The location is absolutely perfect and the hostess is wonderful with a great personal touch and loads of helpful information. She was happy to help arrange airport transport. The apartment itself is charming and quirky. The bottom floor includes two twin beds, the bathroom, shower, a washing machine, closet and salon. In hot weather, this is definitely cooler than the rest of the apartment. It is reached by a spiral iron staircase that is very aesthetically pleasing, but can be challenging. The main floor includes the entryway, kitchen, and a living room. Above the living room is a loft sleeping area with a queen bed. The loft has a straight but narrow gauge stair to it. The unit does have a ceiling fan in the kitchen, the windows do open and has a split air conditioner. During the week we stayed with temperatures in the high 80s Fahrenheit, it was still pretty hot and humid in the apartment, it may take some acclimitizion. There is creative and effective use of mirrors and glass floor panels to get natural light into the entire apartment. The apartment is incredibly quiet and fully equipped. You are literally only minutes from bars, restaurants, the Sorbonne, Notre Damn, the Marais and the Seine itself. We mainly got around by walking and bike share and used cabs on a couple of rainy days. Hint, the G7 cabs are allowed to use the bike lanes which make them significantly faster than Uber. Overall a great week in Paris, made great by a turnkey VRBO perfectly situated.
