Smokey Mountain Getaway - Amazing Views - Family Friendly

At 3400 feet The Best Nest is located on beautiful Conley Mountain and offers amazing Mountain Views. Facing North West you can enjoy near panoramic views of Smokey’s and GSNP, with sunsets.
Pond directly below property is fed by 13+ natural springs. Fishing allowed.
An authentic Smokey Mountain setting inside private community. Come relax and experience peace and tranquility while being close proximity to world famous parks, numerous trails, rivers, and mountain towns.

2000+ square feet, 4 bedroom, 3 full baths, 7 beds, 1.5 acres, artisan carpentry work with lumber and stone from Conley Mountain.

Ideal for large group or multi-generational family. Private master suite and private deck. Booster chair, pack and play, and stroller are available. First floor can be accessed by 3 stairs with rail and has 2 bedrooms, 2 full bath, kitchen, etc all easily accessible. The living room, bedroom, full bath and loft are on second floor

Accessible yard with fire pit and walking trail, yard toys, and fishing pond below.

Private gravel road is used to climb Conley mountain about 1 mile. 4 wheel drive is recommended, but the majority of our guests and neighbors manage fine without.

Pristine mountain spring water for entire house. Great area to hike, explore, and enjoy the Smokies. Constantly changing scenery at every elevation.

Abundant wildlife and native plants, near Nantahala game-lands which are 1.5 million acres of wilderness.

Smokey Mountain Country Club is located at bottom of Conley Mountain and has 18 hole course with scenic views and meandering creeks.

I highly recommend the Best Nest. This home had everything we needed and then some. I have to say Gene, the owner, was a champ! We lost power due to a downed tree in the middle of the night. Once i called, Gene responded immediately, contacted the power company and kept us informed. So many blankets had been provided with the house, that we never felt the cold and power was restored in about 3 hours. I can't say enough good things about Best Nest... clean, private, well stocked and the views were amazing. A all the way.

The pictures DO NOT do this home justice! Absolutely perfect stay. They’ve covered all the basics… bed sheets and towels … cozy blankets… lots of pillows! The PERFECT views!! Seating areas and very comfortable beds! Just bring your AWD up the mountain. 10/10

Great for our girls trip

The house was clean and perfect for our small group. The view from the home is gorgeous! Wasn’t totally prepared for the drive up to the house but it was manageable. Would not recommend doing it for the first time in the rain but we made it! There were a couple quirks with the house itself we didn’t love, like there being open spaces above two of the bedroom doors on the first floor. There was no real privacy for the people sleeping in those rooms. We didn’t love that, made it hard to use the kitchen early in the morning or late at night without bothering people sleeping. Gene answered all of our questions and was a great host. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and had a wonderful time, thank you!

Spring break fun.

Beautiful house and great views. We enjoyed the privacy and quiet. Gravel road to the house was longer than I expected but in the end I think it was still worth it for the view and beauty. Wished we could have had a fire in the fire pit by unfortunately burn ban in the area at the time of our stay.

Good for what we needed

His house is in a beautiful area and reasonably close to Nantahala, Smoky Mountains, and other cute little towns. Was also somewhat close to a grocery store, which was convenient.The house was well stocked with linens, included shampoo, soap, and conditioner in the bathrooms. The house was very clean. I could not tell from the pictures, but the kitchen is actually on the first floor and the only living space is on the second floor, which made it challenging to spend time altogether when someone was cooking.The beds were very firm which we didn’t find super comfortable, but was our preference.The kitchen was stocked well with silverware and plates, but definitely needed some additional pots and pans. Based on the location of this cabin, I would imagine most people would be cooking in and need to utilize the kitchen pretty heavily. We had a couple questions while we were there, and the host was super responsive. I’m not sure I would stay there again based on the kitchen location, but it worked out OK for our stay this time.

Perfect Holiday Getaway

The property was lovely. The views were gorgeous and there was plenty of space for the whole family to meet. The kitchen was stocked spacious enough for us to make a Christmas feast and there were multiple indoor and outdoor gathering areas. Gene, the host, was very responsive and available anytime I had questions. He even surprised us with a complimentary early check-in that was greatly appreciated. My family and I had a wonderful stay and would love to return someday.

Long weekend stay for the Polar Express

The house was beautiful and so was the view! Everything was clean and in order. We really enjoyed our stay. My only concern was the 1.5 mile gravel drive going up to the property. We had some spinning in our Honda Odyssey, but my parents had no problems in their Subaru. Overall I would highly recommend!

Great Home for Family Getaway

The house was beautiful with amazing views! We had plenty of room with 6 adults and 3 kids. The host, Gene, was incredibly helpful and responsive! The kids loved the the loft and having their own space to hang out, and we all enjoyed the 2nd level porch. We would love to stay at the house again!
