Beware
* place was filthy (except bedding was clean)- floor was covered with almonds and dirt, poop residue in toilet, urine on toilet, countertops dirty, refrigerator handle torn off, microwave didn’t work.
*listing had two of the bedrooms with two beds- which was needed for our party. All bedrooms had 1 bed in it.
*you can’t park in street on Fridays from 5 am-4 pm and there is only street parking.
*Host will refute everything I write.
We immediately let the host know and sent pictures of the state of the listing and questioned sleeping arrangements.
She said apologized, said she was unable to get the cleaner there until the next day and would give us a discount (no amount discussed) or have VRBO find us a different arrangement. We said we would take the discount and began cleaning. We didn’t want to move as we had 2 toddlers, an infant and a mother with dementia with us and my husband's father’s funeral the next day. Next correspondence was that we would get a full refund and we needed to call VRBO to verify. We found out when we called that the host had cancelled our stay and wanted us to immediately vacate the premise. At one point VRBO got the host on the line as well. The host told my husband she would call the police if we would not vacate immediately. When we explained our side of the story to VRBO, they said that we could stay until VRBO found us other accommodations. As it was now about 7:30 pm. We left the next day after packing up before leaving for the funeral.
