Choosing a property with “Patty’s Casitas” means a well taken care home, responsive and dedicated hosts (who are also the owners) and the possibility of a full rounded experience with offering of airport transfers & tours.

Come and enjoy Panama by staying in this gem - best location - around the corner from “El Rey” supermarket…Casco’s only grocery store!

This is a very unique loft style property featuring 15 foot high ceilings, skylights, a large mezzanine bedroom with beautiful wooden floors & oversize custom made wardrobe with its bright en-suite bathroom, the bedroom overlooks the living-room.

The nice modern American kitchen offers a breakfast bar and opens onto the living/dining room that leads to a lovely balcony with views to a wide quiet street with colorful 'bougainvillea'.

It is a gorgeous apartment which benefits from all the colonial charm: iron work & Calicanto walls (original stone wall from the 17th Century) all around the condo with a great homey feeling.

The condo is fitted with high end amenities, a phone with free local calls and also the use of a cell phone during your stay.

LOCATION:

It is next to the famous “La Merced” Church which façade was transported stone by stone after the 1st city (Panama La Vieja) was destroyed…the building was actually the living quarters of the monks;-)

The condo is steps away from restaurants, bars & cafés, the famous Plaza Cathedral with the Museum of the canal & the up-coming Plaza Herrera which will soon host 2 boutique Hotels.

NEIGHBORHOOD:

Casco Viejo (also known as Casco Antiguo) is an effervescent neighborhood with its beautiful restored colonial buildings, home to the President Palace, the French Embassy & a gorgeous promenade with awesome views to the city's skyline & the Amador Causeway (entrance of the Panama Canal).

It also offers fine dining & entertainment with the National Theatre, great outdoor cafés for a nice drink on one of the charming plazas...an enjoyment by itself!

Its perfect location between down-town & Amador, a 5 to 10 Min’s taxi ride, makes it a conveniently central “pied-a-terre”!

We loved staying at this condo. Perfect location for exploring Casco Viejo, plenty of room for our family of 4 (including 2 teenage boys), comfortable beds, well-appointed bathrooms and thoughtful pre-stocked snacks/beverages for the travel weary. Patty provided a great list of recommended restaurants and was incredibly prompt with returning emails before and during our stay. We also worked with her husband for an airport transfer and tour of Panama City/Canal and the surrounding area. Thank you for a wonderful time!

Absolutely Perfect Stay in Casco Viejo!I had an amazing stay at Patty’s beautiful two-bedroom loft in Casco Viejo, Panama. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Patty was incredibly welcoming upon our arrival — so much so that I couldn’t help but give her a hug! I felt like I already knew her from our friendly correspondence before the trip.The loft itself was spotless, stylish, and had everything you could possibly need — down to the Q-tips! It was so comfortable and truly felt like a home away from home for the week.Patty’s recommendations for restaurants and things to do were absolutely spot-on. We didn’t eat at the same place twice, and every meal in Casco Viejo was outstanding. We also felt completely safe, both in the loft and while exploring the neighborhood.If you stay with Patty, you must book your excursions with Rudy! He is one of the kindest, most knowledgeable people you’ll meet — a true gem. He took us on unforgettable adventures, including the Panama Canal and Monkey Island tour (so much fun!) and a fantastic trip to Portobelo and Isla Grande. It’s clear he’s deeply respected throughout Panama — everyone greeted him with smiles and handshakes wherever we went.Thank you, Patty and Rudy, for making our trip so memorable and special. Casco Viejo

Check-in was very friendly and personalized. Excellent location and the place provides many comforts and amenities. Wi-Fi access was no problem- we were able to stream the Red Sox game for example. Patty and Rudy are great hosts! The food in the area is fantastic and Casco has a really nice atmosphere for a stroll and a short distance by car to many things. Enjoyed the balcony too!

Outstanding 3 days

We stayed at patttyscasitas for 3 nights. We. Were met at the airport by Rudy and transported to the condominium where Patty greeted. It was so easy and made the start of the trip extremely comfortable. After a quick trip to the grocery store that was literally around the corner, we were settled for our 3 night stay. From there, it got better. We could walk everywhere. We also booked a day trip of the Canal with Rudy through the connection with Patty. It too was outstanding. We are coming back to Panama in July and will be booking our stay with Patty.

