Antigua Race Week

Wonderfull , exactly as described close to Antigua yacht club with lovely views and very good restaurants every which way you looked. The amazing Pidgeon beach a casual 15 min walk great for swimming and snorkelling. Would highly recommend .

Exactly what we wanted!!

Having been to Antigua before, we knew we wanted to be in that area, but this spot exceeded our expectations. The balcony looking out over the bustling harbour provided endless visual entertainment and awe. The layout fit our needs perfectly and we will definitely be wanting to stay at Cool View Studios next time we're in Antigua.

Oh what a wonderful deck

We so enjoyed our stay. It was the perfect size for us and our two kids (8 and11). The kitchen was perfect for our breakfasts and lunches. The large deck was where we spent a lot of our time as the view was wonderful. Pigeon beach is only a 5 minute walk away and was our favourite beach for snorkelling. Thank you Paola for sharing your corner of paradise!

Great location

The property is in a wonderful location overlooking Falmouth harbour with a balcony which is great for relaxing. Highly convenient for restaurants, shops, English Harbour and a short walk to the beach. Overall the apartment is a bit tired and could benefit from some renovation. However, we had a lovely time and appreciated helpful and prompt communications with Paola the host.

It is exactly like the description and pictures. A beautiful view of the harbour with luxury yachts coming and going. It is a little dated but has everything you need to cook some meals, the bed is comfortable and the bathroom/shower are clean. There are a choice of restaurants close by and Pigeon Point beach is a little walk or short drive away. We enjoyed our week there and wouldn’t hesitate to come back again.

Hatbour view, right in the action.

Kitchen clean and complete, bed comfy, bathroom functional, shower lovely. View from deck A+, Pidgeon beach up then down the hill. Grocery and restaurents all in walking distance, property is hilly. Saturday night music was a bit loud from the bar, but the music was good and it didnt bother me. Monday and Tuesday nights were very quiet.

Very quaint and laid back...

I love boats and this appartment was a very pleasant surprise. The view from the verandah on the harbor is splendid, especially at night. The apartment is very quaint and shadowed from the midday sun which makes it very comfortable. Two beaches are very close by. Within walking distance you can find everything you might need in terms of provisions, bars, restaurants, car rental and buses to St-Johns. Nelson's Dockyard which I found a great place to go to and relax over a drink or a coffee is also very close. All in all, can't wait to be back... Thank you Paola ! Janie & Pierre

A room with a view

'Cool View' is just that. You never tire of sitting on the deck, sipping your cocktail, and watching life unfold in the harbor. The studio condo, though small, is attractively decorated, and even has a small tv for those who can't get away from it all. The owner, Paola Vittori, is very laid back but enormously hospitable. The location (and it always comes down to location) is perfect, with its view of the harbor, Sugarloaf and Signal Mountains, its proximity to Pigeon Beach, and the bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. There is also Nelson's Dockyard, a pleasant stroll away, with its buildings and history. I have spent five months in Antigua over the last four years and highly recommend 'Cool View' for someone wishing to vacation in Antigua.

The price/value is right for this quaint spot. it is located within a short walk from dozens of restaurants and has a terrific view of Falmouth Harbor.

Antiquaaahhh!

Perfect location- wonderful view. Everything we needed. Paola responded to any requests immediately. Only on our last night was there loud music from the Yacht Club area that kept us awake. Otherwise than that it was great and highly recommend this property. We hope to come back next year!

