NOTE: PIER OPEN, LIGHTS ON, NEW SEAWALL, COME FISHING! 🎣. Need a relaxing get-away? Venture to the peaceful coastal town of Seadrift Tx. View a magnificent San Antonio bay sunset over the water, and enjoy the constant cool breeze . Fish on the lighted public pier across the street. Boat launch / harbor is 3 blocks away. This 2/1 garage apartment (sits behind main address house) is the perfect spot to watch folks riding by in golf carts, and shrimp boats coming in. King Fisher Beach (public) in Port O'Connor is only 18 miles. Great restaurants nearby. Guest Max is 4 people unless otherwise pre-approved, please. It's cozy and we want you to have room to enjoy!

THE SPACE:
Upstairs 2/1 bay front garage apt. behind main house at address. 1 Q bed in BR 1 and Q bunks in 2nd BR. Cozy living area with 55" smart TV cable / wifi for streaming with your passwords. Electric fireplace has a switch for optional heat output, making for lovely ambiance. Very comfy newer couch. Full kitchen with w/d. Balcony is perfect place for morning coffee / evening cocktail with the gentle breeze blowing. Watch the shrimp boats / tugboats and pier fishing here too!

GUEST ACCESS:
The enclosed yard is part of this listing. We also own the main historical home in front of the subject property and may occasionally be there but it is a complete separate property. Main house and air stream area is not part of this listing. Parking to subject property is in front of garage doors of garage apartment (2 spaces) for guests. 4 guests, max, unless otherwise approved before booking.

OTHER NOTES:
Seadrift has dollar stores and one small grocery store so you might want to stop in Victoria or Port Lavaca for produce / meat / specialty foods. Port O'Connor has a speedy stop with good meats, too, and lots of groceries / souvenirs. Seadrift is known for fishing. Bayrat guide service (Gary) is a great one if you want to do that. There are about 3 or 4 restaurants in Seadrift. La Terraza Mexican is a few blocks from subject property. Bubba's Cajun Seafood is very good and close to apt, too. The shack has great shrimp / fish sandwiches and oysters (when in season), and Rocky's Noodle house has really good pho.

OMG! This place was just what we needed to escape the craziness of everyday life. Our family of 3 stayed here for the weekend and we were not disappointed. Check in and check out process was very simple. Communication by the host was great, very attentive and if we had a question they took care of us. They were very kind and welcoming. The home had everything we needed and more. Definitely made it feel like a home away from home.Hosts definitely went above and beyond to make sure we had all we needed and even brought out a new BBQ grill for us. We enjoyed sitting outside under the pergola while we grilled and sitting outside on the balcony in the evening relaxing. We were able to just walk right across the street to go fish off the pier or right off the rocks. I would advise that you purchase groceries and what you need prior to getting into town. There was only a dollar general and a small grocery store. They both had things that we forgot. Don’t sleep on the dollar general. They had quite a selection of items and honestly was one of the nicer DGs that I have been to. Great place to stay and would highly recommend for a couple or small family.

The building structure seems to be under duress but it was clean and comfortable.

We were overall happy with the stay and the home. The reason we will not go back is because we believe we were falsely accused of damaging some items in the home. A claim was made against us but the owner was not willing to have a discussion about the alleged damage by phone. Also the claim included items not discussed on the text thread indicating possible fraudulent accusations to financially benefit the owner.

Perfect Getaway

The beach was closed due to repairs of some sort, this was not mentioned. It would have been nice to have access to the beach area. I'm not sure if this was a pet friendly rental, sheets and blankets, living room area triggered allergies and asthma. Very NICE place for a short stay.