Fabulous apartment and hosts

The apartment was perfect for our family of 4. We loved having a place to hang, cook, take a quick nap. The apartment was extremely clean and had every amenity you would need. The beds were comfortable. Also Patty and Her husband were wonderful. Extremely helpful, prompt, etc. Highly recommend.

Best host in best location

We had the best time in Panama thanks to Patty and Rudy. They were the most gracious hosts. The condo is so clean and comfortable. The location is very convenient to walking to any type of restaurant you could want and there is a grocery store very close by too. We took several tours with Rudy and always felt safe and had a great time while learning so much about the panama history and culture. I highly recommend staying with Patty and booking all tours with Rudy. Thank you both so much for a wonderful time!

Excellent!

Suite VERY well stocked with kitchen and bathroom essentials. Location was quiet and perfect! Conveniences, ATM, shops, coffee, wide choice of restaurants all near. We always felt safe.Two sets of stairs to climb with well functioning A/C as your reward! The suite and building is historic and beautiful. Start your stay with a walking tour with Rudy for a great lay of the land. We did 3 different tours with him and he was an awesome guide. Very knowledgeable. Communication with Patty was excellent and responses very prompt from first enquiry to after departure. She will organize or even customize your tours and airport transfers. Patty and Rudy provide stellar accommodation and service so you can relax and enjoy your time in Panama City!

The BEST!

Truly a home away from home. Location is perfect. Anywhere you want to go is a walk away while staying at Casco Viejo. The size of the home for 5 was perfect. The space is very well designed. Anything you may need is there. To have Rudy pick us up from airport was so helpful and anxiety free. Fantastic place to explore Casco Viejo

Patty and Rudy were the finest hosts! We arranged for Rudy to pick us up and he was there waiting for us as promised. The apartment is spacious and beautifully decorated. Patty and Rudy were always available to answer questions or make recommendations. We booked several tours with Rudy and it was reassuring to have a native speaker help us out. On the Embera Village tour, many of the tribe members knew Rudy by name. He translated for us and gave us a great feel for their village, people and customs. We cannot recommend them ENOUGH! Fantastic experience!

Absolutely Incredible Apartment in Perfect Location

Patty’s apartment in the heart of Casco Viejo was everything my friend and I were hoping for - do not look further, book it! We stayed one week and wished we could’ve stayed longer. You cannot beat the location - walking distance to everything, but not in the noisy part of the night life so every night after wandering around Casco Viejo (THE place to be in Panamá City!) we felt like we were entering our own little oasis - truly a home away from home. The apartment was absolutely perfect - immaculately clean, a great space, great kitchen and living area to chill with a movie, spacious bedrooms (with super comfy beds), great bathrooms - and a balcony where we drank our cafecito each morning. Truly amazing - would not change one thing! The restaurants Patty recommended were outstanding, only wish we had time to go back to each one again. The streets of Casco Viejo, steps from the apartment, are full of life, local art, beautiful churches every where you look, cobblestone streets with balconies filled with colorful flowers everywhere - like a work of art itself. We highly recommend this apartment - five starts all around!

Great place, great location, great hosts!

We stayed with Patty and Rudy for our 4 night 4 day stay in PTY. The building is secure with a locked main door and as well as a second double deadbolt door at the apartment itself. There are also security cameras as a bonus. The neighborhood was also safe for walking day and night. The place is super cute, clean, well equipped and PERFECTLY located in Casco Viejo. Close to everything. Our hosts also offer added airport transfers and excursions if you’d like. We did airport pick up and the excursion to the canal + jungle boat + exhibitions. The tour was great and Rudy is super knowledgeable about the area and took care of everything. There is a great welcome binder with activity and restaurant suggestions too! Would definitely recommend!

Amazing Stay!

