Kingfisher – Modern inside, gorgeous outside

Get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and relax and refresh in this stunning one bedroom home in the ranching division of North Double Diamond. With breathtaking views in all directions, deciding if it’s more gorgeous inside or outside will be difficult.

Kingfisher is a custom-built Hebel block home featuring a king-sized bed and a comfortable sofa bed accommodating up to four people. Modern, clean lines in the home are vastly contrasted with the secluded rustic views of the Glass, Fort Davis, and Del Norte Mountains. A large wide deck with seating allows for astonishing scenery no matter the time of day or night. The pristine and fully-equipped kitchen with Corian counters is the perfect size to prepare your own meals or just refill your glass of wine. Kingfisher is a guest home located on the same property as the owner’s home; however, there are no sight lines between the homes. Guests will enjoy complete privacy during their entire stay.

Guests will have full access to the home, the outdoor deck, and the driveway up to Kingfisher.
A detached garage nearby will not be accessible to guests. The driveway continues past Kingfisher and becomes a private driveway to the owner’s home. We ask that guests do not go past the green PRIVATE DRIVE sign.

Kingfisher is located in the housing division of North Double Diamond, known for its large tracts of land, amazing views, and privacy. The home is approximately 7 miles south of Alpine on Highway 118.

1. Entrance key opens to right/closes left and has a security catch stop. So it may feel like it doesn’t open or lock unless jiggled.
2. Lights operate by touch on/touch off, hold for dimmer.
3. Please be aware that this is a rural home in the country. There is wildlife and native species all around. Please beware of snakes.
No smoking, no parties, no pets.
Please do not drive past the PRIVATE DRIVE sign.
Please do not set hot items or cut items on Corian countertops.
Please keep the sliding glass doors shut to keep out critters!

The house is great! We have never stayed at a VRBO as clean as this place! Host is amazing made a special request for our arrival and she did an Amazing job making us enjoy our night with special drinks! Great view and beautiful sunrise. Asked for dining recommendations and they were spot on. Highly recommend if you are going to area get this home!

Beautiful and spotless home with stunning views. The high ceilings, abundant glass doors & windows, and light interior all highlight the natural beauty and open space. We loved the synthetic wood deck that allowed us to comfortably walk barefoot outdoors. My favorite was having coffee on the deck at sunrise. We would love to return if traveling that way again.

It does not get any better than this!!

Entire stay was wonderful! Location was perfect for Alpine and for going to Big Bend national Park. View from the deck was amazing – great sunrise and sunset. Everything was so clean, neat and comfortable. Property manager very helpful with the few questions we had. We will be back the next time we are headed to West Texas and we’ll plan on a longer stay

Quiet scenic casita

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this property while in Alpine watching our son play baseball. Amenities were incredible and some of the softest sheets we’ve slept in!! Great morning view of the sunrise is a must. When we venture back to Alpine, we will stay here again and tell our friends.

Fun place to stay!

Very neat and fun place to stay in Alpine. Short drive to town, and close enough to Big Bend for a couple day trips. The house was very neat and had everything we needed for a getaway. Would stay again!

The location was ideal to visit all amazing surrounding, historical places. Big Bend was an hour away. The house was beautiful and clean. It was tranquil and no neighbors. It was definitely the perfect vacation!

Beautiful views!

The home was lovely, just like the pictures, conveniently located to Alpine, Big Bend and Ft Davis. We enjoyed sitting outside on the deck. A stand out feature are the views from inside the living room and bedroom through the oversized windows.

Comfort and Beauty

The house is in a beautiful neighborhood about 15 minutes from Alpine. The house is spotless and well appointed. It was a wonderful place to enjoy the natural beauty of the area and yet close to town.

Marathon2Marathon Stay

We booked this property as a convenient location to the race in Marathon, Texas. The home was beautiful, very modern with beautiful views of the countryside and stars at night. We enjoyed our time but found the house located much more convenient for our spur of the moment visit to Big Bend and Fort Davis. Hopefully the bedroom lighting will be fixed before other "older" guests visit. It was difficult for us not having any bedroom lighting other than the closet light. No other complaints and in fairness April did advise that the bedside lamp had recently been broken and would be replaced as soon as possible.

Amazing stay!

This place was beautiful. It was very clean and modern. The host communicated everything very well with us. The stars at night are a sight to see and a sunrise in the morning is a must. I highly recommend this property to anybody looking for a quiet getaway.

What a Sunrise

The property was amazing. The bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in and the house was super comfortable. We loved our stay. The sunrise was beautiful so when you stay here, get up early so you can enjoy the colors. It changes quickly. We absolutely loved the property manager. Thanks April!
