We rented this property for approximately three months while relocating my elderly parents, one of whom is wheelchair dependent, so reliability and accessibility were extremely important.Unfortunately, our experience involved repeated property maintenance issues throughout the stay, including water service interruption due to the utility account not being current, internet service interruption, a dishwasher that did not function properly, flooding in the mother-in-law suite, poor yard maintenance, and several other unresolved concerns.Despite these issues, we remained respectful, addressed concerns directly, and left the home in good faith. Prior to move-out, we hired professional cleaners who stripped all bedding, washed linens, and thoroughly cleaned the property. After checkout, the owner filed a 270 property claim alleging missing items, excessive pet hair, and damage. These claims are disputed. The home was marketed as pet-friendly, many of the conditions cited appeared consistent with ordinary turnover cleaning, and several of the alleged issues were either pre-existing or could have been resolved through standard cleaning. What was most disappointing was the attempt to assess additional charges after we had already experienced multiple significant inconveniences during an extended stay.If considering this property, I strongly recommend documenting the condition of everything at move-in and move-out, maintaining all communication through VRBO.
