Beautiful Place to Stay

Wonderful Stay

Shay was amazing. She was easy to reach out to and communication was excellent. A day after the crew arrived, they realized they could not get the stove to work and Shay was right there to enlighten us on how to use it. The guys that were staying said they neighborhood was pleasant. The apartment was very nice. Shay did greet the guys through the Ring Doorbell upon their check in which made them feel comfortable and secure.

Quiet pretty neighborhood

Conveniently located 20 minutes from the airport and close to downtown Hartford, this second story rental is also near a Stop and Shop for groceries, an Italian bakery with awesome cannolis, and a foresty park with pickup basketball and soccer and picnicking. The friendly host responds quickly to messages. By taking advantage of the windows for a cross breeze in the early evening, then alternately using the ceiling fans and the window a/c units in the bedrooms, you can make the upstairs comfortably cool at night. Clean and spacious, provides most basic kitchen items, a great home base from which to explore Hartford and the surrounding communities.

Beware... upstairs apartment

This is an older, charming upstairs apartment in need of some loving care. No place in the description of this property did it state that it was upstairs. We would not have booked it had we known. We didn't appreciate having to carry luggage up a flight of stairs. It was sparsely furnished. It's a three bedroom space and we assumed it would be outfitted for six people. There wasn't adequate seating; only a couch in the living room that would seat three and only four places at the dining room table. There were only four flatware settings as well. Lots of plates but only three bowls and not enough glasses. You couldn't cook in this kitchen; no mixing bowls, measuring cups or spoons. Also no dishwasher. There was one roll of toilet paper and1/2 container of hand soap. There were no bathroom hand towels or kitchen towels. Only one cheap, thin blanket per bed (three) with no extras. We only found one smoke detector in the dining room and no carbon monoxide detectors. We switched around light bulbs as the one in the bathroom was out. All of the following were listed in the amenities but weren't there: hair dryer, shampoo, iron, safe, first aid kit, fire extinguisher, kids dinnerware. We would definitely not stay here again for the lack of furnishings, upstairs location and not very clean.

Hello We have read your concerns as this was not brought to our attention. There were extra toiletries in the bathroom in the linen closet with extra toilet tissue, towels & wash cloths, etc. The first aid kit is located in the living room as the fire extinguisher is in the kitchen. The kitchen also comes fully equipped with all the essential tools needed to cook. We apologize that you were unhappy but if you were to reach out during your stay , we could have resolved any concerns you may have had. The smoke detector and CO2 is also a 2 in 1 device to detect both smoke and Co2.
