Look no further... This Villa is the one!

This villa is a must! If you want a clean, spacious, well maintain Villa with an incredible view on a beautiful island with your own swim platforms then this is the place for you! The day of our arrival we were met with a table full of fresh fruit, meats, cheeses, delicious home made breads and wine to help us start our stay. We were traveling for 3 weeks and this stop was just what we needed to relax and enjoy some quite time. We have stayed in many different "homeaway" villa's and this was the best so far. So, look no more and rent this place before it's too late! Enjoy... P.S. Sonia was the best, very helpful!! She runs a well equipped Villa and honest business!

Lovely home nestled on Adriatic hillside

Our family enjoyed this beautiful property very much. Outside spaces were varied and large; access to the sea was such fun. Each bedroom had a nice bathroom, and all opened to the air and view. Wood-fired grill/fireplace was perfect for making dinner at home, and we found meat and vegetables easily in Vis Town. Kitchen was well appointed and dishes, glassware, and serving pieces made it easy. We also enjoyed restaurants in Vis, Kut, and Komica, as well as peca at Roki's. The local baker barreled down the road every morning at 8:30 honking his horn, and we ran out for croissants and bread. We took a boat tour around the island, especially enjoying swimming from the boat and lunch at Stonicina. Sanja and her housekeeper were most helpful, leaving us a lovely meal and wine when we arrived late at night. Their travel agent, Navigator, was also hugely helpful with rental cars and all sorts of advice. We recommend this property highly.

Villa Tempera is a luxury paradise on earth

After all the crowds on the Croation Coast, it was a reall gift to arrive on the beautifull and quiet island of Vis. When we arrived at the villa we were welcomed with champagne by Sanja and her husband (the owners). They are really helpfull, also when planning our trip they advised us about where to rent the car, the boat, etc. The villa is an oasis. It is situated on the seaside so you have direct acces to the sea. It has various terraces from where you an see the sea, enjoy views of boats sailing by, other islands,. The sea has a beautifull colour and the only thing you need are some watershoes because of the stones in the water. We rented a small motorboat for ten people which we could moore just in front of the villa, so we could each day make beautifull boat trips to Hvar (close by), the green and blue cave, Vis city, etc. It is really strategicaly located to visit many places by boat. In the interior there are 5 bedrooms each with its own bathroom. The villa is clean and really well kept and looks like new on the in and outside. In the price included they came cleaning twice a week. It's perfect to stay with two families like we did. The kitchen is not really big but it has really everything you need to make all kind of meals. From the house you are in 10 minutes in Vis city and like 30 minutes in Komica. Two beautifull old cities without all the crowds, hardly andy traffic on the island. I think it is a well kept secret, the island of Vis and I hope it will stay that way for a long time.

What can you say about Paradise?

What can you say about paradise? This villa was perfect. Heaven. Amazing. Spacious. Comfortable. We splurged for a family vacation at Villa Tempera and are so happy we did. From the initial contact with Sanja to the very last second we were at the Villa everything was top notch. I feel I have a friend in Sanja! I wish we could have spent some more time with her and her husband, but we could only meet quickly at the Split ferry dock. We were 8 adults plus my four month old granddaughter. Family and friends. This is a well cared for well loved grand home. I cannot say enough about the luxuriousness of the villa. There are many many indoor and outdoor spaces. The rooms are spacious and equipped with everything one can need. The beds are very comfortable and the linens are top quality. Lots of towels as well! We could have had more people there with us (we tried) and there would have been space and light to spare. The kitchen is a bit small but adequate for our needs. We had some lovely dinners out on the veranda (huge, like two or three more rooms, only outside) at the dining table that lives outside. There are great couches outside (as well as in the living room) to lounge upon and just gaze at the sea. The grounds are immaculate. We arrived to the fragrance of rosemary permeating the upper yard—I don’t think I will ever again smell rosemary and not think of our perfect Villa Tempera week. There are flowers everywhere. The villa seems to have as much space outside as inside. One can walk all around it. There are two main outside dining areas and an outside cooking area/fireplace. The views are incredible. We loved that we had the private dock area and access to the crystal turquoise blue water. At first I thought it might be a bit difficult to get down to the water, one must walk down on the rocks (I have a bum knee). But I figured out where to step and was able to get to the dock landing easily everyday. We started every morning in the water. We took our coffee down and climbed down the stairs into the sea and just thought life was pretty perfect. My Croatian-American granddaughter got her first Adriatic sea dip right here! Having a car would be helpful (we had two). One can easily rent them on the island. My son and his friend rented scooters for a few days. I could go on and on about the villa and Sanja’s extreme graciousness and hospitality and the magnificence of this villa.

Excellent house on a great location.

Beautiful and well maintained property, 10 minutes away from Vis. All rooms are air conditioned and well equipped. Both front and back yard are quite spacious. Hosts were extremely helpful and took promptly took care of even the smallest things. I would love to come back.

Heaven on earth!

