Couple things worth mentioning about this property. Photos look nice, but place wasn't very clean- lot of dead insects and dust inside, water didn't work when we arrived, though a neighbor called to tell us how to turn it on. Then we had to deal with brown water out of the faucets until system flushed. Beds were comfortable and AC worked well. Not worth the price charged, but passable as a rental at a better price.

Thank you for your feedback. We would like to clarify that our other guest reviews consistently reflect the cleanliness of our home. Regarding the water, the valve was accidentally shut off by our lawn maintenance provider. As soon as you notified us, we promptly responded and asked that it be reopened. We regret the inconvenience, but the issue was addressed immediately. We always strive to provide a clean, comfortable home and responsive service, and we believe our efforts to resolve the situation should also be considered.

Great house and excellent check in and out process. Communication was extremely fast and accommodating. We did not experience any issues but I’m confident if we did, a resolution would have been quick and complete.

Clean and comfortable, under equipped kitchen and charged me more than listed for

The house is nice and has nice comfortable furniture, but the kitchen is pretty poorly equipped for cooking (not much in the way of dishes, utensils, etc). I booked and paid for the house and then prior to our stay I was contacted by the owner saying she didn't know how I was able to get the price I did and then sent me another bill for more money.

Carlita’s Place

Wonderful home Clean, very comfortable, especially the recliners! Wonderful location to anything you wanted to do. We love Lake Placid BEWARE: HOST We were charged $27.00 for some furniture repair stuff because we left a white spot on her table!! We were very careful and used a towel but it happened anyway. She didn’t provide placemats! We also had to buy toilet paper and paper towels, ran out of trash bags! We loved the house but a difficult Host to deal with. Be prepared if you rent this house! Melanie. I’m sorry you took it personally. The table was new and also there are table mats in the kitchen drawers. Also, as stated in the listing, I provide toilet paper paper towel garbage bags. Once it’s used, the customer covers it. You stay for over 3 weeks.