We enjoyed three nights at Patty's casita in Casco Viejo. This is a two storey apartment on the top floor of a three storey building. There is no elevator but the stairs were good for us after sampling many great meals in Panamá City. Patty's background as a hotelier really shows in the attention to detail in this rental. It is decorated beautifully. Linens and towels are in top condition! Beds are super comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you could possible need. She even left us some snacks and non-alcoholic drinks, tea, coffee, condiments, etc. The bathrooms had extra toothbrushes, soaps, shampoo, conditioner, makeup remover wipes, etc. The location is excellent for walking around the old town and her restaurant recommendations were perfect. Her husband Rudy picked us up at the airport and dropped us off at the cruise ship terminal for a very reasonable fee. We also hired him for a local walking tour and learned even more about the city. I would highly recommend this rental to you. We were two adult, non-smoking couples from Canada. Both Patty and Rudy speak several languages. Wonderful people and incredible hosts!

Great central location

Our family of four stayed here for a week. Our family consists of my husband, two daughters ages 9 & 12, and myself. We all had the best experience at Patty and Rudy’s place. They were welcoming from the moment we met them. They assisted with our luggage and gave us a tour and oriented us to the house. The house was very clean and we all felt at home right away. The location was perfect for walking to restaurants, shops and the market. Ubers were always available for trips further away. I would highly recommend this vacation rental for your next family getaway. Thank you Patty and Rudy for making our vacation even more perfect!

Incredible amazing property! Truly 10 out of 10

We loved every second of our experience at Patty’s stunning 2 bedroom loft. Very spacious, open and well laid out, super comfortable, great appliances, fabulous local art, excellent smart TV, easy to use AC. Charming balcony overlooking a lovely street in Casco Viejo, which is THE place to stay in Panama City. 3 minute walk to some of the best restaurants in the city. We stayed upstairs in the king bed which we loved. The loft is even better than the photos! Patty is an excellent communicator, and gave us so very helpful information, welcomed us warmly even before we arrived. Her husband, Rudy, picked us up from the airport after a red eye flight. We booked a private tour with him to the Panama Canal locks (with IMAX movie included) and learned so much more than we would have on our own. Like having an old friend share the day with us. The boat tour in the canal was unique and fun too. They both gave us many tips on restaurants, shopping, and generally how to maximize our 5 days in Panama City. Overall just lovely!

The apartment is beautiful and well stocked w anything you could need! Patti and Rudy are absolutely amazing and caring hosts and people! Would recommend for all! Their tours and recommendations were lovely as well

We are an international couple (German/Belgium/Panamanian/Italian)who after living in many different countries decided to call Panama home. We enjoy good food, tennis, traveling & meeting people from all over the world…hence the choice of making hosting (degree in Hotel Management) and touring (licensed & rated on TripAdvisor) our business...you couldn’t be in better hands:-)

Let us show you our Panama by given you inside tips on our favorite restaurants & places not to miss…our priority is to make your Panama adventure an unforgettable one by providing top-notch, spotless accommodation in the most sought-after neighborhoods…and most importantly we are always available for any questions you might have during your stay.

Besides this property we also have a studio in the same building + a 1 bedroom condo in Amador by the Panama Canal & a gorgeous mountain Villa retreat with private swimming-pool & amazing views ***only 50 Minutes from the city***…a quiet Haven for those of you seeking total relaxation!

We originally bought this property for us to live in however since we had so much success renting our studio located on the same floor we decided to postpone our move until retirement and in the mean time have guests enjoy this wonderful space;-)

We love Casco Viejo – it is such a vibrant neighborhood and has some of the best restaurants in town...not to mention that it is fascinating to wonder about in its little colonial streets admiring the buildings' amazing architectures.
Its central location between the banking district (2 min’s drive) and the Amador Causeway (5 min’s drive) makes it a perfect vacation spot.
It offers lots of entertainments like the national Theater and all the different venues: the Jazz and Music festival. You’ll find a variety of little shops with beautiful Panamanian handcrafts and every Sunday the flea market.
Casco Viejo is a great walking neighborhood home to the Presidential Palace, the Mayor’s Office (in our street) and the French Embassy.