Great little apartment in the heart of English Harbour

The property was exactly as described and the location just above the Yacht Club is wonderful. The view of the harbour from the balcony of all the incredible yachts is perfect. The balcony is a good size for two people, and is shady throughout the day. The studio apartment itself is spacious, comfortable and airy - no air conditioning, but with windows on three sides plus plenty of electric fans, we found it perfectly comfortable (and I am not great with heat). The kitchen equipment is basic but adequate in terms of cooking utensils, but the fridge is large and with a good sized freezer compartment. The bed was super comfy - the memory foam mattress topper was fabulous for us, especially as we both suffer from bad backs. When we booked, we were warned there might be some noise due to sailing events taking place which didn't put us off at all, and in truth, the noise was absolutely fine - this apartment's location gives you a general 'buzz' of life going on around the harbour, which is what we wanted. There was music from a couple of local venues on several nights, but this didn't bother us at all and most nights it finished around 11.30pm anyway. Earplugs were provided, but we didn't feel the need to use them at all, rather enjoyed soaking up the atmosphere. In honesty, the tree frogs are louder than any of the music, and they are a joy to listen to. This was our third visit to Antigua, always around the Falmouth/English Harbour area. We have stayed in different accommodation each time, but this visit wanted to spend two weeks right in the heart of EH. This apartment allowed us to do this and I would thoroughly recommend this lovely accommodation. Paola's communication was prompt and helpful, and her housekeeper, Christophine, was lovely, bringing fresh flowers when she cleaned and changed linen and towels halfway through our stay. She even brought me some flowers on Valentine's day - which is more than hubby did (just joking, darling, a holiday in Antigua definitely beats a bunch of flowers!). Thanks Paola for letting us stay in your great studio apartment.

Great location - amazing view!

Such a lovely place to call home after long days at the Antigua Boat Show! My host Paola made it even better by ensuring that I had everything that I needed for my stay (extra water & small snacks) which is such a nice touch. Yes, there is a bit of loud music from AYC parties, but good earplugs and the fans going ensured that it didn't interrupt my sleep. Plus they were done by 12-1AM, and only 3 of the 5 nights I stayed. It was not a problem (and I am a somewhat light sleeper) - also, my host made this plain to me before I booked. I appreciated her honesty. Plenty of fans to bring the outside in, no A/C (which I prefer!). All in all it is a cute respite - a good place to relax and unwind. I walked easily to Pigeon Beach although the hill home is a bit steep, bring water! All in all, you would be wise to stay with Paola & her Cool View Studio. XO I'll be back.

Wonderful

We had a lovely holiday staying at Cool View. It’s location was superb overlooking Falmouth Harbour. The apartment was well equipped and although it didn’t have a TV as stated Poala went to great trouble to provide us with a Tablet The location was great -close to shops, restaurants , bars and Nelson Dockyard. Most of all I must mention how responsive Poala was to all my texts which made the booking process faultless.. Thank you for a great holiday!!!!

Fantastic spot

We have had the most brilliant time here! So many beautiful beaches to explore. The restaurants in the area are all brilliant- spoilt for choice and the people are so friendly (quite disconcerting after living in London for so long) we will be sad to leave. The apartment is brilliant, good price, great view, slightly away from the main area but close enough to walk there. No hassle parking too. Paola has thought of everything and the welcome pack of snacks and water was very much appreciated. Our kids loved the mezzanine sleeping area! We were lucky enough to be able to check out a little later on our departure day as no one was due in that day, very much appreciated as the flight back to the UK is a night flight. I would fully recommend staying here to anyone, it’s a great spot for those on a bit of a budget.

Love this island! The studio is in a perfect location for watching the activity in the harbor and walking distance to historic Nelson's Dockyard, Pigeon beach, and restaurants. The studio is well equipped, clean, with plenty of closet space, and fans if the ocean breeze is calm. Will definitely be back!

Great villa

My wife and son and I had the pleasure of staying in this villa for three nights in January, 2019. The place is conveniently located to Falmouth/English Harbor. It was clean, well furnished, and although small, it fit the three of us perfectly. Our favorite was the patio that provides a commanding view of Falmouth harbor and all of the mega yachts. Paola was a great host, giving us perfect instructions on how to find the place. She was very accommodating throughout our entire stay. We did have a bit of noise from one of the bar/restaurants down the street our first night (Saturday night), but I'm told it was unusual and it didn't happen the other two nights of our stay. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cute, small villa in this area.

Fantastic location

We loved our stay at cool view. The view from the balcony was fantastic and the location was perfect, near all the bars and restaurants and also a stroll from nelsons dockyard. Paola was very nice as well as Christophine the cleaning lady, they both look after us well. The apartment is a little tired in places and can be noisy from the music in the nearby bars but Paola provides ear plugs which you will definitely need. Overall a lovely place to stay thank you.

Nice cosy quiet place

The season has not yet fully started, so we had little qty of tourists around. Unfortunately some places to eat were not yet open. The apartment is perfect. Beautiful terrace with view. A perfect arrangement for a couple. Well equipped as well (kitchen / bath). Only the matrace is too soft for my opinion.
