Welcome to UP! HOUSE COSTA RICA – your tropical home base in Playa Chiquita, where you can unwind, explore, and connect with nature. This private jungle property features two cozy and artistic cottages nestled in a lush tropical garden teeming with local wildlife. Both cottages are reserved together, making this the perfect spot for families, groups of friends, or travelers seeking a blend of comfort, privacy, and Caribbean charm.
The main house, UP! HOUSE, accommodates up to 4 guests. It includes:
Two bedrooms: one with a king-size bed (can be set up as two twins), the other with a full-size bed

A shared bathroom

An open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area that opens to the garden

A private terrace and a large hammock for lounging

The second cottage, MINI UP!, is a lovely one-bedroom house that sleeps 2. It includes:

A private bathroom

A cozy living/dining area with a fully equipped kitchen that opens to the tropical garden

Together, the two homes comfortably host up to 6 guests, offering the perfect balance between shared spaces and private retreats.
Both homes are built from black laurel hardwood and feature local Bribri artwork, handcrafted décor, and indigo textiles that reflect the cultural essence of the region. You’ll sleep soundly in ultra-comfy beds with high-thread-count cotton sheets and plush pillows.

The main house includes a full oven and four-burner stove, while MINI UP! has a two-burner stove and toaster oven.
You’re just a short walk from the beach, gourmet markets like El Duende, cozy cafés, and fruit stands offering fresh produce, homemade bread, and pipa fría (cold coconut water). Bike rentals across the street make it easy to explore the whole Southern Caribbean coast.
