Luxury Riverfront cabin with a HOT TUB! No cleaning fees!

Welcome to Bear Necessities Lodge, a riverfront getaway in the beautiful Poudre Canyon. Listen to the rushing water while you have your morning coffee on the deck or while you stargaze in the hot tub. Fishermen, whitewater rafters, and kayakers can enjoy private access to the Poudre River right from our property! The fireplace will keep you warm and cozy while you watch a movie or read a book. Starlink provides high-speed internet. Only 20 min from the Mishawaka and 20 min to Red Feather Lakes. NO CLEANING FEE!

Guest access:
The entire property is accessible to guests. Please stay on our property though and respect our wonderful neighbors :)

We'll be back!

The "bear necessities" cabin is as advertised! We are four friends from Nebraska, all 76 years old, and we plan a trip every Summer together. This trip was one of our favorites. We love to fish and eat trout, but we didn't discover until our last day that we needed to be using grasshopper fly patterns! But we caught enough trout for a fish fry. The cabin is modern inside, but the owners gave the decor a personal "log cabin touch" that we appreciated. I caught fish right behind the cabin! The cabin is close to the "Glen Echo Lodge" and was totally convenient. We agreed that we will be back.

Fabulous get away from it all experience

Cosy, well-equipped cabin by a river in a beautiful river canyon. Great for fishing, hiking, & wildlife spotting (within reach of Rocky Mountains National Park). Helpful, informative owners - great for couples or families who like wilderness & getting back to nature.

River paradise

Perfect place for our family. We loved having the river just steps from back porch. Enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings after horseback riding, hiking and fishing. BTW, Fishing was great this year. The cabin was very clean, well stocked with basic necessities. 5* for our crew

Great cabin

This cabin was just beautiful and had everything we needed. It is right on the river which makes for a relaxing time sitting on the back porch. The location was perfect for us because it is in the middle if the canyon. The drives to Ft Collins to the east and Lake Agnes to the west were close to the same. Great access to fishing. Would stay again.

Amazing!!

We absolutely loved everything about this place! The host was very gracious and communicative. The cabin was spotlessly clean and spacious. The outside deck was perfect. We sat out there every night and watched the moon rise over the mountain while listening to the rolling river. It couldn’t have been more peaceful and relaxing. The local area is perfect for hiking, fly fishing, and seeing the wildlife. We will definitely be back!!

Nothing says relaxation like sipping a cup of coffee on the deck that overlooks the river or soaking in the hot tub under the stars. From the moment you walk in the front doors you have a view of the beautiful Poudre River. This is one of the newest cabins in the area!
