Lovely house

We enjoyed everything about the house except the smell of mold in the first floor bedroom and the heat in the bedrooms. There is an ac in the bedroom on the top floor that works well but isn't fair to the bedrooms downstairs that only have a fan. The fan doesn't get rid of the smell and the ventilation is poor. I certainly recommend a dehumidifier to remove the moisture in the rooms on first floor and an ac in the rooms so that all guests may be comfortable. Aside from that, the house was clean, secure, comfortable and cozy. We loved the house.

Great Space & Location!!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at Casa Ylang!! It is a great space for socializing while meals are being prepared- whether you're hanging out in the hammock, enjoying a cold glass of wine on the porch, playing the board games, or entertaining the chef while meals are being prepped. We LOVED the close proximity of the beautiful beaches, and really enjoyed being "serenaded" by the wildlife during the night through our windows. The windows all have screens, but we would have liked screens on the outer doors too, however, because there are many windows, we didn't feel closed in; it is bright, airy, and we didn't experience any mosquitos inside, despite being there during the Costa Rican rainy season!!! The stores and restaurants are a short drive away, so we enjoyed a combination of eating some delicious Caribbean food at the lovely local restaurants, and also feeling at home with some familiar, festive home-cooking....!!!Thank you Casa Ylang. We will be back!!!!!

El alojamiento perfecto si vas con familia y mascotas

Casa Ylang es una casa espaciosa, amplia y muy segura si vas con mascotas. Su ambiente familiar y sus espacios de relajación escuchando el sonido de la naturaleza, hizo de nuestra estadía algo muy ameno. A pesar de tener aire acondicionado solo en el cuarto principal, nos sorprendió la manera en que la casa se sentía fresca en todo momento. Definitivamente volveríamos a visitarla en otra oportunidad, disfrutamos mucho esta estadía. Si bien la limpieza estaba muy bien, se notaba que la casa no había sido rentada en un tiempo. A pesar de estar limpia, sería conveniente revisar mejor ciertos espacios antes de la llegada de los huéspedes (encontramos algunas cucarachas y otros insectos muertos al llegar). Además, un poco de mantenimiento al piso de madera estaría espectacular, la casa es lindísima pero se nota el desgaste del tiempo.

La casa es muy cómoda , las camas y almohadas muy bien. La ubicación nos gustó por estar cerca del centro pero alejados del ruido. La iluminación del jardín y de la entrada a la casa, para poder abrir la puerta tuvimos que usar la linterna del celular. La ducha exterior debería tener un camino a la casa para no volver a ensuciarme los pies con el barro. Y toallas de mano debería haber una por persona .

Nos encanto el espacio, estilo, utensilios, ubicacion, y distribucion dentro de la casa. Es preciosa la casa. No hay iluminacion en el area de parqueo, y no encontramos como encender mas luces afuera de la casa. Hay unos halogenos pero no sirven.

Definitivamente nuestro requerimiento fué cubierto y superó las expectativas del buen trato y exc servicio. Nos colaboraron de maravilla en cuanto a lo que buscábamos. Sin duda alguna y con toda confianza recomiendo a Casas del Caribe para estancia de descanso y o trabajo. Relación, Precio-Calidad insuperables. El único detalle de mejora, sería que al menos aumenten una hora más al ingreso. Considero muy adecuado y lo más conveniente, poder hacer ingreso 2pm. Sería la única observación que podrían quizá tomar en consideración.

La casa es muy cómoda y muy bien equipada, la refri un poco pequeña para el tamaño de la casa. Todo muy bien, lo único es que en el anuncio pareciera que toda la casa tiene aire acondicionado, o al menos todas las habitaciones y solo la habitación principal cuenta con aire acondicionado. Por lo demás todo excelente y el trato de las personas de Casas del Caribe es excelente. Muchas gracias por todo Poner aire acondicionado en todas las habitaciones

Propiedad hermosa, una casa amplia y bella. Excelente servicio! Parece haber animales metidos entre el techo y la madera de los closets de la segunda y primer planta, hacen un ruido terrible, se escuchan como uñas rasgando la madera, en la madrugada nos despertaron varias veces chillando, eso fue realmente incomodo, seria bueno que lo revisen.

Nos encantó la zona verde que presenta, le da una gran presencia a la hermosa casa, su interior es muy bello y cómodo . Se siente mucha paz y también adoramos el sonido de las diferentes aves que se acercan al amanecer. En la cobertura y calidad de wifi, creemos que para algunos momentos de descanso y realizar algunos revisiones generales en la computadora o celular, es necesario que exista una mejor calidad de ello

Amazing Experience

We loved the property ! Location was amazing . Close to beach ! We rented bicycles and it was about an 8 minute bike ride . Only inconvenience we had was not enough towels for the week stay . Lol ! We had to do laundry . All and all we loved the property!

