Welcome to your ultimate mountain retreat! This spacious and inviting log home is designed to attract seasonal or monthly guests seeking a charming getaway upstate. Snow Nirvana is truly your home away from the city, complete with a dedicated workspace for remote work. Nestled in a picturesque location, you'll be treated to stunning views of the mountains, valleys, and ski slopes, all while enjoying the luxury and convenience of this beautifully appointed residence.

Starting in 2025, this brand-new log home will be available for occupancy. Located just seven miles from Windham Ski Resort and three miles from Hunter Ski Resort, it sits near the end of Eagles Nest Road, at the very top of the mountain. Imagine a Swiss ski lodge hidden on a sprawling 5-acre estate at the mountain's summit, surrounded by thousands of acres of pristine private wilderness. A private porte-cochère welcomes you upon arrival, providing a sense of exclusivity from the moment you step in.

Every room in this sanctuary boasts breathtaking views of Hunter Mountain's slopes. Unwind or work out in your own 16-foot heated Aspen Swim Spa/hot tub while soaking in the stunning vistas. Stay active in the free weight gym, enjoy a steam in one of the steam showers, challenge friends to a game of pool, or shoot some hoops. For relaxation, gather around the impressive wood-burning fireplace with a Samsung Art/Frame TV, or enjoy music through Sonos and Bluetooth speakers.

The lower level is perfect for kids and teenagers, featuring a 75-inch TV, steam shower, and weight room. Just outside the sliding doors, you’ll find the swim spa, hot tub, and fire pit, all easily visible from the upper adult levels.

If you have a culinary enthusiast in your group, they'll love the open kitchen equipped with double filtered water, a 48-inch Thor double gas range, a complete appliance package, a Wolf toaster, a Cuisinart coffee grinder/maker, a Weber gas grill, a Raclette/Fondue oven, a food dehydrator, a Ninja air fryer, and a pod Keurig, among other amenities.
DISCLAIMERS: Pool Cover is heavy at times and may require 2 people to slide off and on . If it's a dry (usually July or August) the well takes time to recover as you are at the top of a 2200' hill. well is 600 feet and storage tanks start at 800 gallons. They constantly refill but very slow in the dry season. We had a group of 16 that tried to take 16 showers at the same day and they used all 800 gallons. space then during dry season!

We prefer monthly or seasonal rentals, offering a special deal: stay for a month at the cost of just 20 days. Our goal is to introduce the property to groups through weekly rentals, with the hope that they may wish to return for longer stays in the future. New York City and Westhampton Beach and travel frequently, we can only enjoy Snow Nirvana for a few months each year. We share our other homes with repeat guest in a similar fashion. Unfortunately the plumbing wasn't operational when we arrived at the property. The home utilizes a well-water system and upon arrival, there was no water in the holding tanks to support our group. We attempted to troubleshoot the issue with the owner, however they were not locally available and outside of some general guidance, they were not overly helpful. While we were able to turn on the well-pump, the well-water was simply unable to keep up with the demand of our group and so we weren't able to use toilets, run faucet water or shower at certain points during our stay. Not having running water for this type of property and at that price is inexcusable. Our group almost vacated the property after our first night to go to a hotel. While the property and home is very nice, you simply must have operational plumbing if you pay a premium for that type of luxury accommodation. I contacted the host to request a 50% refund (or write this review), which I believe to be reasonable, and he responded that the request is extortion.

