The home features three private, well-separated bedrooms, ideal for families, professionals, or guests sharing a space long-term.
Two front bedrooms each offer king-size beds with quality hybrid mattresses for consistent, restorative sleep
The back bedroom includes a queen Tempur-Pedic mattress, ensuite bathroom, and a vintage clawfoot soaking tub—perfect for winding down after a long day
A full-size air mattress and portable crib are available for added flexibility during longer stays

Very clean, comfortable and attractively designed home with good lighting and mattresses, which I particularly appreciate. Lots of thoughtful touches throughout, from extra toiletries to a well-stocked kitchen. Communication with the owner was easy and immediate. Walkable to several local restaurants, quiet neighborhood and close to lots of great outdoors experiences. We enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful and comfortable home

The home is completely updated and beautifully decorated which is apparent with the first opening of the door. There are more than ample amenities staged throughout the home resulting in all you really need are your personal items. Sarah, the host makes multiple contacts via email ensuring that questions and any needs are handled. The home is located in the middle of Salem in a quiet neighborhood on a one way street with only a small amount of traffic. Highly recommend this property.

Great Weekend

The house was cute, clean and everything was in tip top shape! Loved the 2 king sized beds. We make this trip to Salem once a year and this was one of the nicest places we have stayed. Check in was easy and location was convenient. We will definitely be back! Would recommend!

Gem in a small town

I had planned a fishing trip to south central Missouri and Salem is a central location for several Blue Ribbon fishing streams.The home was neat and clean and comfortable. I would rent again when I return to the area.

A bright gem!

The house is set up very nicely with lots of attention to what makes a place comfortable and relaxing. It is bright and inviting and clean. The beds were comfortable and the bedroom decor was soothing and inviting. The kitchen and bathrooms were fully equipped with plenty of utensils/plates/gadgets/etc and the bathrooms had plenty of quality towels (hand and bath size) and no shortage of quality paper products and bath/kitchen/laundry accessories. Great stay and loved the fact that we could take our dog! Would absolutely book again.

Beautiful, clean and cozy cottage!

The Simply Salem Cottage is beautiful! Updated, exceptionally clean and comfortably cozy! Many extras you don't always find! Snacks, coffee, detergent just to name a few! Adorable house with plenty of room. Bedrooms are good size and comfortable beds. Bathrooms are spacious and clean! Kitchen has all the things you could need for your stay! We didn't use the yard or fire pit as we were here to visit family and the weather was not conducive for outdoor fire. We did stroll the downtown area. It looks like the town is trying to revitalize it! Owners were so easy to work with, good communication and accommodating to our specific needs. Thank you to them for making our stay easier on my 92 year old mother! I would definitely recommend this cottage! It is a gem! A five star for sure!

Last minute stay for a family emergency

Due to a family emergency we quickly had to travel and accommodate 6 people. I can't praise this location enough. The owner was kind, professional, and very helpful with any issues, including helping with booking. The house is perfect for a large family visiting, every room was extremy clean, the beds were comfortable, the linens were all fresh and smelled great. If I ever want to go back to this area I'll definitely see if this is available first.

Family Christmas (Rescheduled)

Sarah was extremely helpful and flexible! As we were snowed out for our original weekend and she allowed us to reschedule due to weather. The place was beautiful, tasteful, immaculate! Just absolutely darling! Having grown up in Salem myself, I’ve now found a place to stay comfortably with my family and have plenty of the things that I need including a place for my pets if I need it! Family Holiday Trip

Such a cute place! They have everything you can think of and many things you might have forgotten. The house is just as described, and very comfortable. The hosts are terrific. We will recommend to any of the extended family that wants to visit Salem. It was perfect for us, and thoughtfully stocked with snacks and water which we really appreciated since everything was closed Thanksgiving day.

The house was perfect for an overnight with our dog while traveling. The house is so cute and very clean and has all of the essentials plus lots of extras if you forget anything. It has a fenced in back yard and even some dog mats and bowls. We loved our stay!

Great getaway spot

We booked this cottage for our float trip. It was a little drive to the river, but we couldn't have asked for better accommodations. Sarah was great with communication. We will definitely have to do this again.

Our family had a great stay during our fishing trip. The house was clean and welcoming with nice, comfortable furnishings and decor, well stocked with kitchen utensils, toiletries and even snacks, and just blocks away from restaurants, coffee shops and more in Salem. Can't wait to stay again!

The Simply Salem Cottage has a nice layout with each bedroom separate from the others, allowing lots of privacy. We renovated it ourselves, with the goal of it being fresh, bright, and easy to maintain. We think you will love it!
