6 weeks of relaxation

The property was great and the location was perfect for us. 1.5 miles from the Withlacoochee Trail. Chris was a great host and we look forward to coming back.

Beyond wonderful!

We arrived early morning and the property owner called us and made sure we were getting taken care of. The property was very clean, warm and inviting. They provided something for every age group to do while vacationing in the home. If we ever return for vacation we will absolutely stay here again. Thank you! The Smitley Family!

The owner said there is a hot tub and there is not! Salt and pepper shakers were empty and the most uncomfortable couch you will ever sit on. Pool sticks are crooked, no dresser/chest of drawers in bedrooms, washer machine smelled so bad of mildew I about fell over . It took me two days of cleaning it before I could use it. He watch’s and listens on camera the whole time your outside .While taking a shower his septic back up into bathtub while I was in there and standing in raw sewage. House was uninhabitable at that point. We left I notified him and he has now made several false claims and has file a fraudulent insurance claim on the policy I took out before I stayed there. He owes me for four nights stay! He is trying to get even more money from me. I would never stay at his home again.

Warning to all Property owners: Don’t not rent to this guest! Her negligence resulted in $30,000 in restoration costs after she flooded our home. Despite not sending a message about plumbing issues, she decided to leave 4 days before her check out date forfeiting those nights to avoid having to pay for the damages. She claimed to have 3” well trained dogs” but brought 4 when she only paid for 3 leaving dog hair all over the house , removing the couch covers and causing damage. One of the dogs chewed the door frame, which she attempted to spray paint to cover her tracks. She also attempted to spray paint something else leaving spray paint on our game room table. Her dog peed through sheets and mattress protectors staining the actual mattress . She falsely claimed the property was uninhabitable, yet left it flooded with sewage in the tub and six soaked towels on the bathroom floor, resulting in a bug infestation. Her complaints about minor issues like salt and pepper shakers and crooked pool sticks are baseless. The property was fully renovated from top to bottom including plumbing and all in 2023 and has excellent reviews from other guests. Her claim about smelly washer is likely due to her putting sewage soaked towels in it so that she can use it to re clean her mess, she states that she damn near passed out from the smell but didn’t have a problem showering in it. Additionally, her assertion about hot tub is completely unfounded , as our listing makes no mention of it and there are pictures on the listing of what the rooms have for our guest no where on there does it show dressers or chest of drawers but we do have built in wire drawers in the closets for clothes storage. Her reviews are inaccurate and misleading. Regarding the cameras we have two which are listed in the airbnb listing and on vrbo as they are for the safety of our guests and the security of our home like for instance the damage she just caused. We have no interest in any conversations guests may be having, nor would we ever invade anyone’s privacy. The accusation is completely unfounded. We did everything we could to accommodate her stay. We provided her with early check in for free and responded to questions that was posted in the guest book inside the home and on the fridge, we allowed more dogs then we anticipated which she only paid for 3 , she never said anything about a plumbing issues, had that been the case on day one of the incident we would've had our plumber come out and fix it instead she kept flushing wipes down the toilet when in the bathroom alone it said don't flush nothing but toilet paper down there and that is what caused the back up. Owners beware this guest is not worth the trouble.
