Not only will you be able to visit historical sites, but you can stay in and enjoy this mid-century, rustic, modern, minimalistic, and unique space!

Lack of communication trying to locate the unit, also safety concerns where the entrance blocked by homeless people, did not check in the unit at all. Stayed in a hotel down the street. No parking available 24 hrs within 2 miles away. Needs to State in the add that the parking is not available it's government building parking garage and it's not open on the weekends and cloes at 7PM. Sorry wouldn't recommend this place.

Great location for convenient dining options and Lincoln attractions. Note there is no parking included. On street parking has two-hour time limits on weekdays. Homeless population in the area made nighttime walks a little uncomfortable. Overall, the building was very safe, incredibly clean and well appointed. Kitchen is an incredible space.

The unit needs some TLC. It seemed "tired". It was fine, but a little attention would improve it immensely. The unit is up a long set of not-so-clean steps. Once inside, it was clean, comfortable, and basically, as pictured. Minor fixes were needed like the toilet roll holder was falling out of the wall and a couple window coverings were missing. It could use fresh paint, but overall, it was absolutely fine. The location was spot on; everything we wanted to see was within walking distance. That said, finding the unit at night was tricky; it's in a plaza area on a closed street so you can not drive up to the unit. Parking is free after 5 and on weekends in every spot in Springfield, so on-street parking is fine overnight, in the evenings, and on weekends. There's a lot near by (Plaza) that costs a max of 7.00 for day time parking which worked well for us. Communication was good but very impersonal; probably a bot, is our guess. We would recommend with the caveats listed.

This place has a fabulous location and is very clean. The host is very responsive and we had a great stay. We would stay here again if we come back to the Springfield area.

The unit is clean but a little tired. Broken hooks on the wall, holes in the ceiling, no closet door. Parking is also an issue. Do not park in the underground lot. It closes at 7 weeknights and closed all weekend.

We arrived at check in time and were unable to park our car in the designated places because they were closed. The communication from the owner was clearly a bot. I was insulted by the lack of human connection and actual help. Kept sending the same link to access parking over and over like i didnt read it. We never keyed in or entered the building. There were locals around that were clearly on drugs and i felt unsafe as well. We do not recommend this place. At all.

Very convenient location. I parked two blocks away in 24 hour public garage next to Wyndham hotel. Only 8 per day. Comfortable apartment. Elevated living room loft area is a fall risk (no railing) for young kids or older adults. Lovely view of Old State Capitol. On check-in - totally inappropriate to require to upload photo of my photo id - this is PII and very risky. Requiring the signing of secondary rental agreement also a big problem in my view - terms and conditions should be standard rental agreement in VRBO. Otherwise, I recommend this property.

Would stay again Stairs Under ground parking- have to pay. Street parked at no charge, the trucks were too big to fit in parking garage.

Great communication from the owner, property was very clean and easy to get to everything. Only issue is parking. We were told we could park underground or on the street. Arrived on Friday during day and less street parking so parked underground. Big mistake. The underground garage is antiquated and does not have a CC reader, so they just close all access on Saturday & Sunday. Luckily we had a friend who worked for the state of Illinois and was able to contact someone in Security who met us two hours later to let our car out. Need better communication on parking and let everyone know NOT to use the garage on the weekend.

The loft was hard to find it’s not on a street it’s on a cross street that has like a cobble stone walkway. So better description of how to find the building would have been nice.Also there were so many homeless people out front any time of the day that we were coming and going. The out side smelled of urine so bad and trash everywhere. Once we entered the loft it was old and musty smelling. I get it’s an old building but those smells can be fixed. In the living room there was a sheet up over one of the windows and in the master bedroom the carpet was dirty with stains and there’s was again a large blanket for a window covering that was so large it broke the curtain clips on the rod. I t was fine for the time we were there but I would not ever go back.

Perfect spot for our visit to Springfield

We really enjoyed our stay! The rental is in a great location for walking to multiple historical/tourist sites and was spacious and comfortable for my two teens and myself. Definitely would book again if I return to Springfield.

Great location to BOS center

We were in town for the Illinois FFA convention and it was a great place to stay with a small group. The only down side was that there was no parking right there and the parking at the old capitol building was expensive. There were also a few towels that had stains on them but other than that it was very clean. They have a chest in there that has lots of supplies so if you forgot something they could have had it.

Awesome place

Really enjoyed this place. It was spacious, clean, and close to any place you might want to go downtown. Lots of fun little amenities and felt very cozy. I would definitely book here again! Thanks also to the great host for clear communication and being very responsive.

Home away from home

I love this property, it’s second time that I have had the privilege to stay for the majority of the spring. The property owners are responsive and wonderful to work with. Clean, spacious, well maintained.
