Come and enjoy the Hot tub, if your soar from the normal day to day relax in the massage chair, Or just spend some quiet time on the porch swing. Bring the kids there’s a rec room down stairs with foosball and air hockey we have board games and a television. We are only a few miles down from St. Joe Park where there’s 3 lakes for swimming and fishing also atv and trails to hike and not far from town where there’s many restaurants and shops and a water park for the kids

A delightful house and property

We’re staying here with the extended family for the days leading up to the eclipse. It was perfect for us and the kids and we are so grateful that we found it last minute!

Private, clean and quiet

Our group had a lovely time at the cabin, it is completely private with no other homes in sight. We enjoyed the hot tub, had fires in the firepit, and cooked great meals in the kitchen. We'll definitely stay here again when we explore this part of the state.

Wonderful!

The cabin was lovely, very clean, and updated. We loved hanging out on the porches surrounded by beautiful trees. The owner and property manager were extremely attentive to our needs. It was a great stay!

Great cabin in the woods

Everyone loved our too short stay. We were in town for a family event and weren't able to enjoy the property to its fullest, but will definitely return in the future to take advantage of the hot tub, extensive grounds, and fire pit. Everything was as described online and getting in, even as late as we arrived, was easy. Excellent experience.

Great place!

We stayed the weekend with our family and my sister-in-laws family. It was a great size for all of us and loved the location! We were able to drive 10 minutes into town for the store, coffee shop and restaurants. It was so secluded yet not far from everything. The state park is also only minutes from the house. Our family loved this place and could definitely see us coming back!

Perfect Getaway

Tucked away from the noise, this rustic yet tastefully decorated cabin has all the features any glamper could want. From the firepit to the hot tub, the game room to the massage chair, and that sweet bathtub upstairs, relaxation meets adventure. I’d like to go every weekend. Just what I needed.

Amazing cabin with modern amenities

My fiancé and I had a wonderful time at our stay this weekend. We brought our dog and relaxed with all of the amazing amenities provided including board games, hot tub, soaking tub, and a smart tv. We cooked all of our meals and had everything we needed in the kitchen. Just a short drive to trails, swimming, and stores, a great location while still far away from other houses and having lots of privacy. The host was easy to contact and the place was very clean. Cannot recommend this cabin enough, and we will definitely be making this a regular stay!

Large home for two families

Other than the lack of communication from the host, we loved this property. It had almost everything we needed. It does only have 1 shower so that was tricky with 8 people but we made it work. It also didn't have a garbage disposal and we mostly cooked and ate there when we weren't going to Johnson Shut-Ins and Elephant Rock State Park. The location and atmosphere were perfect and the kids loved the hot tub!

Total peacefulness

We were staying in the area for a kayak trip and wineries. We were able to totally relax in this beautiful home. It was remote enough, but close enough to town if we needed something. We spent a lot of time on the back deck enjoying the peace and quiet. The massage chair was a welcome treat after the day of kayaking. We did go into town to purchase 2 fans to use in the upstairs bedrooms, it was pretty warm up there, it was upper 90s the first couple of days. The host was available to answer any questions we had. Highly recommend. We didn't want to leave.

My three old friends and I had a relaxing, peaceful weekend in this beautiful cabin in the woods. Only the sounds of nature accompanied us as we sat around the fire pit and reminisced. When we first arrived we found out from the owner they’d been made aware of the hot water heater not working as it should. They had maintenance come while we out for dinner, and by the time we got back, everything was fixed and the hot water was fine. It was truly impressive with how swiftly they took care of the issue. There is only one shower, so plan your shower needs accordingly—none of us (four guys) used the soaking tub! It’s a great shower with multiple nozzles on the wall and overhead. The kitchen is well-stocked with plates, cups, utensils, etc. The coffee pot is a combination of carafe and Keurig, so you have options. The WiFi signal was strong all weekend and easy to use. There are multiple decks from which to enjoy the quiet, beautiful nature all around you, but if you have a larger group that wants to congregate on the porches, bring some extra chairs. We thought we’d make use of the game room downstairs, but the weather was so amazing we just soaked up the outdoors. I did, however, make use of the massage chair each day—I highly recommend it. There were plenty of pillows on the bed, but if you are particular about the firmness of your pillow, you might want to pack a few. Everyone said the beds were comfortable (even the bunk beds). We had a great stay and would return.

Extraordinary Private Cabin!

My husband and 3 kids, ages 10-16, and an adult friend stayed here this past weekend and had a wonderful time. The pictures accurately represent the facilities, but the grounds are so amazing it’s hard to capture those in picture. The cabin is rustic but with top of the line appliances and a massage chair that I don’t think stayed empty for more than 10 minutes. Plenty of room for everyone to have a space. It is a cabin meant for togetherness, so be prepared for a bit of noise. The area has several places to hike or bike and as divers we spent a good part of the weekend in nearby Bonne Terre diving the mine. I would love to come back to see this area in all 4 seasons! The only thing that I would recommend is to go ahead and send the renter the information to check in at least that morning of arrival. We were sweating being able to get into the property when we hadn’t received the check-in information by 3:30pm and had spotty cell service. But that all worked out nicely!
