Dock, Pavilion, Hot Tub, Kayaks, Lakefront- Blue Heron Landing
Blue Heron Landing is a vacation rental property located in the historic town of Dandridge, Tennessee, nestled at the foothills of the Smoky Mountains and on the shores of beautiful Douglas Lake. The home offers 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, comfortably accommodating 14 guests. There is a pool table in a rec room, a hot tub on a screened porch, plenty of outdoor seating and a floating dock that can accommodate up to 3 boats. A free public boat launch is 4 minutes away.
The interior of the home boasts a stone wood-burning fireplace, a well-stocked kitchen, and laundry facilities. The dining area provides ample space for large groups and the downstairs rec room features a pool table and sleeper sofa. Additionally, the lower level also has a family-size bedroom with a Queen bed and twin trundles. The home is equipped with high-speed internet and smart TVs located throughout.
Step outside to the huge screened-in porch, perfect for outdoor dining and relaxation. The property also includes a hot tub, where you can soak in the beautiful views of Douglas Lake. The home has various decks for gathering, a sun deck, and a stairway leading to a floating dock that can accommodate up to 3 boats. There are 2 kayaks at the dock area. There are 2 life jackets and ores with the kayaks. Use at your own risk. Observe safety precautions when using the kayaks at all times. Return the kayaks, ores, and life jackets to their storage area before check out. By using the kayaks, you agree to hold the owner and management company harmless from any injuries that may occur.
The location of the property is ideal for those looking to explore the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which is located just a short drive from Douglas Lake. The park is home to a wide variety of plants and animals, and offers a variety of recreational opportunities, including hiking, fishing, and camping. The park also features several historic sites, including the Elkmont Historic District and the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail. Just 45 minutes away from Gatlinburg, the home is even closer to Pigeon Forge, home to Dollywood and other popular attractions, other amusement, music and entertainment attractions such as the Island in Pigeon Forge. The Smoky Mountains offer an abundance of outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, and wildlife viewing. Douglas Lake is also a popular destination for boating and water sports.
Experience the charm and history of Dandridge, the second oldest town in Tennessee and the only town in the state to be named after a woman. The town offers a variety of historical sites, museums, and antique shops to explore. Book your stay at Blue Heron Landing and experience all that Dandridge, Douglas Lake, and the Smoky Mountains have to offer.
The rental is for the entire home and no one else will be there.
If you need a boat or jet ski rental while enjoying your Douglas Lake getaway, reach out to your host at Mountain Lake Getaways. Douglas Lake is a TVA controlled reservoir and is drawn down from late fall through early spring. The lake is still there, but docks may be sitting on the lake bottom and not at the edge of the property. The lake is typically at full summer pool during the summer months. This dock typically floats through September, but I can not guarantee it.
You will be required to sign a rental agreement, a point of contact form and set up a required security deposit just making your reservation. This is required to stay with us.