Need a lot of work. Would not recommend.

It was one good thing about that house. It's proximity to the very quiet and beautiful beach. Communication with the office was almost flawless. Still waiting for the refund of the deposit. The house is spacious, was clean when we arrived. The house: -Needs a new AC, smells like urine when it works; has some broken parts. -No windows screens in the living room/kitchen -Needs new lights at the main level; cleaning of fans. Very dark at night. Some light fixtures hanging on the wires. It is a safety hazard issue. -No TV or DVD player. -One of the closest had dirty linens from previous stay. It had electric panel open with wires hanging out. -The fridge has some issues. It is very loud and freezes products even at the bottom. -All linen was old and had stains. Mattresses are very firm and old. -The low level shower did not have enough water pressue to take showers. The plastic shower base has a crack. I guess some water goes through the floor all time. -Walls need some paint. Stains and scratches are everywhere. -The internet is very slow because of a super cheap tiny modem and USB wifi stick. I had to use my phone all time. -There is no way you can use the outside of the house. Water stays around the house after rains and tons and tons of mosquitos are everywhere. It is a real problem there.

Many thanks Andrew for your review. We really take into consideration comments from guests as it is the only way to get better. Our cleaning, maintenance and gardening teams are already on that! Regarding the refund of the security deposit, the amount was blocked on your credit card and then was cancelled 3 days after your check-out so there is no real refund on your bank account. Also, The house has a basic internet which is quite stable (nice in the jungle) and enough speed for basic activities. As I told you while you were here, we do have a lounge at the office where you can get free high speed wifi.

Very comfortable

We stayed with our grown-up family in Feb/Mar 2015 and found the house quiet and relaxing. It is big and spacious, and pleasantly cool when the shutters are open, except for the upstairs bedroom which gets hot during the day - but this room has air con if you need it. We found that overnight that bedroom cools and we never used the air con., just the fans was enough. Our favourite space was the verandah, which has plenty of room and is shaded - a lovely place to enjoy looking at the trees and birds whatever the weather. Kitchen and bathroom facilities are all fine and the management made sure we had wifi. The location is good if you prefer to be away from the hustle and bustle of Puerto Viejo, which can generally be reached by walking along the beautiful Playa Negra beach (depending on the tide!) The local facilities are great. the Point is ten minutes walk away, on the beach, and does good food and great beers. The Banana Azul hotel is just a few minutes away, also on the beach, and is very happy to welcome casual visitors to use its bar, its super restaurant and other facilities (eg bikes and beach loungers) - you can have the best of both worlds, home and hotel! We all had a great time and will definitely go back.

misleading house description

we booked the house for 5 nights. the house is misleadingly described as having AC and WIFI. please note: the house does not have AC. only a single bedroom has AC (top bedroom). the windows does not have mosquito nets, the ceiling is very high with very small ventilators, which makes the house extremely hot and impossible to stay. be ware of this company (caribe sure - property management) reservation and cancellation policy. they charged us in advance but refunded only half although we did not stay in the property at all, not even one night. when we got there, the AC did not work and there was no WIFI. the owner of caribe sure - manual was very unfriendly and unpleasant, and i would strongly advice anyone to keep away from the properties he manganese.

Thank You for taking the time to review this property. Unfortunately, I have to point out that despite the minor discrepancies that were immediately rectified, you choose to not stay in the house. I am confirming that the house is advertised with AC. Within the description, it clearly states that the master bedroom has an AC unit. We will change the features to be more cleared in order to avoid any confusion in future. The house is not advertised as having screened windows. This claim is wrong. It is correct that upon arrival the A/C and wifi were not working at check-in but we immediately rectified the problem. For these minor inconveniences, we offered you 1 free night's stay and a $100 refund on your deposit. You simply did not like the house - and did not have any desire for us to rectify, as a professional property manager would do, any minor deficiencies. Our cancellation policy is clearly stated on all sites and on renter's reservation confirmation email: OUR CANCELLATION POLICY If you find it necessary to cancel your reservation, we charge a $50 cancellation fee. We will refund the balance of your deposit, less any banking fees, within 2 weeks of your request. If you cancel within 60 days of your reservation date or no show, no refund is available. Should you arrive and not stay the length of your reservation, no refund is available. We made every attempt to satisfy you, including offering the first night AND one extra night free of charge. You declined any offer. Finally, people can easily understand that we can not refund the whole amount paid in order to book the house ($200) so we gave you back $100.

Casa Arosfa

I visited Casa Arosfa with my family for 4 four days and it was a wonderful vacation.The House is very confortable and new and you can find there everything you need. Its a perfect place to go with children. The beach is very close and safe for children, you can play soccer in the beach. We had a problem with the fridge and Shialo was very nice and help us very quick. Excellent customer service!!. My next vacations will be there!
