The Fly Fish Flat

Exclusive and quiet (unless a rocket launches), upstairs apartment in downtown Titusville. The building is on the Indian River right across from the Kennedy Space Center's launch pads and two blocks from Titusville's common area with restaurants, shops and clubs. A large window in the living room will allow you to look down Indian River Avenue to Astronaut Memorial Park and Sandpoint Park. It’s a people (or dog) watchers paradise. Your flat is just South of Scobie Park and there are several more parks North toward the city marina. Although not directly on the river it is just down the stairs and around the corner to view launch pads and scheduled rocket launches from the Space Center.

So convenient to everything: Merritt Island NWR, Canaveral seashore, and close to good restaurants, including one where we got a delicious introduction to rock shrimp. We appreciated the laundry room, comfy spread-out space and location right next to the water (and several rare-to-us water birds). Don't hesitate to come here for a great stay!

The fly fish flat is awesome, locations was perfect. Multiple parks nearby, the area is very walkable, there are multiple restaurants and coffee shops nearby, even a bakery.

My wife and I had a great time at Capt. Mitch's Fly Fish Flat. Our second time there and we'll be back. Very well appointed flat. Comfortable king bed, great location and quiet. Just an excellent place to stay. And Capt. Mitch very responsive.

The whole experience was amazing. Went to Titusville for daughter’s overnight tournament, was 10minutes from the field. Communication and description was very accurate. Would definitely be interested in staying here again in the future.

Captain Mitch was always available. When we checked out, I left a sport coat in the closet. He stopped by, found it and immediately offered to mail it to me. As it turned out, we had not left Titusville and I was able to meet him at the apartment and pick it up. A great host.

Fantastic Flat!

Capt. Mitch’s Fly Fish Flat is definitely a 10/10 accommodation. The unit is conveniently located, nicely decorated and very clean. We enjoyed watching the rocket launch from the driveway and visiting some of the local restaurants within walking distance.

Awesome place to stay!!!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Fly Fish Flat. We stayed three days. It was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. If you want to see a shuttle launch, there isn’t a better location! We will definitely stay there again!

This was one of our most favorite rental stays ever! The nautical decor added to the waterfront location with amazing sunrise views -- including the VAB and rocket launch pads in the distance across the river. It was immaculately clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The host was very responsive and pleasant to interact with. I was ready to move in - lol! -- and we'll definitely be back!

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Fly Fish Flat. The location was perfect, right in downtown Titusville, where we could easily walk around and even catch a few rocket launches just by stepping outside. During our trip, we visited Playalinda Beach, which was absolutely gorgeous and peaceful, and we also did a nearby bioluminescent kayak tour that was such a unique experience.There’s so much nature to explore in the area, though I’d recommend bringing bug spray if you’re planning to spend time near the lagoon. The flat itself was clean, comfortable, and in close proximity to so many adventures. Overall, it made for a wonderful stay, and we’d be happy to come back!

One of the best stays we’ve had. The Fly Fishing Flat felt as comfortable as our own home, it was super cozy with really great decor. My wife and I both agree, we could see ourselves settling down in a place just like this. We were 12 minutes from Kennedy Space Center and walking distance to great restaurants and the quaint Main Street. You can watch the rockets launch from right outside your unit - it’s directly across the river. The Sunrise is worth waking up for!Communication with Captain Mitch was spot on, he was very responsive.

This was the most welcoming comfortable rental we have ever stayed at. It was clean, decorated perfectly for this area. Reminded me of my late step father with all the fishing and nautical decorations throughout. It was spacious well appointed with so many amenities. The bathroom was wonderful with a fantastic walk in shower. The two bedrooms both had comfortable beds, TVs and ceiling fans. Communication with owner was fantastic and gave great suggestions for launch observation. Would absolutely stay there again and suggest it to all I know.

Captain Mitch has lived in Titusville since the early 60's managing two marinas .... Kennedy Point Yacht Club and Harbor Town Marina before going to sea. As a boat captain he worked in the offshore petroleum industry assisting in the exploration and production of oil and natural gas. Along the way he has collected interesting and older nautical stuff which is scattered around the property for your enjoyment.

The Marlin Flats are on the Indian River across from the Space Center and a short walk to Titusville's downtown shops, resturants and clubs. Several parks and even the city marina can be reached by walking a little further.
