Cozy Pea Stay May 22-25 2025

The Cozy Pea was perfect for our visit to Shiner for family events. Had plenty of space. Property is convenient to town and Shiner family. Very clean with all the amenities we needed. The Byrds are great hosts. Will stay here again when visiting in the future.

Home is decorated such as presented. Location was great, beds were comfortable, very well stocked with towels. Had a bit of confusion as we never received our arrival instructions for the lock box code. Called number associated with VRBO listing, spoke to a lady and she was going to text the code which we never received. I messaged on VRBO and got the response the next day. We did figure out the code and was able to access the home. I would stay again but would try and contact well in advance of my arrival for the lock box code.

Great property, very nice owners!

Really great spot, specially for multiple families - we had room for us, the baby, our other 2 kids, and an aunt and uncle. It felt plenty spacious! Our daughter especially loved all the peacock decor. The owners welcome you to visit their home, so we drove out and got to play with all their goats and peacocks and chickens and turkeys and dogs… it was really fun!

Pleasant Surprise

Looking for a quality place in a small town and I hit the jackpot! The place was so spacious, incredibly clean and perfect location. We had 3 adults and 4 children ranging in age from 2-14. Everyone got their own bed. Highly recommend if you are going to be in the Shiner area. Owners are super nice! We will be returning!

Perfect

Just as described: The Cozy Pea was the perfect retreat while we were in town for a family reunion. Clean & comfortable. We have stayed at many rentals over the past 20 years and am happy to report that this one is probably the best equipped. . We have gotten used to being prepared to needing supply our own various items(not needed here). Owners are extremely prompt with responding and very welcoming. Will definitely keep this on our repeat list. Our granddaughter did not want to leave “the peacock house”.

The host reached out and gave me the lay of the land a few days before hand, the house was clean and cozy our whole stay, it was easy check in and out. I will definitely stay here again!

Visit the renowned Shiner Brewery for a taste of local craft beer, or catch a game at the StarPlex baseball park. The American Legion Hall, another local landmark, is also just a short drive away.