The villa was absolutely fabulous and provided the perfect surroundings for a dream vacation for our large extended family. The villa itself is large, functional and beautifully designed (especially the master bedroom is a true gem!) . The large outdoor terrace with the stunning seaview (that turqoise sea in the mornings...eating that freshly baked bread bought from the baker truck few minutes ago..ah!), the deck at the seaside to spend afternoons swimming and that lovely lavender garden.. Villa Tempera really is heaven on earth! However, what we cherish most is how warmly we were welcomed by Sanja and Vlado. We were greeted as friends and given advise and tips what to do, what to see and where to eat and all of this was truly priceless. These tips opened up Vis to us in a unique way and perfected the vacation. I would warmly recommend Villa Tempera to anyone looking to spend quality time in a luxury location!

Great holiday in a mirific place!

We had a great holiday - perfect accomodation, perfect host, perfect island. Villa Tempera was for 8 days our home, far away from home. Our host, Sanja, is great and extremly helpful and I thank her once again for her constant support. I recommend this villa with all my heart!

Perfect house on a perfect island

Villa Tempera is a perfect place to relax. The location is beautiful and we really enjoyed the privacy of the villa. Villa was nicely decorated, view was magnificent and the owners were so nice and helpful with everything we needed. I can warmly recommend this villa to people who like to have holiday in peace and quiet with friends and family. Also island of Vis is worth visiting!

Villa Tempera

We spent a lovely week at Villa Tempera, a group of 4 adults and 3 young children (all under 5) and absolutely loved the beauty and peace of this amazing home. It is a second home to the owners and therefore is really well equipped and very comfortable (amazing beds and very well stocked kitchen). There were so many comfy and relaxing places to lounge around and take in the stunning scenery and the children loved it, with lots of nooks and crannies for exploring. Thank you very much Sanja and family for a great stay.

Absolutely gorgeous place!

Our family and friends stayed at this wonderful place in September 2013. Pictures looked lovely, but the reality was even better. Terraces are huge, sea view stunning. We stayed with 5 small children and they loved the place too...plenty of space for running, toys to play...owners were always polite and it was a shame we could not meet them because their daughter was sick at that time. However, even in that situation they provided us with a full and great service. We thank you family Siric again and we hope to meet you very soon when coming back to your villa!!!!

Blissful relaxation on the Adriatic

Andrew and I booked our stay at Villa Tempera almost a full year in advance. Sanja was extremely helpful in arranging accomodations at the villa that met our needs, and even helped us further in planning our vacation, answering our numerous questions along the way. We arrived at Villa Tempera and were warmly welcomed by Sanja and Vlado personally. They kindly showed us around the home and gardens, which left us speechless. The beauty of the home cannot be adequately captured in pictures - the sunlight that pours through the ample windows opening to the sea, the sound of the waves through the open doors at night, the waterfront porch we enjoyed each morning with coffee, the smell of the lavendar gardens, the swimming dock... It is far too impressive to capture in words or photos. However, even superior than the physical attributes of the property is the feeling of home that you have while there. In the villa, you do not feel as if you are in a temporary lodging, but rather like kings of your own palace - a feeling that lends to the relaxation. We enjoyed the house itself greatly, as it provides a great degree of outdoor area to enjoy between the gardens, porch, outdoor dining area and grill, and swimming dock with sun beds as well as comfortable interiors (my goodness that bed was hard to leave in the morning!). As beautiful as Villa Tempera is, and as easy as it would be to spend all day there everyday, the villa also has a great location to explore the island from. It provides a greater degree of privacy than a location within Vis Town or Komiza while still being a short ride into town for dinner or coffee. Sanja and Vlado, our gracious hosts, provided us with fantastic recommendations of activities, beaches, and restaurants to visit while on the island, and the house certainly served as a great location to visit these from. This rental provided so much more than a place to sleep - it was the foundation for our best vacation experience to date. Thank you so much Sanja and Vlado! We are already missing Vis and the villa, and look forward to the day we can return!

Great place, greate house, great owners!

We have spent almost 7 weeks in this great house on the island of Vis, since August 23 until beginning of October 2011. We have had our small children with us, even 3 months old baby. The property itself is piece of home away from home - providing everything you might need if you travel with your family and children. The house is very comfortable, well equipped, with huge terrace overlooking the blue Adriatic sea. The pictures on the web are accurate, but you must see it in reality - nice garden with lot of plants, olive trees, lavender etc. around the house. The sea is just few steps away from the house, stone beach with sunbeds and direct access to the sea. But what really made our stay were the owners - Sanja and Vlado, providing excellent customer care and helping out with everything we have needed,answering all the questions and giving recommendations for restaurants and places to go. If you are looking for the place you can relax, be away from crowds and noise, that´s the place to choose! I would recommend Villa Tempera to my friends and we are definately coming back!

Amazing place to vacation.

The house itself had the perfect combination of luxury and charm. It was bright and inviting in order to create a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. We really felt “at home” in the house which is not always the case when travelling. Our three young children were with us and they had a wonderful time as well. The beautiful view of the Adriatic combined with the gentle sound of the water lapping against the rocks and the aroma of lavender from the gardens created aesthetic perfection. The gardens were immaculately cared for without looking overly manicured. After viewing the description of Villa Tempera we had very high expectations and we must say they were all exceeded. The owners were so welcoming and kind they actually made the experience even more exceptional. From the stocking the kitchen with grocery items that we requested to giving us advice on where to sight see and eat out. We cannot wait to return to Villa Tempera. If you are vacationing in Vis, then you must stay here.