Thank you for staying with us, and I'm glad the group enjoyed the home and property. I do want to set the record straight for future guests. The house is supplied by a 600-foot well and 800 gallons of water storage, ​(​I have uploaded a photo to the advertisement and added this in notes for clarity) a system that​ has served every previous group without issue. During your stay, an outdoor faucet was left running, which gradually drained the storage tanks. As soon as you reported the problem, I walked you through the troubleshooting steps by phone, and you confirmed that ​:everything was working again​". To be certain, I also sent our well company out on an emergency weekend call at my own expense. They inspected the system and confirmed it was ​"fully operational​". Apart from that call, my only other contact with this group concerned timing. Members of the party arrived several hours before check-in and asked for early access, and on departure day they were still at the property three hours after checkout time. We accommodated both requests. No refund was requested during the stay. The request came only after checkout, and it came with a condition: pay 50% or receive a negative review. I declined,​ as I consider this extortion and it violates the platform's review policy. Our response to the problem was immediate and thorough, and the cause was outside our control. A great house, but it was not prepared for our arrival. Notified Robb of seven large boxes on driveway outside front door, they remained there untouched during our seven day stay. We used four empty, overturned ceramic planters to sit on every night around the fire. Proper chairs were in unopened boxes out front!Construction material was left next to fire pit and on an old wooden picnic table nearby, under lower deck.Discovered an abundance of mouse droppings on the floor (next to wall) under bed from nightstand to nightstand, also a block of some type of poison and a mouse glue strip that appeared to be there for some time. Cleaner did not arrive by late the next afternoon so I used broom, dustpan and disinfectant to clean. Droppings in other rooms had to be cleaned and disinfected. Mouse droppings were stuck to bottom of rug next to bed.Digital control box in basement steam/shower was hanging from wall. Handheld shower attachment in main floor bathroom did not work. My wife has RA, sits in shower and would normally use the attachment. Several attempts by different family members could not get it to work.Kitchen refrigerator ice maker did not work. No hot water in kitchen sink. Ran out of water during the week and had to wait 6 hours to regain use. Again on last day.Torn hot tub lid cover caused it to be filled by rain water and almost too heavy for three men to lift.Robb offered 500 rebate to 12,177 paid. No response to our request for 10% rebate (1,217).

Thank you for your review. I'm glad you enjoyed the house, and I'm sorry parts of your stay fell short. Here is some context for future guests. Cleaning. The home was cleaned and ready when you arrived. Our crew had seen a mouse and put down bait, our policy. The house is remote, the crew needed about 24 hours to return. I appreciate your patience. Chairs. I assumed the delivered boxes were cleaning supplies and didn't realize our eight new Adirondack chairs had arrived early. They have since been assembled. Folding canvas chairs are always available in the closets and garage. Water. The well system supplies about 950 gallons at a time and then refills gradually. We added 800 gallons of storage for large groups. A dedicated under-sink water heater for the kitchen is part of our 2027 upgrades. Showers. A guest pulled the basement steam shower control panel off the wall. The shower itself works, as do the other two steam showers. One handheld shower head was out of order, but three others are available, including one in the tub in the same bathroom. Ice. The refrigerator ice maker works, and a second standalone ice maker is in the blue pantry.​ Swim spa cover. It does need replacing now. Because the spa is 16' x 8', the replacement cover must be special ordered. It's on order, and we expect it before ski season. Until then, the cover slides onto the north deck. I offered a credit in good faith when you raised your concerns. Thank you again for staying with us.

Gorgeous, peaceful, immersed in natural beauty. This mountaintop house lies in a clearing in the woods, surrounded by massive rocks and gorgeous woods. When we stayed, the clearing around the house was filled with purple and white wildflowers in every direction. Chipmunks scamper about and, if you’re lucky, you can even spot the shy deer and bear. We spent a lot of time in the immense hot tub, which is approximately three times the size of normal hot tub and is positioned so you enjoy a superb view while you soak. The cover is heavy, so have 2 people on hand to cover/uncover it.Inside, the house is superb and well maintained. Excellent layout for a large group plus dogs, full of creature comforts including lots of comfy seating, nice cookware, really great stove/oven/kitchenware, lovely, unique tilework in the bathrooms. Plenty of space, easy controls for temperature, many windows and balconies with comfy seating to admire the surrounding nature.Due to local drought during our stay, we had the unfortunate surprise that the water ran out. But the owner was super-quick to respond; he sent a very nice plumber (who also told us about a great local lake for swimming) to confirm it was not a mechanical issue. And the owner then monitored the issue and compensated us for the inconvenience. The location is great for exploring all that the Catskills has to offer—many small towns with lots to see, excellent hiking, beautiful arboretum, restaurants. We hope to return soon!
