Unorganized, unclean, unprepared, unhelpful -
I’ve used Vrbo 3 times and ONLY once was the experience excellent and this was definitely not one of them.From the start, things went wrong, and unfortunately, the host was not empathetic and more interested in going back and forth with me about their inefficiency than addressing the actual issues.First, check-in was an issue—we arrived at 4:13 PM to find the cleaning crew still inside, explaining that a toilet had overflowed and they needed extra time, forcing us to wait outside for another 30 minutes after 4 hours of travel.Then, the parking situation was a nightmare!!. The listing’s instructions stated that parking was at 300 Washington Street, behind the building but we discovered, when trying to leave for work, that the fob and gate remote actually opened a different lot on Williams Street; so our car was stranded in the lot and NO ONE was able to get us in or out. This caused my spouse to miss his work shift and an important appointment—completely ruining our schedule and wasting money on plans had for the following day that we could no longer attend.On top of that, the fob didn’t work for the gym.The unit itself was poorly maintained. The coffee maker still had old coffee grinds in it, flatware in the drawers had food remains, one of the lamps was broken, marks on the walls, broken blinds and lacked basic hospitality touches—no coffee, tea, water bottles, or bathroom toiletries provided. The host’s dismissive attitude only made it worst.
