The living room area could have been vacuumed more under the dining room table. Also wish 2nd bed & bath were as renovated as Main.

We were a a little late for our check-in, but managment sent a very kind and appreciated email detailing the unit key location and check-in procedures. It was very clear and easy. what a great way to start our vacation!

Great location

Love the place. No keys left for our stay. Almost two hour delay to get in. Air was not working. Maid shows up about two hours before departure. Mold in shower.

Wonderful week with family!

This is the third time that we have stayed at the Outrigger ! The condo was very clean upon our arrival last week. I wish that there would have been beach towels available in the condo . The outside of the building and the grounds in the area by the Parking Lot definitely need updating with new paint on the building and new grass should be planted as it looks terrible right now. We had two things break during our stay (handle on the refrigerator and the dishwasher), called maintenance and they came out shortly after our call and fixed both items. We will be returning next year!

It was disappointing. Wi-Fi was very sketchy. No internet in the bedrooms. Coffee maker leaked.

I would not rent again. There was also construction/sewer water main being worked on 5 days out of the 7 days we were there. Very loud. When I called to ask about Wi-Fi the woman told me to try it tomorrow.

Perfect location

This location was a perfect beach front location with private beach access with available chairs and beach front grilling location! Our rental was perfect for our family with two on-suite bedrooms and a beautiful kitchen in the middle. We had so much fun at the beach and at the pool! We will definitely be coming back!!

EXCELLENT LOCATION, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

In many ways this is a simple no frills property. ENTRANCE: Our keys did not work to unlock the main entrance door to the apartment. We got keys that only unlocked the external door that gives access to the apartment via the 2nd bedroom. If anyone was staying in that room with us it would have been very awkward to enter & exit the apartment through that door. Certainly not a good experience each time we entered & exited the apartment. Very disappointing arrangement. SECURITY: I was uncomfortable with the security of the property. Not sure if there were security cameras. May have seen 1 or 2. Certainly not adequate for the parking lot, apartments as well as beach front access. BASIC ACCOMMODATION: The accommodation is too basic for the price being charged. The kitchen utensils were not properly placed in the kitchen. Utensils were inadequate. Felt like were were using odds & ends of cutlery & dishes vs proper sets. The knife set was old & outdated. CLEANLINESS: There was sand on both kitchen counters. It is possible that the cleaners did a quick clean before we arrived. Reported this when we arrived, however was ignored. NO WIFI, NO TV: We had no wifi & TV for 5 of our 7 day "vacation".. Both the WIFI ID & Password given in our arrival documents were incorrect. No one at RVA saw the importance of communicating this critical info to us. Left several messages with the 800-number given by RVA Resort Vacations, re the problem we were having with the WIFI however no one contacted us. Called the RVA staff Christy Ward Sales Reservations Supervisor via the number provided, left messages however she never returned our calls, not even to issue an apology for not getting back to us earlier, although we indicated that our mater was both urgent & important. We were told by a director that the staff were were calling was "OFF" on Sunday & Monday. I guess they though that this was a reasonable explanation from being unreachable & for not returning our calls. Felt like our attempt to reach out to them re: the WIFI matter was completely ignored. 2-1/2 days to the end of our stay when the WIFI and Television matter was finally resolved there was no acknowledgment of the inconvenience we suffered, no apology and even a trivialising of what we had to endure for those 5 days without WIFI & Television. DISHES: Had no way to verify that the dishes, pots, pans and kitchen utensils were sanitised before our arrival. This is a basic pandemic protocol.

Unit #4 is the worst one in my opinion. The unit was clean. The furniture is old and needs replaced. The quest bathroom needs updated. The internet did not work which was very frustrating. You could not watch TV without internet access. I called RVA and was told someone would be by to fix it. No one came to fix or even check the internet. Also, nobody from RVA ever followed up. I am not sure why I had to Pay a service fee.

Wonderful place to stay!

We have been going to the Outrigger for over 24 years and it feels like home each time we go! It is very family oriented and the beach is amazing!!

Beach needs to be “turned over”

Just want to shout out on Jeff @ Vasa... he was so helpful and friendly. His follow up with our internet was fast & fixed the same day.

Worst stay beware of rental

Reviewer Comments: I stayed at the outrigger unit 4 with my newborn baby, husband and mom. We were excited because we thought it would look exactly like the pictures. It turned out to be one of the most disgusting stays I have ever encountered. Below is a list of issues that I reported to RVA management. after we tried having our issues fixed by the cleaning people multiple times, my mom wouldn’t continue to stay with us because her room was still dirty and she was getting bug bites throughout the night in her bed. Floors filthyFood on fridgeDried blood on bed sheetsBedsheets smelled like sour milkBugs in beds - got attacked throughout the nightNo wifiDishes put away dirtyDishwasher had broken soap dispenser Blinds missing from window in all roomsMissing ceiling fan in master- stored in closet* We had to have the cleaning people come out three times because they couldn’t get it clean the first two times. * We had to have an IT person come out to get us Wi-Fi after three days of not having it* Our VA gave us a credit of 20% which was one free night for our troubles. This was the most they would offer* I will dispute this in small claims court because I’m not paying for staying here it was absolutely disgusting even after they tried cleaning it. When they came to clean it they put sheets on the bed that smelled like sour milk and we still had little bugs in our beds* I would never stay at this unit ever again. It looks nothing like the pictures, it’s false advertisement. All during covid!!!

Relaxing beach getaway in Longboat Key

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family enjoyed our beach getaway. Short walk to the beach and easy parking access. The unit was clean and had a nicely updated kitchen, bathrooms, and living area. Photos accurately reflect the unit. There were two outdoor balcony areas to get some fresh air, and this property was quiet and peaceful. Check in and check out process was easy and quick through RVA.Cons: (1) The room with the two twin beds has a noisy window AC unit above one of the beds; not ideal if you have light sleepers. (2) Some of the towels looked quite used/dirty and should be replaced. (3) DSL Wi-fi was on the slower side and sometimes spotty.