Wonderful weekend with the family

The house was all we needed and the quaint yet comfortable layout forced our family to be together, play games, cook, and do some fishing when the weather allowed. I would gladly recommend this wonderful bay-front house and stay again. Thank you for your hospitality! The Millers

Birthday get-a-way

Beautiful property, very clean, extra supplies, ONLY complaint the coffee pot did NOT work right. Which wasn't a problem for me, I don't drink coffee, but my friend struggled with driving to get coffee every morning before 6:00 am. Overall I loved the place and would diffidently stay again. I was not told about the lock box and was not given the code ahead of time. Took over an hour going online to reach a human that could help us get in.

Great weekend getaway

Very clean, comfy apartment. Everything you need for a family getaway. Stocked with all the extras such as coffee, seasonings, condiments, toiletries. Hosts were very accommodating. About 20 minutes from our fishing trip in Port O'connor. Nice outside cooking area to grill dinner while enjoying the bay view. Very hot weather when we were there but the breeze coming off the bay was great! thanks again, will definitely be back.

What a wonderful garage apartment! Clean, comfortable, everything we needed with full kitchen and washer/dryer. Great location and view of he bay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We realized 1/2 way home we forgot to take the trash out.....and apologize for that!!

Restful retreat

A cute little garage apartment with great views of the bay. Walking distance to the bay front park and lighted fishing pier. We sat for HOURS in the yard, in the shade and just enjoyed the views - which was extra amazing because it was an Excessive Heat Warning week. When it got too hot, we went in and enjoyed the air conditioning. A quiet little place, in a quiet little town. Don't miss getting food at T's just down the street.

Fantastic property...

Myself and three boys (16-22) stayed here for two days of fishing in nearby Port O'Connor. This property is an over-garage apartment that has been well converted into a living space for four adults. The property was well located on the best street in Seadrift with various other well kept properties. It was also very clean and comfortable. Robin facilitated our stay without a hitch which was great because we were mostly hurried due to fishing arrangements. We ate at both Bubba's and La Terraza which were both pretty good, especially considering the limited place to eat. Seadrift is not a "tourist town," which is what I like about it. This property is exemplary for a quiet weekend of fishing and I would definitely book again.

Hello there! Although my family and I are from Tomball, we have always gravitated to the gulf coast. Michael & I have 3 children and fishing has always been great family time for us. We have a roofing company in Tomball and I am a Realtor, there. Life is busy with a teenager, but we come to the coast every chance we get. Seadrift stole our heart when we discovered it and we are anxious to share our property with others that love the area as much as we do!

The small little fishing town of Seadrift Texas is a hidden gem on the Texas coast. Although it's very near to plenty of very active beach towns, it has somehow managed to remain quiet, peaceful, and full of nature. For anyone that appreciates a relaxing view, some really great fishing, and just overall peace, Seadrift will certainly be appealing. If you are so inclined to venture out, Rockport is within a 40 minute drive, as is the historic town of Victoria. Port O'Connor has a nice little beach that is perfect for the family and it's 18 miles away. POC also has a Speedy Stop gas station that is so much more than just that....go buy some great deli items or even souvenirs there! There are several great restaurants within blocks of our rental including La Terraza, Bubba's Cajun Seafood, The Shack, and Rocky's Noodle house. The balcony here is the perfect location to catch an amazing breeze as well as watch the shrimpers / boaters coming in daily. The lighted fishing pier at night is where it's at! Mostly, just relax and enjoy those evening sunsets with a nice glass of wine. It's good for the soul!

Just being honest, this isn't Destin. In other words, you're not going to be bowled over with hustle & bustle. The highlight of the day might be a walk along the bay / pier or a drive to Aransas Wildlife park. The King Fisher beach at Port O'Connor is a short drive and it's such a peaceful, shallow beach. It even has shells! Steps away is a wonderful lighted pier in which you can catch trout, drum, redfish, and even alligator (true story). The birdwatching is amazing and pelicans dive in front of this house often. Dolphins in the bay may be seen daily as well as the huge tankers / tugboats that go back and forth across the bay. Seadrift gets in your heart, even though it is really just a sleepy little fishing / shrimping village. We hope you come and we hope you fall inlove with it!
