KIOWA IS A DRY CABIN, THERE IS NO RUNNING WATER. It is located directly beside Coyote bath house where there are heated showers, toilets and running water. The cabin will have water for drinking.
Kiowa Cabin is one of the most historic cabins at AVR -the definition of a classic, rustic cabin in the mountains! Kiowa is furnished with a queen bed, a living room sofa sleeper, a kitchen table and chairs and a small kitchen with a coffee maker and 1 burner electric stove.

Pets are welcome in our cabins for $25 per night per pet, with a maximum of 2 pets.

To enhance your stay, a wide array of seasonal and year-round amenities is included with every reservation through our resort fee. All activities are available on a first-come, first-served basis. During the summer, dive into adventure with canoes, paddle boards, mountain bikes, fishing poles, hiking, and outdoor games like volleyball, horseshoes, cornhole, and ping pong. In winter, enjoy snowshoeing, sledding, and our ice-skating rink. Year-round, you’ll find comforts like complimentary coffee, Wi-Fi, and a variety of board games.

If you’d like quiet and not a lot of people around during the winter time, this is a great place to go, but it is far from town. There are no restaurants there. Expedia did not have a very good explanation of what to expect with the room. It said it was one bedroom one bath, but when they arrived, they stated the bath was not inside. It was out a shared bathroom And it was a dry cabin. We had to pay more to get a cabin that had a bathroom inside. We enjoyed our time up there. The staff was very helpful and very accommodating. We enjoyed the cabin, but I did not enjoy the bed. The mattress was too hard for my taste and it had a low spot on one side mattress is too hard for me.

Our ranch is surrounded by the Arapaho National Forest and is nestled in one of the most beautiful wilderness areas in the Indian Peaks Wilderness. This area features hiking trails, waterfalls, and historic steam engines from the old town of Monarch. We have a private hiking trail that leads to our “kissing swing” overlooking the headwaters of the Colorado River Valley.
