My entire family and I enjoyed ourselves at our stay there.The house is very cozy and comfortable. The beds really stood out with how comfortable they are, we all slept like a baby. So we all gave it 5 stars.

Perfect girls getaway spot.

The front porch was perfect for sipping tea and watching the birds. The beds were comfortable, the decorations adorable and the yard was beautiful. It was close to all the touristy things that we wanted to see, too.

Nice home, very convenient location for what we were doing that weekend. Non-working TV, but host gave a partial refund after 2 weeks.

Early Thanksgiving Get Together

This is our second time to stay in this comfortable house. The location is perfect for us because my brother lives 1.5 miles away. There is plenty of space and the kitchen is pretty well equipped. The owners are quick to respond to any questions. We were very pleased with our experience.

Charming and cozy

We loved our stay here!! The home was clean, well stocked with bedding, towels and dishes, and was in a very convenient location. The outdoor space was also perfect - private and quiet, with plenty of open space for the kids to play. Any questions we had were answered promptly. We will definitely keep this place in mind should we need a place to stay again.

Wonderful Home and Host

We booked this wonderful house for out-of-state family visiting for a wedding. It was a beautiful, peaceful, comfortable home away from home for all. Plenty of room, clean, lovely both inside and out, the perfect place to kick back and relax, and you won’t find a friendlier or more responsive host than Loreen! Definitely at the top of our list next time we have visitors. Thank you so much!

Quiet and peaceful

We absolutely loved staying here in Ovilla. The house was perfect for our family to have their own bedrooms and relax when we needed space. The yards are gorgeous and shade trees helped block some of the hot Texan sun! We enjoyed having a full kitchen and our hosts were so gracious to leave snacks for us when we arrived. We will definitely keep this in mind for a rental the next time we’re in the Waxahachie/Midlothian area as it was so close to everything we needed.

Lovely Country Home

This home was the perfect place for our family weekend together. The property was large, well groomed and had an at-home feel. We not only had a wonderful time in this lovely country home, but really appreciated the added detail of Loreen purchasing snack items that suited our family of five. She went above and beyond, which this day and age, is a rarity. We were so grateful to have had the opportunity to stay here and certainly look forward to renting this gorgeous home again when we are back in the area!

Great location

We were in town for my mother-in-law's funeral. Brett and Loreen had a lovely sympathy card and some treats for us upon arrival. It was very kind and thoughtful. We had the pleasure of meeting Loreen who stopped by to pick up mail. She gave us lots of tips for the area and showed us where to turn an outside light off. The house could use a couple pots and pans. Other than that, we were happy. We enjoyed sitting outside with a cup of tea in the mornings, and a glass of wine in the evening.

A true example of charm and southern hospitality!

My maid of honor and I stayed here over the first weekend of December for just a small girls getaway and we were awed at the incredible hospitality from Loreen and Brett! I have been looking at wedding venues for the past few months and this is definitely the place that fits all of my expectations! We had wanted to stay somewhere outside of Dallas but not far enough that we felt too distanced from the city. The location is perfect! Brett was there to answer any of our questions and was very attentive and paid attention to detail so well! We were greeted with a bottle of wine and cupcakes as well as a tea tray (I prefer tea over coffee and I had mentioned that in our previous conversation). The house is GORGEOUS and Is a wonderful place to relax and unwind at whether it's 2 people or 10 people. I am so excited to book with the Villas again, and hopefully for my wedding!

Beautiful property with gracious hosts

Loreen and her son Brett were fantastic, gracious hosts, who were able to accommodate our stay on very short notice. They greeted us at the property to check us in and give us the tour, and even provided some snacks and food staples -- finding a half-gallon of milk for our use was a welcome relief as we were traveling with a 2.5 year old, saved us a trip to the store. They also made sure we knew that they were available and responsive for the duration of our stay. My wife and I were travelling with our daughter to visit some relatives in the area, and this house ended up being perfect for us due to its layout. The upstairs has 2 smaller bedrooms (one of which we had our daughter sleeping in) and 1 master suite that has an attached living area on the far side with table, couch, and TV, as well as a full bath. It's convenient to be able to put the kid to sleep and retreat to that suite knowing that we won't wake her. We found the location a good balance of rural/quiet but also near to stores, restaurants, etc. We'd love to stay here again on our next visit to the area. Thank you so much Loreen and Brett!

Amazing!!

We stayed here while we were 'home' for Christmas and it was THE most comfortable and relaxing stay. The house is absolutely wonderful and had plenty of room for my family of 5. The grounds were fantastic and we even had a fire pit which we used almost every night. The beds were so comfortable and the area was very quiet. We really enjoyed the sitting room off of the master suite. There is plenty of seating and cozy places to relax around the house both upstairs and down. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook as well as things to help with clean up. It is about a 25 min drive to Dallas/Arlington but very little traffic on the roads going up there and it is very easy to get around. Totally worth the drive to stay in this quaint and quiet setting. This would be a wonderful place for a wedding with beautiful grounds and little decorative things everywhere you look: fountains, arbors, benches and statues. The owner, Loreen, was the best owner I have ever worked with. She made the trip even better! Anything we needed or had questions about she was right there. I highly recommend staying in this house. You will not be disappointed! We will definitely be back!

Antique Wonder

Beautiful home and just as cozy and welcoming as Grandma’s house. We were in awe as we took our first steps inside. The owners left us SEVERAL goodies on the kitchen counter and in the fridge along with a personalized note! Those staple items prevented a trip to the store, so we definitely appreciated it! We lived in Ellis county our entire lives until we moved away about 4 years ago. We came in for my son’s wedding and the house was PERFECT for day visits from family still in the area. During the day we sat on the patio watching the birds, bunnies, and squirrels come and go! One evening we sat in the backyard with the beautiful lighting overhead from tree to tree. We took the kids for a walk to the snow cone stand, played at the park, and finished with live music at the winery. Kid friendly there too! An evening wind down in the claw foot tub was just what was needed before bed! We will definitely be renting again!

Relaxed stay

We rented during our son’s wedding. We had several friends and family all week during the days. It was very relaxing for our family. The house and grounds were clean, and well stocked for whatever we needed. The owners had dropped off some necessities before we arrived that were above and beyond the call. It was a great base for visiting and preparing for a wedding. We’ll be back when our family gathers again.

Peaceful resort for familly

I loved staying in the house while we were in town for my son's wedding. We had lots of family travel from various states. This house was a perfect place for us to meet and enjoy each others company before and after the wedding. The yard is big, and very peaceful. I found myself outside one evening when everyone else was busy just sitting and relaxing and enjoying the sound of nature. Loreen was very helpful and answered any questions we had immediately. I would recommend this property if you are looking for a home away from home or needing a place for friends and family to gather and relax.

Well maintained cuty home. We spent most of the time with our family in Ovilla, but it was nice to come hometo. Loreen was very responsive and helpful. You can't go wrong with this house. we will be back.
