A gem of a find to stay!!

We were welcomed to a very easy (and late night) check-in. Walkout daylight basement has been recently remodeled as a perfect getaway. Wonderful host, located in a beautiful spot with a magical firefly show every night—kids and adults loved it! We were so pleased to stay here and received a very nice tour of the home chicken coop with many egg laying hens. It was clean and a wonderful memory for our family!

Baseball Tourney Stay / BEAUTIFUL Accomodations

In town for a 4 day baseball tourney at Gutchess Lumber Yard (2 dads and 2 players) and this VRBO beat expectations. Place is very big and super nice. Celeste definitely put a lot of thought into the layout and decorations. It all flows so nicely together. The views of the rolling country are stunning. And there is a nice, covered, outdoor lounge area for taking in the sunsets. Just beautiful all around. The bagels, muffins, coffee, and fruit that was waiting for us, was icing on the cake. Thank You Celeste!

Pictures cannot convey how beautiful this is!

The apartment and the view are both stunning! The square feet of the bedrooms and living spaces are generous and well laid out. Even the half bath off of the living space was nicely sized. There was a cozy outdoor space overlooking the sweeping views that my daughter particularly enjoyed. And, the folks who selected the interior decor understood the assignment! It was the perfect balance of elegance and simplicity, down to every end table, ornament, armoire, etc. Most of the pieces are antiques that draw the eye and calm the mind. Most impressively, our host Celeste was the perfect balance of welcoming and available, as well as respectful of our privacy. She thought through details like having phone chargers on the living room unit, a welcome sign with my name greeting me by the kitchen, freshly laid chicken eggs and artisanal pastries, an invitation (which we took her up on) for my daughter to see the chickens. Also of note was that we felt very secure with the security of our unit (I have not always felt that way at other places I’ve stayed over the years, believe me!) We were supremely happy with our stay! As of the time of this review, there was no television in the unit. Also, there was no dishwasher. Both things were perfectly fine for us because our goal this time around was to help a family member move into Cornell. So, by the time we got back to our rental unit, we just wanted to relax in silence and peace. If my daughter was bored, she just jumped on her tablet.
