After some exploring, enjoy cooling off in the private outdoor pool surrounded by a safety fence, or catch some rejuvenating San Diego sun poolside. The backyard hosts a large patio table for outdoor dining and it's conveniently covered for shade. The front yard has a nice landscape and plants for your viewing pleasure.

Inside, kick your feet up and relax on the sofa that's perfect for watching a good movie on the smart TV with cable and streaming services. There is a convenient desk where remote workers and students can get their job done while on vacay. When mealtime comes, utilize the updated kitchen to whip up tasty meals during your visit, too! Additional perks include a brand-new washer/dryer. This is the perfect place to make memories and reminisce about the day's adventures!

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Carthage House in San Diego

Clean and updated. Nice neighborhood. Quiet and comfortable. Close to all the fun stuff. Vacasa was easy to work with and attentive to our needs. The pool was chilly.

Great Family Vacation

Wonderful stay at a beautiful home. The whole family enjoyed all that the house had to offer. Nice restaurants near the house and very close to beaches and shopping.

Lovely place with a nice clean pool!

We loved the pool and location! We were able to swim and relax and be about 15 minutes from anywhere we needed to go. Nice quiet neighborhood too!

Carthage Corner- A great place to stay

This quaint home was a fantastic experience for our family of 4 adults. Plenty of room to spread out, and a great location in a quiet neighborhood- yet just minutes away from all things San Diego! I definitely recommend!

Fun weekend stay

The house is located in a great central spot close to all the great San Diego attractions. Check-in was easy once I received instructions. House was clean and it was well stocked, plenty of space for my family of 5. I didn’t have any issues. The weather was nice. I would definitely consider staying again, perhaps in the summer so we can take a swim in the pool since it was too cold this time.

Great House

Stayed here while visiting our daughter. House is very comfortable and clean. Has everything. The pool is great for just hanging out. Location was perfect, about 10 to 20 minutes to everything. Would stay here again!

Comfortable stay, good location

Comfortable, and extremely spacious. My son could set-up his office for work, while the rest made good use of the rest of the house. For us, it was great that it was close to the grocery store and small restaurants. Loved the pool but had to get used to the morning wake-up call of the pool vacuum sounds :) Good spice rack supplies but could do with better basics such as paper towels, dish sponge, and dryer sheets.

Beautiful property in quiet neighborhood

The home was very clean and comfortable. Sunny patio and beautiful swimming pool. Property is close to shopping plaza with grocery store and delicious eateries! 5 out of 5 rating on all counts!

Coziest stay ever

Myself and my family lost our home in October to a fire and we had been staying with my sister until we decided to get our own space at a rental and Boy did we get lucky this property is amazing clean has a pool so spacious each of my kids have their own room. We truly enjoyed it. The neighborhood was so special so welcoming and it was conveniently located so we could still travel back-and-forth to work and take our kids to school I’m actually only sad at the fact that we had to check out because I would’ve loved to extend it for another month.

Nice home, plenty of room, well kept

Location was great! House was very clean when we arrived. Perfect for our family of six. If you happen to be handicapped you will have a few steps to enter the house. The house is one level so it was perfect for my wife that uses a walker.

Great size, location to attractions and adorable pool - but lots of updates and upgrades needed

We were overall happy w this rental - it’s spacious, in a good neighborhood, has a nice outdoor space and pool. But also surprised by some things given the price - low quality and overused kitchen ware. Little to no amenities some of which are basic - tissues, toilet paper paper towels garbage bags laundry detergent minimally or not provided. If you’re spending a lot of time in the home entertaining or preparing food I might want a place that has more.

Great House!!

This house was a great fit for our family of four, but would have easily accommodated 6 very comfortably. We all had our own space with the 3 bedrooms, and the master bedroom is quite private compared to the rest of the house, which was nice. The kitchen has updated appliances that work great, and it was a huge plus to have a laundry room! Another big deal in my mind that is not mentioned in the list of "amenities" (or at least was not mentioned there when we booked) is that they have a gas grill out by the pool! Great to have that option for cooking! The family room area is small, but fit our family well, and the outdoor table is fantastic! It is huge and would easily seat 8 in very comfortable chairs - and being covered is a big plus as well! The community also seemed to be very safe which was a huge deal for us and two young kids! We never once felt insecure about anything, and the house locks up nicely if there is any apprehension. The house is also right behind a strip mall that has a small grocer, dollar tree, a gas station, and a couple restaurants. Very convenient location in our estimation. There were only two downsides to the house. The first one is honestly a bit nit-picky, and in reality adds to the character of the house, but if you have any light sleepers, the floor is an older wood floor and is quite creaky. Was not an issue with our heavier sleepers, and the plus side is that we always knew when the kids were wondering into our room. Second is the fact that the pool is not heated. This may not be an issue at all during the summer months. We went out there in October, and the weather was absolutely warm enough to go for a swim, but the nights get chilly and the pool was a bit too cold even for the kids to enjoy. A disclaimer to this is that we knew full well that the pool was not heated when we booked, so we did not go in blind, but it would be amazing if the pool was heated and a guest given an option to pay extra to have it heated for their time there. We would have gladly done that. All of that said, it is a very nice pool and I am sure is incredible to have when the temp is right! Overall we were extremely happy with our choice to stay here, and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking at it! Great little house!!
