Oceanfront Lookout, pet friendly with pool

Summary:
The name of this gorgeous condo says it ALL! Catch the gorgeous sunrise over the Atlantic from your 3rd floor porch! Oceanfront Oasis has it all- a cozy space to vacation that is situated centrally to all things that make "Pleasure Island" amazing. In seconds your toes will be in the sand or explore the island- fishing charters, historic Ft. Fisher, NC Aquarium delicious and eclectic restaurants coffee shops etc. Downtown Wilmington is less than 45 mins away! Don't forget to check out the new murals!

The Space:
The pool is located just besidethe condo. The HOA opens the pool mid April and closes typically the second week in September, depending on weather
We also supply the following for each property:
A starter kit of one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, one roll of paper towels, a trash bag, and dish soap. We also supply laundered bed linens, comforters, and 1 bathing towel and wash cloth per person. We do not supply any beach gear or beach towel. We have great rental companies on the island we would be more than happy to share the info with you. We also do not supply laundry detergent, body soap or shampoo/conditioner as we find everyone has their own preferences for these =) Please review our house rules prior to your stay

Guest Access:
This unit is on the 3rd floor and there is NO elevator

The Neighborhood:
The neighborhood is close to everything. Mix of vacationers and year round residents.

Getting Around:
- Free parking at condo

-Walk, bike, public parking at beaches and in town

-Bike and golf cart rentals are available on the island

-Uber cars and taxi's are also available

Other Things to Note:
There is a Beach re-nourishment done in Carolina and Kure beach every 3 years. This helps to keep our beaches safe from erosion. Please note that we have no control over this project and that it is normally concluded by May, but there is a possibility of delays.

The view was incredible! The condo was clean and easy to access. It was very windy during my stay and when all the doors were shut it would sound like a howling sound off and on all night. It woke me up several times. I tried to open and shut the door tighter but it didn’t work.

Filthy everywhere! From outside sticky table to gross bathrooms, dusty fans, dirty kitchen, and sink was dirty and rusty, dishes and glasses, too. Broken glass in cabinet. Sand and dirt all under cushions of sofa! I could go on and on. Nothing to cook with! 4 odd drinking glasses. No pots and bowls, sheets were already on beds. I don’t know if they were used already. Flat pillows. Screen door is almost impossible to open and close. No dresser or anything to put clothes inside. I had to use my suitcase. Exposed wires of tv and in bedrooms. My husband’s birthday place to stay was a horrible experience and we’ll never be back. And I will be reporting this unit to vrbo. Eva

Good for a short stay. There are no dressers if someone was staying longer. You can hang things in the closet. Limited cups, plates, etc. Great location. Beautiful views from the deck. Cute decor. Loved that we could have a larger dog with us! I thought this was a high rise bc of the picture, but it is a condo complex with 5ish floors which was a nice surprise. One thing that was odd…. The sliding storm door broke. The vertical part from ceiling to floor that the door slid into and connected to broke and literally fell off. We shoved it back up, and the door could not close all the way. We finally got it to have a minimal crack. They don’t send maintenance on a weekend for that I guess? That seems like something that shouldn’t wait. The location makes it worth it. And the dog policy. The rest are just thoughts for improvement.

Great location, could really use some updating. If your goal is to be beachside with a balcony overlooking the ocean and you don’t care about the rest, then this place is a great choice. Also pet friendly, which we needed. The interior could use some work, ceilings are peeling in a few places, kitchen is odd and not very functional, dishwasher was very dirty inside. Showers and bathrooms were clean, but shower was small and vanities are very low so if you are a taller person it may be a challenge (I’m 5’5” and vanity too came to my mid-thigh). There were no window screens so leaving the windows open means bugs can get in. Beds were extremely firm (like sleeping on the floor firm) with only two tiny pillows per bed and a very thin blanket so if you have the ability to bring your own, do it. Checkout is pretty early (10am) which was kind of inconvenient and the cleaning woman was there AT 10am. Rental did include two beach chairs for the length of our stay, which was a great perk. Great location. Great view. Nice balcony overlooking ocean. Complex is nice and well maintained. Interior left something to be desired.

Almost perfect….but not quite

We had a great timeThe two major issues we had were:The dishes and silverware were obviously soiled, the knives looked like someone spread peanut butter and put them directly back in the drawer. All dishes and silverware had to be clean prior to use. Parking was a nightmare. There was a family staying in A7 that thought they got two separate parking slips under the building so we did not get parking on property our last night.

Location was great! Condo needs some good cleaning and updates amenities for use. Silverware was in poor condition,I would recommend bringing your own/buying disposable. Dishwasher doesn’t actually clean anything and I had to sweep/wipe everything down upon arrival due to lack of cleanliness and sand everywhere (including beds). Lock on main door was VERY loose and I didn’t like the lack of security (main sliding door didn’t lock or have stick to secure). Couldn’t pass up the location and management was quick to address concerns, 5 stars on these two topics; 2 stars otherwise.

Beautiful ocean view!

We booked this property for the beachfront ocean view and it did not disappoint! The beds were comfortable and the condo was clean. The condo is a bit dated and could’ve used some new furniture. The bedrooms would benefit from having dressers and TVs. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay. The beach and ocean was clean and beautiful, and we spent most of our time on the beautiful balcony when in condo. Michael’s seafood restaurant was excellent!

Family beach getaway with dogs

Overall great stay. We very much appreciate a beach house that allows dogs and this was perfect. We did wish the dishwasher was clean upon arrival but overall cleanliness was great. There were inquiries about the W/D that would have been good to know beforehand but it was great to find out they had a washer and dryer in the property (would recommend adding to the listing). Amazing deck and location. Overall great trip!

Weekend at the beach

Beautiful views from the balcony and the beach was excellent for bodyboard surfing. Close to restaurants and a few mins from the amusement park. Best beach trip we’ve had in a long time. The condo was clean and the pool was nice too. We will definitely be back!

Summer Beach Getaway

Great location and view. Condo is relatively clean, but could use a deep clean for dust, mold spots in showers, kitchen cabinets and dishwasher. Pans for cooking were gross with old food and peeled…making unable to use. Otherwise a pleasant stay and no issues encountered.

Great location!

Nice place to stay for quick beach access, pool access, and beach views. Right on the beach! Ample parking too. Management responded quickly to any questions, before and during the visit. Thank you!
