SPRING and SUMMER RENTAL - AVAIL beginning May 8. Bring your friends or family & spread out in this 3 bedrooms/ 2 bath garden level, 1st floor apt w/ direct access to side patio with BBQ. Building is located just 1 block from the beach, 5 blocks to charming downtown shops, & less than 1/2 mile to Asbury Park.

This Apartment is the garden level unit of a large 2 family property. It includes One (1) king bedroom with en suite bath, One (1) queen bedroom w/ patio access, one (1) bedroom w/ 2 twin beds, comfortable living room w/small dining set, 2nd full bathroom, fully stocked kitchen, & private washer/dryer. SMART TV, Wifi and window A/C in all bedrooms and common areas. Includes 4 beach badges, beach chairs and beach towels. All bed and bath linens included as well.

Separate exterior entrance as well as direct access to fenced in side patio with table/chairs and BBQ.

Sorry smoking.or vaping anywhere on property.

One (1) quiet, housebroken dog considered on case by case basis with flat $100 pet rent.

Very family friendly. The main bedroom had a bathroom attached and was very private. It was separate from the other 2 bedrooms, living room, bathroom, kitchen and back patio, giving everyone space. The only downer was one bedroom and the patio had 2 steps to enter, and us old folks had to watch out, but the young ones had no problems. The one block walk to the boardwalk/ beach was great, could walk to shops, restaurants and the Auditorium easily.

Ocean Grove gem!

The location was perfect! One block from the beach and a 5 minute walk into town. It was quaint, quiet and a simply wonderful respite!

Lovely Stay

Everything was very nice and clean. Lovely corner unit. Had everything we needed. Had to leave early due to being evacuated for Helene. We would stay here again.

Stay here!

This first floor apartment with three bedrooms, two full baths, kitchen, living room, etc., is roomy and in an excellent location. Quick walks to the beach and to Main Ave. for its shops and restaurants. Asbury Park is also with an easy walking distance.

Amazing neighborhood

The property is well maintained. The listing is accurate. The neighborhood is amazing if you're looking for beautiful homes. You're 100 yards from the boardwalk. A 10 minute walk and you're in Asbury Park. We would definitely stay again.

Delightful Apartment That Feels Like Home

By shear luck we booked a stay at this spacious apartment expecting it to be small, but we had plenty of room. The master suite is quite private with its own bathroom and closet while the back bedroom, where I chose to stay had access to the back patio which reminded me of a courtyard with beautiful flowers, an area to sit, access to the front sidewalk and a grill. The location was a block away from one of the best beaches at the Jersey Shore while being on a 10-15 minute walk from the hustle of Asbury Park. We absolutely loved our stay and how accommodating the property manager was. Getting ready to book next years summer vacation.

Great space in a great location, but here are some tips...

The property is well kept, the unit was clean and as pictured w/the exception of the white side table which weren't there and would've come in really handy. There was no coffee table, so you had to put your coffee cup on the floor. The master King room is great and very private w/a very comfy (firm) mattress. The metal dining chairs were uncomfortable, but you may not care about that if you plan on eating out. The Twin room's mattresses were very soft and uncomfortable for an adult but probably fine for kids. The back Queen bedroom also has a very soft, marshmallowy mattress. The windows were only covered by sheers so the neighbors across the patio can see into the room. There's no privacy for changing clothes or sleeping. And when the neighbor turns on their patio light, it shines right into the room. The ceiling fan was the only source of light which could not be turned off. The remote didn't work, so the only way to sleep was to remove the light cover and unscrew the light bulbs. Suggestions for this room: blackout curtains and lamps. The coffee maker does both pods or a full pot. Basic cooking tools are supplied except for salt & pepper and a pizza cutter. There's no vent hood, so cook on a low flame or the smoke detectors will go off. I learned to open the back door to vent the kitchen. No ice maker, but ice trays are in the freezer. The property mgr was communicative and responsive. The neighborhood is lovely. I would absolutely stay here again.

Ocean Grove is an extraordinary community with a wonderful mix of full-timers, part-timers and visitors from all walks of life who come together and care for each other and our community. Our seasons are full of festivals, community activities, arts and cultural events and plenty of opportunities to just chill with a good book, and ice cream cone or a good cup of coffee. Admire the architecture and gardens, catch a sunrise and or stroll past friendly folks enjoying "porch life".

18 Abbott has a rich history. The large structure began as a hotel called The Metropolitan in the 1910 - 1930s. Was renamed The Helen under new ownership through the 1940s and early 1950s.

We suspect that the current Garden Apartment was likely used as a restaurant and common space for the hotel.

The last 20+ years, the property has operated as a two-family home with its spectacular view from the 3 large porches. This is one of the largest non-commercial rentals properties in town.
