Come stay at the Gator Get-Away! This beautiful, newly renovated, home can sleep up to 7 quests in a cozy 3 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. The Gator Get-Away is located in a family neighborhood with lots of kids, surrounding schools, a pond right across the street, and a big lake down the road. It also includes an open floor plan layout, hand made closets, stunning accent wall, fenced in back yard, outside grill, dishes, silverware, and a washer and dryer.

Great Experience

Communication with the owner was great. The interior was nice and clean with the exception of minor bug issues. Stay was definitely worth the price. Location wasn’t great but we had no issues in that aspect.

It’s a quiet neighborhood only 8 min away from downtown Gainesville.

Clean and cheap

I booked this stay for my daughter’s graduation and to stay with my elderly parents who can’t do stairs. Place was clean and well laid out. Host was friendly and quick to respond to our needs. Biggest concern was the neighborhood. Not necessarily a place you would leave elderly parents on their own, or walk your dog.

no sleep at night

was afraid to stay at home due to neighborhood. Had brought 2 boats with us was afraid to leave them outside without sleeping in them. I lost $550.00. did not stay had to drive 45 miles away to find a motel so as to protect my family, and possessions. Spoke with owner he stated that it was a good place and safe, and because i did not notify him in time he would not refund me any money. Owner stated that there was a school in the neighborhood, I'm sorry but that does not make it safe. The neighbors had a fire outside on the ground with no ring around it. There was many young kids, and teenagers everywhere run, and screaming, chasing each other around, and using vulgar language, seen all this in the 10 minutes it took us to get turned around, and out of the neighborhood. Was also told that there was a garage at the home did not see that. I should have caught on when the owner/ manager said I should be Safe with my boats outside and said you could park boats close to your bedroom windows.

Great Gator Get Away!

We had an absolutely wonderful time here for Tom Petty Day in the Swamp! Perfect place for a couple kids and adults to crash in between touring the University and attending the football game. Very clean, wonderful communication, and easy check in! Only thing I would mention is that neighborhood dogs roam the streets without collars, and will follow you. So if you have a pet coming with you, be aware of that. Obviously, this is something the owner can’t help, and didn’t detract from our stay, but something to be mindful of. I would 100% book here again for our next game day weekend!
