We love this neighbourhood!!
We stayed for 7 nights for a family holiday in this beautiful apartment and it was absolutely perfect for our needs! Number one is the location - couldn't be in a better spot to enjoy the Cihangir. Step out the door and there are so many amazing shops and cafes. We specifically chose the neighbourhood because we wanted to see the cats and we weren't disappointed - out on the streets there is always a delightful furry friend to interact with! It's also such an easy walk downhill to the waterfront and the Karekoy area. Taking a ferry is a must!
The apartment is on the top floor - which makes for wonderful views and an airy, spacious feeling. But as other reviewers have noted - you do need to contend with the stairs. There are also lots of steep hills in the neighbourhood - so it's great exercise!
The terrace is perfect and a huge part of why we chose the place. I loved that the living areas were upstairs and the bedrooms were downstairs. My daughter actually preferred to sleep on the large couch upstairs and it can comfortably sleep an adult - so that increases the available space.
All in all it was an amazing stay. The apartment is clean and well stocked and communication via WhatsApp is easy and convenient. The hosts are very attentive and friendly. I would return to this exact apartment every time I visit Istanbul and I am planning many more visits - we fell in love with this city.
