Perfect stay in Gainesville

Nina’s art house was a great place to stay for a long weekend in Gainesville. Nina was super friendly and responsive. We debated whether to stay in a hotel given my wife and I were traveling with our two adult children. This place was perfect because everybody got their own room to chill out in - far better than cramming everyone in a two bedroom hotel room! We would definitely stay here again.

Great house! Far enough from campus there isn’t traffic but close enough to be at “The Swamp” in less than 15 minutes. Nina was super responsive and even messaged us half way through the visit to see if we needed anything. Very clean. Plenty of parking. Quiet. Publix down the street. TVs in every room. Art work is all original by the owner! Definitely will stay again.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The home is beautiful, but what truly made it special was the incredible artwork throughout. Every room had unique, thoughtfully chosen pieces that gave the space so much character and made it feel warm, inviting, and one of a kind. The host was fantastic—friendly, responsive, and so easy to work with from booking through checkout. Everything was seamless, and it was clear they genuinely care about their guests’ experience.I highly recommend staying here and would happily book again. If you’re looking for a place with charm, comfort, and an amazing host, this is it!

I love making art and jewelry. I enjoy creating a wonderful experience for my guests. The house exudes great energy, and I have a great time beautifying it and decorating!

I grew up in Vermont, I attended New College of Florida after 2 years just outside Boston. I was a literature major, and now I’m a visual artist! I lived and worked in Sarasota for 18 years. I moved to Micanopy and began painting in 2019 and spent 3 years living communally and exploring painting. I moved to Gainesville in 2022, and love this place.

I love trees, nature, kitties, and all animals

この宿泊施設の特徴

In October of 2023, I moved my mom here from our childhood home in Vermont. She was in hospice. This house was our dream project. Her favorite color was blue, and you’ll see a lot of blue art and furniture:) I know she’s cheering me on from the other side! She was an artist as well and truly gifted in the art of crochet.

This home is my personal Art Gallery you get to sleep in! I’m always updating my space- inside and out. Currently, I’m working on the carport seating area, new stove, washer, and dryer. The house is full of my original art and one bedroom is dedicated to my partner’s photography! As we continue the journey of making this home more and more artful, the more joy I feel and hope you do, too!
