The room was very nice other than our tub drain was slow so had standing water in the tub as we showered but told the desk when we left as not a big deal to us but made them aware. When we arrived and parked our car there was a man opened his unit window and took pictures of us which concerned us. I went to ask if maybe we were in his spot we could move and he slammed the window shut and pulled his curtain. We did move our car and spoke to the desk about the incident and they immediately went to address the issue.

Great stay

My only complaint was not being able to extend my stay by ome day through VRBO, in the same manner I initially booked. We were in town for UAH orientation and really enjoyed this place. Great location (2 miles from UAH, Calhoun, Cummins Research Park), less than a mile from Bridgetown Shopping, and half a block from interstate access that will drop you right off at Midtown. Very clean and quiet.

Very pleased!

We were very pleased with the location and the cleanliness. We needed to extend our stay… that was a little aggravating through VRBO, but Sonesta was very helpful and friendly!!

Property was ok. Showed some age in the room…torn fabric on the chair. Pots and pans available but showed some use. Shower was clean. Staff was nice.

Lack of Communication During Crisis Situation

We saw lights and looked out our window. We noticed a very significant police presence in the parking lot. The situation intensified when a command center was set up. Then crime scene tape was added around a group of vehicles. Crime scene tape was tied onto my vehicle. I was never contacted by anyone to inform me what was happening despite having my car make, plate and my contact information on file. SWAT TEAM showed up and helicopters and/or drones flew overhead. Lasted several hours. We asked the next day what it was, they claimed that they didn’t know. I found the article about it after we checked out.

Not sure if I would use again

The room was too cold and the thermostat would not adjust the temperature. The tall lamp next to the bed was not plugged in and had no where to plug it in. The picture of the room was not the same as the room I received. If I was sharing the room with another person there was no bed for a 2nd same sex person. My inquires were not answered in a timely fashion. The a/c fan was loud and the hotel was busy. The room was pretty clean.
