In the heart of Montara, this 1 bedroom, 1 bath cottage with private enclosed backyard for pets/kids puts you in prime proximity to Golden Gate National Recreation Area trail system, Montara Mountain views, the golden sand of Montara State Beach and the beautiful sunsets into the Pacific Ocean. Between the Montara Mountains and Montara State Beach, there are over 10,000 acres of open space to roam around and catch stunning views. Everything in Montara is within walking or biking distance. Wake up to the fresh ocean air and explore the nearby alpaca farm Alpacas By The Sea. Experience awe-inspiring views of the sun rise over the majestic mountains filled with coastal cypress and rare grasslands or choose the vivid sunsets our coast is known for- all in Silicon Valley's own hidden paradise.

The perfect getaway

We had the best time here! It was beautifully decorated & had everything we needed. The heated floors were an absolute bonus! We were close to delicious restaurants and more importantly right next to the ocean. The alpacas across the street were so cute too! We can’t wait to go back!!

Perfect getaway to the coast

We booked Montara Beach Mountain Escape to celebrate our 9 year anniversary. The space was perfect- very clean, quiet, private, beautiful and comfortable inside. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and being close to town. Thank you!

Great location, cute place

I love this property and will continue to rent it. The outdoor yard space is great as well, and the communication process is easy. This is my second stay here. My only complaint this time was that the floor had not been mopped prior to my arrival and was quite dirty. I think it was just overlooked, the rest of the property was very clean. Please consider getting some blinds for the back sliding door.

Really, really nice!

This was exactly what I was looking for, fenced back yard with green grass and bark chips for our pups. House is very, very cute and well maintained. Nice residential area to walk and lots of restaurants in the Half Moon Bay area. We did have problems getting in using the keypad but was able to reach someone right away and after trying a few times, they sent someone over to get us in. The only negative issue for me was phone service. I have Verizon (which could have been the problem) and could not make calls inside the house even with their WIFI, or using my data. Outside the calls kept dropping.

Cozy cottage

We loved our stay! Everything was above and beyond what we expected from the cozy blankets to the super comfy bed, heated bathroom floor, fully functional kitchen. All within a walk to Montara beach where my daughter had a beach volleyball tournament. Also nice backyard space if we had brought our dog which we didn’t this stay. Can’t wait to book again!

Great little house in a great location

First of all, communication was fabulous, I had everything I needed to check in and check out, and the property managers were not intrusive at all. The place was incredibly clean and well-maintained. It had everything you could want and more. The location is two blocks from great hiking trails and it was so wonderful to bring my dogs, I will definitely rent this property again.

Weekend getaway with Chins

A perfect place for a weekend getaway with hubby and my Japanese Chins. The only suggestion is to reduce the bottom gate space between the Verbo yard and the neighbors yard. My dogs are small and could have easily slipped underneath to neighbors yard. I had to place table benches on there side against gate to cover.space.

Vaca House

We had a great stay, the only reason we gave it 4 stars was because there was a "ring/ automatic light camera" in the backyard. There were no shades or covering for the doors that lead to the backyard. it felt like we were being watched thru the back doors. Also, no blinds on windows,or no screen doors! Hard to open and let fresh air in without the bugs flying in the house. However, house was very nice and clean. Quiet location and you can actually see the beach and hear the waves!

Cute cozy cottage

We really enjoyed staying at your cottage. It is so well stocked, very peaceful and in such a beautiful location. There are so many nice touches in the whole house and plenty of room for our small dog to run around.

Beautiful cottage by the sea

Great location, excellent walking paths, great landscaping and fun at Halloween. Our dogs enjoyed the yard, walking the trails and checking out the alpaca’s across the street.

Lovely Clean Cottage With Nice Yard

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. This cottage is quiet and clean and has a great fenced yard. It also has a spacious kitchen with plenty of pots and pans. A perfect place for a getaway! We would gladly stay here again.
