great location and local restaurants with great food! Key West is still close enough to enjoy a day shopping or riding around on scooters. Would definitely rent this cottage again!!

Marathon is considered the heart of the Florida Keys! Go deep sea or backcountry fishing, sailing, diving, or snorkeling at an incredible coral reef, then unwind at nearby restaurants. Key West, known for its vibrant history and endless shopping, is 54 miles south. At least one guest in each group must be 25 years old or older. Maximum occupancy is six per villa, including children; day visitors are not permitted. Only registered guests can use the resort’s amenities, maintaining its intimate character. The resort sits right on the Atlantic beach. The front four units are “Beach Front” (most expensive), followed by six “Palm Court” villas (moderately priced), eight “Key Lime Grove” villas (best value), and finally two “Tropical Island” villas (least expensive), which overlook the tennis courts and are only a brief walk to the beach and pool. Traveling with a large group? Multiple villas can be booked on the same property for extended families, friends, or corporate retreats. For various rates & availability, browse other listings on VRBO. Amenities include beach access, jacuzzi, heated pool (Heated Dec 20 to March 30), full kitchen with all the utensils and appliances needed, linens & towels, tennis court, basketball court, free washer and dryer in every villa, & sleeper sofa in the family room. Comcast high speed fiber Wi-Fi Activities abound—from world-class diving and fishing to lounging in a chaise lounge beside the heated pool. Swim with dolphins at the Dolphin Research Center, just four miles away, or take a scenic hour-long drive over the Seven Mile Bridge to Key West. The region is renowned for excellent fishing & diving all year, & some of the best tarpon fishing during May & June. Cocoplum is conveniently located 2.5 hours from Miami Airport, 3 hours from Fort Lauderdale Airport, & 55 miles from Key West. The scenic drive passes over 25 bridges connecting the islands of the Keys. The property sits right in the middle, truly the Heart of the Florida Keys.
