Stargazer Chalet in Carnelian Bay

Welcome to our cozy Lake Tahoe cabin, tucked on a corner double lot with peaceful forest views and modern comforts. The main level features two queen bedrooms, a full bath, a bright bonus family room or office with an extra TV, and a warm fireplace surrounded by beautiful furnishings. Enjoy morning coffee on the large back deck while breathing fresh mountain air. Upstairs you will find two more bedrooms: a queen room and a spacious room for slumber parties with a queen, a twin, and a twin bunk, sleeping up to 10 guests comfortably.

Location:
From this North Shore location you will find great trails for mountain biking and hiking around Watson Creek and even cross-country skiing on the Tahoe Cross Country Ski Trails. In fact, you will find trails from here to Tahoe City and the town of Carnelian Bay. There are three large resorts just a short drive away, approximately 10-13 miles. These resorts offer an abundance of winter and summer activities.

Parking:
Parking is available for 4 cars total in the summer and 3 total in winter. All cars must park on the driveway. No street parking per county ordinance.
Prepare for mountain or winter weather driving in winter months. This may mean Four wheel drive with snow tires or chains. Check weather or road reports. AWD and 4WD necessary to get up the mountain roads and some driveways in the winter months.

Other things to Note:
* Renters must be 25+
* This is a non-smoking home.
* Pets are not allowed at this home.
* Maximum Occupancy per county ordinance is 10 adults.
* Use of outdoor furniture is not guranteed in the winter.
* Like most homes/condos in Tahoe, this one does not have Air Conditioning. There will be fans available for your use.
* Your safety matters. This property may features exterior security cameras. The cameras are outward facing and do not look into interior spaces. The cameras will continuously record video and sound while guests are in residence.

Great place!!! Very quiet and tucked away. Slept warm and comfortable. The two living rooms worked out great for the younger kids to play their games, while us adults played ours at the table in the front.

House was great, enough rooms and beds for everyone. Short drive to Palisades and into town. Living room and kitchen felt bigger than the pictures!

Great cozy home

Enjoyed our stay in this cozy cabin. The property manager was very responsive and allowed us to extend our stay on short notice. No issues, and lots of space for a family. Games/toys were a nice added touch.

Great location and neighborhood, super nice facilities, rooms, decor, only issue was a few of the beds were pretty uncomfortable. But great experience overall!

Perfect place

Spent 3 days/2 nights here with my family and friends. The home was large, clean, and a great space to accommodate all of us. The home was exactly as pictured and had everything we needed for our stay. The House is in great condition, with an open communal area of the kitchen, and living & dining room for all of us to congregate in. Large driveway to accommodate all our cars.

Awesome Experience

The ubication was perfect, all the amenities inside the house are useful, all you have to bring is food. The house was very cozy and warm with 2 chimneys you are ready for any snow day and night.

Great Summer House!!

Great location for water sports and shopping! And the photos do not lie!! Fully stocked, clean, and roomy!! Had a little trouble with internet, but local contact was ready and available to see to it. The kids loved the back room to play games and the adults thoroughly enjoyed the comfort of the great room. We couldn't use the built in outdoor grill, as it required our own wood - wood fires are discouraged... but we managed with the tiny portable grill. Towels are plentiful as are linens for beds. Loved the supplied toiletries, too - something we didn't expect!! We will definitely return!!

This cabin was beautiful and fit our needs, however, as we stayed in the summer, it had a noticeable mouse problem. There were rodent droppings in the bedrooms and the linens had clearly not been changed, as there were crumbs and rodent droppings in the sheets and on the bed frame of one of the upstairs beds. We requested help from the host, and they offered to move us to a new cabin. We waited for hours for the host to update us with check-in instructions, which never came. We had to call emergency maintenance after hours to get our check-in instructions for the new cabin, and move after dark. The second cabin was much smaller and not as nice, but for the same price, and the second cabin also had mouse droppings in every single corner. In the end we did stay at the cabin, and it had great potential but is not well managed. In raising my concerns about cleanliness of linens and the second cabin as well as the total lack of communication by the host, we were told "we do our best to proactively manage wildlife" and given less than a night of refund. I do not recommend Tahoe Rental Company.

Great Vacation Stay

The Lake is without a question an outstanding vacation destination and the house was exceptionally well located, easy to access, plenty of great parking and was very comfortable to gather the family in. Additionally, the staff at Tahoe Rentals was professional, helpful and instantly accessible unlike most of the other rental companies in Tahoe. Comfortable for Multigenerational Family

Great house for time with extended family, ages 6 through 79! Lots of open spaces, a well-appointed kitchen, comfy beds, and nice amenities. Also in a fabulous “old Tahoe” neighborhood just steps from hiking and biking trails. Would definitely stay again!

So Perfect

Absolutely loved this place. The location was perfect and a quick easy ride uber/tart/drive to Gar Woods and the beach! It is very spacious and comes with everything you may need. Would definitely stay here again.

Overall a very nice place

I’m happy with my decision to pick this property. It was clean, fully equipped with kitchen stuff and children stuff, roomy but also cozy. The only problem we have is the heating system because we were didn’t really know how to adjust it or if it is adjustable at all, but it doesn’t really bother us much. Will come back next year!

Great stay

Had a blast with my friends, this was the last stop on our 2 week long road trip and we couldn't have asked for a better end to it. The cabin was amazing and so was its location. Definitely would rent again!

Great house

We had a great time! Lots of space and kitchen was well supplied with everything we needed. There was no air conditioning and it was hot while we were there. It did cool off nicely at night.

Very clean. Had a lot snow the shovels really help.when we got there the tv wouldn't work . Found a switch in the back of tv switched it we ok .that was the only glitch .roads got plowed two three times so we got out with no problem. I would recommend highly.

Big house in quiet area

Large house perfect for big groups with all the basics. Located in a very quiet neighborhood with access to trails. Could use a deep cleaning and some updating.

Tahoe cabin stay

Overall it is a great fit for our needs, just a few issues this year that weren’t an issue previous years. The dryer wasn’t working properly and the tv remote was missing. The fold up couch bed was folded up with dirty sheets and a towel accidentally but everything else was clean and tidy. The downstairs toilet runs so a jiggle of the handle was necessary to get it to stop. Overall we enjoyed our time there, just a couple of little things need to be addressed before the next guests arrive. Thank you!

We are sorry to see there were some drawbacks to this guest's visit this year. The dryer is currently out of commission, and the TV still works without the remote.
